Hello,

Recently I installed Newspaper on a brand new WordPress. After activation, I wrote some posts and set a default homepage. To each post I uploaded a featured image.

The problem I am facing is that the theme is cropping just ONE thumbnail although the default blocks display images that have different aspect ratio.

As a result, no matter what image size the featured image has (and no matter what the aspect ratio is), on some blocks it will look alright while in others won’t. (As it’s impossible to display one thumbnail in boxes that have different aspect ratios).

Here are an example: I uploaded a simple read image. With this aspect ratio, it looks OK in the boxes from the left part, but it looks bad in the boxes from the left side (compare the red one with the default ones).

If I change the aspect ratio to suite left side, it is broken on the right side.

Another example: I uploaded a picture to suite the left and the top side. Look at the thumbnail in the middle (compared to the white, default one). You can notice the created thumbnail has a different width.

Is there a way to solve this? Each block need it’s specific thumbnail aspect ratio/size else 2 different blocks cannot be used on the same page. And this is kinda theme related…

So, I’ve tried everything to fix this.. my VC is there.. but when I try to edit in backend it does nothing.
it doesn’t allow me to switch.
I’m also having problems with Text & Visual buttons, they dont let me switch between them either..

Any Ideas?..

I’ve tried disabling all plugins. Does’t work..

Only thing I notice is when I hoover over the bankend editor in chrome, it says Javascript:;

thats all that its saying.

I am having trouble with the format of my h1 and h2 headings. They have worked in past blog posts, but I couldn’t get them to work at all in my latest. Anyone have tips for fixing? The settings in my theme panel are correct, so not sure what happened. The headings are set to all caps, teal color and Oswald font.

I am facing a problem with tags. I added few tags to some of my articles in capital letters. For example: TAGDIV. Now I want to add the same tag but in small letters like tagdiv. But when I try to do that the final tag that is published always remains capital TAGDIV (as it was the first tag added).

The text in bulleted lists doesn’t wrap to the next line properly.

In the full width site, I don’t have any long lines of text that would wrap to the second line in a bullet.

But, when displayed on a mobile device, the text in bullets wraps to a second line. That second line doesn’t align with the first line of text above it. The example of bulleted text is: Worn down by trying to juggle everything. The word “everything” doesn’t align with the line above it. This is true for all of the bullets on this page.

When the page was created, I used the Arrow List format in wordpress for all of these lists. But, they display as round bullets. I thought Arrow Lists wrapped text properly.

Rather than correcting each bulleted list separately, I’d like to make the correction to any and all lists.

How can that be done?

I want to post news from many newssiye , example – bbc , cnn , ch4 .
End of the post this should be original news source name , but This shows my name as a author . I can take the author name off from the post but in the actual site under author name come my id from wp . I want to show the original name of the source and original author name . Please give me a instructions.
Moreover I can see in the tutorial video of newspaper shows me a plugin when editing post , I don’t know the name of that plugin so I can use the same way as the tutorial shows .

We purchased a theme license to use in a development environment (www.develop.com – example).

Each new client under development is a subdomain in this development environment (www.develop.com/client1 – example).

We now redirect a customer’s domain (www.client1.com) to the http://www.develop.com/client1 environment and purchase a new license (for the domain http://www.client1.com).

How do I change the license (purchase code) of this environment using the new one? The active license is the one we used in http://www.develop.com domain (example).

I`m testing the Newspaper-Theme within a localhost-installation and will go online at the end of the week. I was able to configure most of the things and I am happy with the theme. But there is a question about the thumbsize of Big Grid 1 elements.

I`ve managed to edit the thumbsize (height) of Block 5 elements from 324×235 to 324×324 and it worked.

I did the same for Big Grid 1 elements and changed them in td_config.php to 265×265 (4 small items right) and 534×534 (1 big item left).

Then I regenerated the thumbnails again but nothing changed in my Big Grid 1 on the homepage. The elements still have the default sizes (534×462 and 265×198).

Do I have to take further steps to change the Big Grid 1 Thumbsizes successfully?
