Main issues with AMP is bad HTML (inline styles in your post), or a bad plugin injecting javascript into header, or a bad configuration with a CDN or compression service that tries to re-write/compress the AMP code and breaks it.

Old posts where you might have put in a YouTube video with ‘http’ might also not work as all external stuff should be https for amp.

This is a great thread. I have been trying to work with the AMP plugin from Automatic as well as the AMP Glue from Yoast … even with those two turned on, the website is still not passing the AMP Validation when tested.

and where can i fill in the red marked area? i did the margin on top & bottom of this row, but it only did the bottom margin.

I’m trying to figure out the same. I followed the video tutorial and have 0 in Facebook likes. My page is a Community, have the Facebook Application as online (not in test/dev mode).

I try on online website and offline (wamp) have the same thing.

On the online website, I saw another thing, in widget page, some items are disabled like td_demo_sidebare_fashion/tech/sport/video/fashion etc. Now I can’t setup facebook id, key etc …

Someone can help please ?

I did use Visual Composer to create my page layout and set title of each box categories already! My problem now is: I want to start insert content into each box column, but when i put my post, it appear in every column, which i doesn’t want that!!!
My question is “How can i set my post to appear in each destination column?”
For Example: I create a post name “Football” and i want to appear only in “Sport Column” not other column that i have on that page!!!

Second question: I want people be able to create their post/article on my site page, which function or plug-in should i use?

Hi

Basically you will need a function which pass the value from url as a tag in block’s shortcode. Here is an example code which insert a custom value in shortcode:

$v = $_GET['val'];
$block = '';
if (isset($v)){
$block .= do_shortcode('[vc_row][vc_column][td_block_11 tag_slug="' . $v . '" limit="3"][/vc_column][/vc_row]');
}

This code can be used as a function in fuctions.php then you can try to generate a new shortcode for that block using add_shortcode() function. For more details about add_shortcode function check this link: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_shortcode After you generate the shortcode can be used in visual composer. Note that you will need some codeing skills in order to complete this task. I’ve offered just a basic example above but if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer customization services at the moment.

yes i had proper id, but as i can see its not playlist ID but video ID – that is quite confusing.

and btw video ID can have - (dash) in it as your’s example shows on politics demo jV-VGfDcbiQ and dash here is not separation but its an ID.

still, after providing video ID it did worked. IMO it labeling could be improved.

CAUTION:
note in my functions.php example above/prior post I have this section which you may not need; I use this for changing the author slug to profile for specific site; but not needed for most folks and you would also need to update the templates for Newsmag to point to /profile/ vs /author/.

This section near top likely NOT useful to most folks and can be removed:

I don’t think any kind of “slideshow” would work unless you have build out your own custom template. AMP is really more for stories, not for viral slideshows.

In our case we were able to do our own ‘related posts’ using the CRP plugin, then simply including the shortcode via a hook, along with a string to include link back to the story page and message to follow us on Apple News channel if using iOS device.

If I have time I’ll try to post that someplace.

Right now I’m in process of “thinning” Newsmag 3.1 along with the custom composer plugin to replace the v2x version and TD ‘SHIM;’ for one of our sites as text (server crash messed up the site, so seemed good time to move onward ) … just took 50kb out of main style.css since we don’t use BBpress/forum or Buddypress. Boom 50KB gone from style sheet 🙂

Also just to add – I’ve been using the Automattic plugin with Yoast Glue, Yoast SEO and there is also Custom (AMP) Accelerated Mobile Pages plugin by lamvt – this adds ‘related posts'(although at random dates) and it adds your mobile menu -they all work great with the theme – I don’t use any of my ads at all – why? because the AMP pages show up in search results (currently only news carousel though this will change soon) – and therefore they’re probably new visitors who will view the main site at some point, page views increase anyway, brand awareness increases, and the big regional competition aren’t using AMP yet because they’re scared – so I actually look better then many regional brands – the theme works perfectly with this set up for me.
