Hi,

The default font settings are set in theme files in wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css also if you are using demos those have special style file for example -> https://www.screencast.com/t/9hrkhYPPLR wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/demos/animals/demo_style.css so when the settings from theme panel are set to default will be apply those settings.

Thank you for your understanding!

My subscriber count is set to be shown, however, it doesn’t appear IN the Subscriber Button on the channel homepage (like in your example), but rather under the channel name. It does appear IN the Subscriber Button on individual video pages though.

Hi,

For example if you want to change the h4 from the header blocks you need to go in wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/block_templates/td_block_template_1.php
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/Sfgugzt7
( this will change only for block 1 ).

In order to change the post title h you need to go in wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_module.php
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/L9StdPLSt

Hope this will help you!
Thanks.

Hi,

Today I noticed “/?tdb_action=tdb_ajax” extensions after some links and in those pages it only shows the beginning of the post as you can see in this example:

https://ailevecocuk.net/bakan-ziya-selcuktan-ders-saati-degisikligi-aciklamasi/?tdb_action=tdb_ajax

I checked it both on mobile and desktop and it is the same.

The user can’t view all of the post.

In analytics I have seen there are many pageviews like this.

https://prnt.sc/n7f71m

I’ll be glad if you could help me how to fix it.

Best Regards

Sorry but the new implementation requires /?amp.
This is the officially AMP implementation. The old one is deprecated and it will no longer work soon. The official amp plugin made this change in their new implementation.

Hi,

The first important step before making a full update or change your theme is to make a full backup to your database to avoid losing all of your data, sorry! The cause of your lost content may be for several reasons. For example, in the beginning, when you start to create your website, if you import a demo with content and then if you were edited all of these posts with your own content when you update or change the theme, all of these data will be lost, sorry! In principle, all of the content created from scratch should have to be loaded into your database because this is the default WordPress functionality.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi,

For the moment there is no plan to implement the Google Custom Search in our theme, this can be achieve manually or using some plugins
https://www.google.com/search?q=wordpress+google+search&rlz=1C1GCEA_enRO812RO813&oq=wordpres+google+searcj&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l5.6135j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

I checked what you said and the problem still the same.

Here is an answer I got from AMP author Plug in :

It looks like the PHP CSS Parser is tripping over one of the stylesheets your theme is including.

However, it is somewhat difficult to identify which stylesheet specifically is the problem.

Your theme is including a very large amount of CSS. Even after tree shaking there is almost 500KB of CSS, while the maximum amount of CSS allowed in AMP is 50KB. So 90% of the CSS needs to be eliminated to be AMP-compatible.

I have checked your website, I see that the theme sharing is not enabled. Please enable the sharing like this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/sharing/
Then the theme sharing buttons will appear on AMP.

Hi,

If you want to insert a Google Map location at your footer, notice that you will have to take the code from the Google Maps from here -> https://www.google.com/maps?ll=6.268678,-75.596392&z=2&t=m&hl=en-US&gl=RO&mapclient=embed&q=Medellin+Antioquia+Colombia and add it inside an Inline Text Element, Text with Title or Column Text as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/TqSH3g1G Another easier method would be to import that section from the Cloud Template from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/dchK9CweRNWm

Thank you!

I’ve tried what I suggested above putting these codes into the header.php of the child theme but unfortunately – this means that the code doesn’t work on mobile OR amp pages. Obviously I need the code to work on mobile but be ignored in amp due to the errors.

Could someone from tagDiv chime in please?

Hi,

@inav
If the subscriber count is not displayed on YouTube the social counter will not display it as well – http://prntscr.com/n7b2jz

If it is displayed, it will appear. For example – http://prntscr.com/n7b36j
http://prntscr.com/n7b3ej

@HallmanDigitalMediaLLC Maybe it is the same for you. Let me know.

Thanks

Hi,
The logo and menu on my website seem to appear on two separate lines and when I try to reduce the logo size nothing happens. Take a look at this image:
Example

I would like the logo and menu, as well as the search icon to all be one the same line. The logo should ideally be a bit smaller too. I’m guessing that there’s a dedicated space for the logo and for the menu but I haven’t found a place to adjust this.

