Sorry but none of that made any sense to me. I disabled the cache plugin and the mobile plugins, and it’s still showing a mobile version on desktop.

Weirdly it started showing the desktop version on mobile this morning, but then switched back to mobile again.

There is clearly an issue with your theme. Sure while I am logged in as an admin it shows the website correctly on desktop but for anyone not logged in it shows the mobile version.

Yes this is with the most update version of your theme

Nevermind I spoke too soon, within a few minutes it went right back to showing only the mobile version on desktop again

Nginx Helper plugin is disabled (which is the cache plugin) so it’s not that. And I also disabled tagDiv Mobile Theme so its not that either. Likewise AMP is disabled, so again it’s not that.

BTW I have these same plugins on other instances of this theme on my other websites such as https://www.yamhilladvocate.com/ and it’s not causing the problem but I am using an older version. So the problem seems to be your newer theme versions.

Ok thank you I was able to correct it by purging cache using the plugin and that also fixed the security issue.

Also in another matter the site is being listed as not secure by Microsoft Edge browser, even though it has a certificate and is using HTTPS it looks like your theme is using mixed content and scripts it doesnt like

I also noticed that category pages are not displaying articles in the bottom vertical section beneath the slider.

Please give me support because the feature is clearly broken. This is preventing me from being able to launch the site to the general public. Please provide me info so I can send the login info so your engineers can fix the bug. Thank you.

It is not a plugin conflict, I tried disabling every plugin and its was still bugged.

I responded to your questions in this thread.

Yes, as I said, I disabled the feature and it is not doing anything. It is not a plugin conflict.

Please give me support because the feature is clearly broken. This is preventing me from being able to launch the site to the general public. Please provide me info so I can send the login info so your engineers can fix the bug. Thank you.

There are instructions for how to disable it here,

https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/post-appearance-how-to-disable-follow-up-content/

Although the toggle isn’t working for me personally.

I’m also using the child theme. Forgot to mention that.

I’m using Gutenberg for the editor. I figured out that I can use Gutenberg to set the font size for each bullet point so that it will match the font size of the global settings, which is annoying but a workaround.

To answer your question related to the autoloading of articles (infinite scroll),

“5. Please make sure you have disabled the auto-loading option https://forum.tagdiv.com/infinite-loading-single-posts/”

It is disabled. It’s still loading articles anyway.

I’m using the default Newspaper Pro theme and dummy data.

It was actually loading different articles just fine, until yesterday. I don’t know what happened that caused it to break but none of the setting changes are having any impact. I have it turned off, I have it set for zero articles to load even. It’s clearly broken.

Actually I was wrong. I tried disabling auto loading of articles on the article template page and it’s not doing anything. It is still repeating the same article over and over again.

Example,

https://www.yamhilladvocate.com/2021/10/newberg-city-manager-dan-weinheimer-resigns/

It just repeats the same article

I found the answer to the infinite scroll settings on this thread
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/post-appearance-how-to-disable-follow-up-content/

The font size of bulleted text is still way too small because it doesn’t adjust with the other font size settings.

Example of what I mean,

https://www.yamhilladvocate.com/2021/10/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-newberg-school-board-lawsuits-that-the-newberg-graphic-isnt-telling-you/

In fact, I think in general the size of text for the sidebars and even the author name is far too small. Most people can’t read this. How do I increase the size of text for these areas?

I’m experiencing a bug where the same articles are being shown repeatedly in the “infinite scroll” of the article page. How do I turn off the infinite scroll?

As an update, I managed to find the option for the menu background image under backgrounds / mobile menu. Still unsure how to change the colors for the vertical mode menu so my logo doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.

YamhillAdvocate

I have another question with the default News theme I loaded the dummy data with.

Where is the option to change adjust the header colors for mobile vertical mode? It changes from a white background header for all other versions to a black one. This looks bad given the logo has a white background for all others, so how do I fix this? I need to adjust the header to be white, not black, and make the magnifying class and the header menu (the three lines button) to be black instead of white.

Also where is the option to change the background image (a girl in a blue striped shirt against a blue background) which appears when you press the header button to bring up the menu on vertical mode? I want to change that background image but have no idea where that option is.

For the inline article ads, what is the point of having a section of the Ads manager that has code for automatically inserting the ads into the articles if you have to manually ad the ad code to every article? I don’t understand.

YamhillAdvocate

Thank you for the responses.

What comment plugins will work with this? I do not want people to make accounts on my site because its not secure, and I also do not want to allow “guest” posts because it’ll just result in a tremendous amount of spam.

I normally use Disqus and if you’re saying your theme doesn’t support Disqus, I need an alternative.

YamhillAdvocate

Also under Font Settings, the BODY – GENERAL FONT changes don’t apply to any text that is part of a bullet list. So I have super small text in my bullet point sections of articles because the font size isn’t increasing with the changed settings.

YamhillAdvocate

It seems your theme is not compatible with Disqus, in particular using the plugin pipDisqus to replace the comments system with Disqus. Is there a way to fix this?

YamhillAdvocate

Also article inline ad, top ad and bottom ads do not seem to be doing anything. I tried to ad code for some custom ads, just a link to a photo and they aren’t inserting into any of the articles.
