Hi, Tagdiv composer and visual composer can only be found in page. There are no options to create rows and columns in post. There is no page builder under post. Is it suppose to be like that or there is something wrong with my installation?

Thanks

Hello squallhajime,

Notice that you can create your own post template from Cloud Library and customize it with TD COmposer as you wish. For more information about this setting, please check our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Thanks for your understanding!

Thanks for the reply the error is gone now. But is there any way to activate visual composer on post module? As for some of the posts, I need to create them like this: https://backlinko.com/mobile-seo-guide. While others will just be default one.
I tried using the cloud library, it feels more like creating a template than creating a post.

Thanks

Hello squallhajime,

Sorry but please notice that Visual Composer has not been tested on post pages and we do not recommend something like this, unfortunately! Notice that we have a cloud library and from there you have an option to create your own post template using the TD Composer. Please check our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi I understand you guys have a cloud library. I have also went through it thoroughly but it is more for creating a template layout for single post rather than on the post itself.

My objectives are simple, I need to create post that has columns and full-width designs. I cant keep creating a new template when i have a post with those requirements.

Here are some fundamental problems using the cloud library:
– If I create my entire content manually on to the template, it doesn’t make sense as I have to create another post then use that template I have created manually for that post. It is double work. And anytime when i want to edit it, i have to edit the template and not the post. This will also result in having many templates.
– The worse part is that any templates created have their own unqiue page url too. Means it will be a duplicate content with my post, causing a lot of SEO problems. So if i have 10 post that requires fullwidth designs, I will have to create 10 different templates and set them all, 1 by 1 to no index.

Dont get me wrong your theme is wonderful, cloud library is great but it doesnt solve my problems. I am only asking to be able to create posts like pages where I can set columns and full-width designs.

Hello squallhajime,

Please understand that’s the only available way for creating posts with TD Composer. You should create some single templates with your desired design for your posts and then, choose it for your posts. You will do not have double content as you said above. To preview your custom template, the content is just a dummy data and if it will be loaded to your post, this layout will be fit to your own content and also, the Seo will not be affected in any way.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi, I know what you mean but it is just not feasible. I have to create a blank template from scratch with different sections and rows. Apart from the blank template, there are really no other “single post templates” that I can use.

Those other templates are more for people who wants to change the look of their header while the body content is taken from the post itself.

I have mentioned that I have to create something similar to https://backlinko.com/mobile-seo-guide. As you can see the content body is broken into different full-width sections with different colors and not just different headers.

So in my case, I can only create a blank template and insert my content DIRECTLY into the template itself. I cant use the WYSIWYG editor in my post at all. So essentially I have to manually add my content into the template like this URL for example – http://exopetguides.com/tdb_templates/blank-single-template/. Then link up the post that I want to create but without any content in its WYSIWYG editor.

In other words, it won’t be dummy content but my actual content which appears twice. One in the template URL you see above and another – my post URL. Can you see the duplicate?

Furthermore, all my content should be consolidated in under WordPress post section. and not some under Post some under Cloud Templates.

If there are really no more solutions I may find another solution.

Hope this clarifies

Thanks

Hello squallhajime,

Unfortunately, there is no other option than the one presented above, regarding on post pages, sorry! All the settings for creating post templates using our page builder can be found here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Thanks for the message!

I have exactly the same question/issue.

To the original poster:

Did you find a solution or workaround for this problem?

To the theme creators:

Is there literally no other way than this?

Hi,

@Simenkon
Visual composer (now WPBakery page builder) can be enabled for posts if needed, in it’s settings. So if it is required that you build actual posts directly with the page builder you can do that
https://www.screencast.com/t/qUNniU8CQ

Using the tagDiv composer you can write the post normally in the WordPress editor, then design a post template with this composer and the cloud library plugin. There are beautiful post templates designed by our theme, more will be added.

You can test these templates live here – https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
Click to preview templates and even edit them with the tagDiv composer to see how they are made, modify them etc.

Thanks

Is WPBakery included in the latest newspaper theme update? Or it’s a completely standalone premium plugin?

Post count: 20688

WPBakery is always included in the theme package, in the plugins folder
https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
https://www.screencast.com/t/4rHXCpGgL

This bundled plugin version dopes not require activation, install it and use it

Hi,
So if I understand correctly the only way to get 3 images in a row in the post itself is to use the WP Bakery Pagebuilder in the post? And make a surrounding template in the Cloud Templates. Will that work or will it break the page in some browsers? I mean; is that a recommended stable solution?
Or are there other ways to layout the post itself?
Should I use HTML?

It would be great if Tagdiv Pagebuilder also worked in the post itself.

Hi,

@rozemarijn
If you want three images in a row in the post content you could simply add them there like that, when writing the post. For example
https://www.screencast.com/t/2VuZDboble

We don’t recommend WPBakery on posts, as the guide mentions
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
In the past that created layout problems when also the tagDiv composer was active, we fixed most of them however.

I can’t say at the moment if the tagDiv composer will be available for creating actual posts (post content). I am not aware of such plans at the moment. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi Simon,

Thanks for your reply. How should I do that? Do I need to use another plug-in or do I need to use HTML? Simply putting the images in the editor and trying to align them doesn’t work…

I also need downloadbuttons below each picture.
Kind regards

Hi Simon,

I think I found a solution. I can use the new Gutenberg editor to layout my posts (post content). Hope it works without problems with Newspaper.

Kind regards!

Nope, if I install the Gutenberg editor, the Tagdiv composer isn’t available anymore. So I found another work-around. It’s a bit odd but it works for me for now.

I create a page which I don’t publish. Here I compose my content with the Tagdiv composer. I close the composer, copy the code and paste it into the post. Now I have a good layout for my posts. I duplicate the post everytime I need to and change the content, the image values and download urls where necessary.

It’s workable but far from ideal so I hope you guys will make the tagdiv composer available for posts in the future.

Kind regards!

Well, since Gutenberg works great with Newspaper now, the workaround I came up with is not necessary anymore. 🙂