I’ve been searching around on the forum and haven’t found a good answer so I hope that you can help. Thanks!

Hello,

I have upgraded to the latest Newspaper theme version 9.6. I have also used one of the new headers that you have introduced starting v 9.5. However, I see the following problems after using it:

1. Header ads are not visible although I have turned them on, inserted the Adsense code in the theme panel.
2. I have also used the header for the mobile version of my theme. But on the mobile the revised header colour scheme, etc is not visible. I tried many options like deleting history, cache, cookies, etc but still the mobile version is showing the old version.
3. In the mobile version, the latest article is not listed on the home page — i.e. it shows the previous article as the latest article. For example, if I publish something new on Wednesday, it is showing Tuesday’s article.

Please help how to fix it.

Hello tagDiv Team,

I’ve just updated our dev environment to the latest version of Newspaper + the mobile theme and followed the instructions to do so.

Unfortunately, when I add Analytics and JS code to the site under “ANALYTICS/JS CODES” in the theme settings it leads to AMP failure when checking via Google with many errors. It appears that the mobile theme is attempting to convert the code into amp-friendly without success. As soon as I remove the code from this section all the amp tests pass perfectly.

An example of the code I am using is below:

<script src="//static.getclicky.com/js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">try{ clicky.init(1234); }catch(e){}</script>
<noscript><p>Clicky</p></noscript>

<script async src="//sub.domain.com/js"></script>

Is there any way to tell the mobile/amp theme to ignore these?
If not, could I place directly into the header.php in a child theme?

Thanks

Hi,

1. Yes if you want to have the desktop content on your mobile version you need to use the “AMP” option from mobile theme.

2. You can check all those boxes, like in our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/ , by default are checked only few because more customer want to have in special amp on posts or pages.

3. We recommend to use WP Super cache,

4. All existing post/page will be automatically make amp if the box for those are checked in Map> General -> https://www.screencast.com/t/FL2E6AOwd6 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QL0m2LL5Zq

5. If you are not using mobile theme with amp you can choose the native and paired mode for amp -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ScLq4L47td and the ‘validated urls’ and ‘error index’ will appear again, unfortunately those two options need a template for amp version and our theme do not have one, that’s way wee recommend to use only the classic mode -> https://www.screencast.com/t/G994kkdcnZ if you have mobile theme activate this will automatic handle the ‘validated urls’ and ‘error index’.

Thank you!

Hi,

I tested this on my end, I have two languages in my case. So I translated the menu from the initial language to the next – http://prntscr.com/n79j1k
Now when languages are changed with a switcher for example the menu will change as well
http://prntscr.com/n79nrvhttp://prntscr.com/n79nwx
In the translated menu you can only add categories, posts, pages etc created in the respective language, so each menu should show content accordingly. Maybe double check how the menus are set.

Thanks

Hi,

Please check our documentation for How to Make an AMP Ready Website with Newspaper Theme
-> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
Also please check our documentation for mobile theme automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
If you want to keep the desktop layout on mobile you can use from Mobile theme the “AMP” option https://www.screencast.com/t/jcbjyrjrjgW , and your website will have on mobile version the same content and design as on desktop, and only the amp post/page will have the mobile theme design.

Thank you!

Hi,

The auto ads need to be set in Newspaper > Theme panel> Analytics/Js Codes -> https://www.screencast.com/t/76QOyEIy

Why you need to set ads different in single post template?
In this way you can use the same single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library with out ads on post were you do not want to have ads and make a copy of this template and set ads in it for the post were you want to have ads ( the ads in single post template can be set using tagDiv Composer -> https://www.screencast.com/t/dYEh4nIv you can set as many ads you want using the ad box -> https://www.screencast.com/t/IiAlsDAT -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7ua8g3oti).

Hello thank you, but I can change everything by following the capture except the footer. I have no control over the elements of the footer.

(I would just like to change the category of framed items. For the element that is framed in white I want for example to put a map of google. Is it possible to modify the template of a footer : https://www.pinalinfos.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/footer.jpg)
