Hi folks, i just bought and set up my site using newspaper theme. when i test it’s performance using gtmetrix, I got F score on Page Speed. “Serve Scaled Image” is main problem.
I already check on my server that each time I upload image, wordpress automatically duplicate and resize image into different size. My question is, why wordpress did not choose the closest image size to the one that theme needed to display?
Anyone ever faced same problem? would be great to share your experience to solve this problem.

The theme will create it’s own thumbnails from the featured images you set for your posts

These will be used on the blocks that you place on pages and used in various other locations on the website.
The thumbnail sizes can be enabled or disabled in the theme panel. For each thumbnail it is specified where it is being used
