Visual Composer not working

I couldn’t get Visual Composer to work on my news site.

So I just added a dev subdomain and installed a fresh WordPress, with no plugins, added Newspaper 6.7, activated the theme and added Visual Composer plugin.

VC still doesn’t work for me.

If I create a new page and click “Backend Editor” I see the VC panel.
But when I click Add Element or Add Template, nothing happens.
Adding a text block works, but thats not very useful, except it shows something works.

There can’t be a plugin conflict, so that must mean VC is looking for something that it isn’t finding – what is it?
Is it permissions? How do I debug it?
(I turned on debugging, but there are no errors listed.)
I loaded DebugBar – it also shows no problem.

Newspaper works perfectly, and I am very happy with it.
The only problem is Visual Composer.

My parameters are the same as the requirements.

There are no other plugins installed, this is a fresh installation.
How does VC check it is an authorized installation?
I think it must be related to that.

As a test, it is running on a dev. subdomain. The live site is running in the document root.

The problem is there are no error messages and I don’t see a way to debug what it is doing.
– Also, I have a question –
– why, when this is licenses to Newspaper, does this v 6.7 have a “Product License” menu item (6.5 did not)

I have been a regular user of Newspaper 6 and the theme has exceeded my expectation so far. However, since two days ago I was unable to activate the visual composer to edit my pages. When I click on the elements such as tagdiv blocks, text box, image slider etc., it just doesn’t show up for me to build my page.

Please help.

Cancel and Reinstall the plugin and it will work!

Hi, I have the same problem with Visual Composer, the page can’t load VC, the one thing I see of VC is the circle turning, thats all. I deactivated, deleted, reuploaded and activated. Nothing to do.

I had the same problem. I tried to edit the homepage and all I could see was the circle turning, nothing else. I upgraded the theme to the last version and so VC. That has done the trick. But I am afraid there is a problem with at least one block: block 18. The block contracts and the same happens with the photo.

But I have the latest WordPress upgrade, theme and also VC. I actually upgraded everything two days ago. I have no plugins because this is a local installation I use for testing purposes. Yet block 18 is broken. And it doesn’t happen if I install the previous version of VC. Of course when I install the previous version of VC, all I see is circle turning!

I had the same problem after updating to the latest version of wordpress.

I had also installed the new version of Newspaper, 6.7.. but nothing. I can only edit my pages manually.

So I’ll wait for an update, ok?

anyway, Newspaper is always the best theme ever!

Your patience with us is appreciated. Uploaded new newspaper Theme, uploaded new composer and all is working again.

I also have the problem with the visual composer…

Since the last update Version 6.7.1 I have a problem with the visual composer. The Visual composer isn’t activated anymore. I’d try everything is written in the documentation and this support forum but it doesn’t work.

The versions are 6.7.1 of the theme and version 4.11.2 of visual composer. I installed the visual composer new for 10 times, but no changes.
