Multumesc!
Hello Laure,
If you update your theme to the latest version, then an option for post filter will be displayed in the block settings: http://screencast.com/t/HoYF5eBzj
You will need the post id’s you can get from here: http://screencast.com/t/XGSnwffI4rc
Thank you!
Hello ape,
Please notice that DON’T MISS is a block on the homepage wich is added with Visual Composer. If you want to edit, you have to access the block settings like this -> http://screencast.com/t/BGcbqljeXPD and Style hunter, Vogue, Travel are some categories on the site and you have access for it from the panel like this -> http://screencast.com/t/yzXm6myShMKU -> http://screencast.com/t/oYC9gBoRb5e
For more information about blocks, and mega menu, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about your desired changes and also, provide your website URL so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hello svharishtech,
Our theme uses a lot of predefined thumbnails in blocks and modules. If you check the Theme panel->Block settings area you can see the list with all dimension of the thumbs wich is used in the theme and which elements -> blocks/modules uses -> http://screencast.com/t/tQuimSer9 If you want to exclude the cropping system wich you have to use the right dimension for your images.
Our theme uses the system of cropping from center to top. The theme uses thumbs to reduce the page size and speed up page loading time. From each image uploaded are generated thumbs for each thumb size used by the theme. Basically, when a post it’s displayed on the page in a block, the featured image displayed is not the one which you uploaded in the media file, it’s a thumb cropped from the original image at the precise dimension. To change the picture orientation most likely you will need a different cropping system. We use a WordPress function – add_image_size() – you can read about it here – https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_image_size – and here – http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/
Our theme crop (cut) thumbnails in some cases to avoid creating a lot of thumbnails in order to reduce to load more spaces on the server.
Hope this helps!

Hello,
You can filter the categories shown in the big grid or on any visual composer blocks by setting the categories you want displayed in block settings: http://screencast.com/t/Uy780IYi
you can see the category id’s here http://screencast.com/t/c8iyl0MFKvos
You can read more about block settings here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/

Hello,
The top menu does not appear on the mobile version by default. This was a design choice. It can however be activated with custom css:
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display:block!important;
}
.td-header-sp-top-menu{
display:block!important;
}
.td-header-sp-top-widget{
display:none!important;
}
}
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi,
I made new categories for all our content and I want to display it the way it was in the demo settings in the Mega Menu and in the block below that.
How do I get these categorie filter options?
– for example in image of mega menu: All, newlook 2015, Streetfashion, Stylehunter, Vogue
– for example in image of Content Block: All, Stylehunter, Vogue, Health & Fitness, travel, Gadgets, More..
Please advise!
Thanks
By the way: I tried to create a new VIMEO playlist on a new site. …and it worked fine. So I tried to copy the HTML-code to the other site (our starting-site), but it didn’t work; The content-list is still empty.
I used the following HTML-code
[vc_row][vc_column][td_block_video_vimeo playlist_title=”UNSERE MAKING-OF FILME” playlist_v=”153667269, 57849038, 38450441, 36763627″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
Hello,
You can change the style for a big grid element from block settings. You can try it out here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-3/ and change different styles to see how it displays. The one you are looking for is style 4: http://screencast.com/t/6fIvRBnt
It can be found here in block settings: http://screencast.com/t/Qg7rQAaa
Thank you!
Hi,
You can see every shortcode like Chris suggested like so:
add a block element in visual composer on a dummy page: http://screencast.com/t/jSkjHH9SH
then enter classic mode and text mode: http://screencast.com/t/sKvHNpoFCqx
Thank you!
Hello
I added this code to Custom CSS in order to change the title size on mobile, block 18:
@media(max-width:767px){
.td_block_18 .td_module_mx8 .td-module-title a{
font-size:20px!important;
}
I have been looking for in style.css, and I have seen this piece of code related to block 18:
Block 18
*/
.td_block_18 .td-block-span12 {
width: 100%;
}
.td_block_18 .td_module_mx8 .td-module-thumb {
/* responsive portrait phone */
}
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td_block_18 .td_module_mx8 .td-module-thumb {
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
}
.td_block_18 .td_module_mx8 .entry-title {
/* responsive portrait phone */
}
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td_block_18 .td_module_mx8 .entry-title {
font-size: 18px;
line-height: 24px;
}
}
.td_block_18 .td_module_mx8 .td-module-meta-info {
/* responsive portrait phone */
}
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td_block_18 .td_module_mx8 .td-module-meta-info {
padding: 0 14px;
}
I can´t see exactly the same code to replace here, where I should put the custom CSS?
Thanks
I used this custom css but maybe a mistake ?
.sf-menu > .current-menu-item > a, .sf-menu > .current-menu-ancestor > a, .sf-menu > .current-category-ancestor > a, .sf-menu > li > a:hover, .sf-menu > .sfHover > a {
background-color: #F5F5F5;
z-index: 999;
border-bottom : 2px solid black;
border-top: 2px solid black;
}.td-header-menu-wrap .sf-menu > li > a:hover, .td-header-menu-wrap .sf-menu .current-menu-item > li > a:hover, .td-header-wrap .header-search-wrap .td-icon-search {
color: #000;
}
.td-header-menu-wrap .sf-menu > .current-menu-item > li > a, .td-header-menu-wrap .sf-menu .current-menu-item > li > a:hover, .td-header-wrap .header-search-wrap .td-icon-search {
color: #000;
}

Hi,
is there a way to use custom taxonomies within the Newsmag-Theme?
I read that you’re planing to implement it – is there a roadmap or milestone?
I saw a post, where you gave some hints to implement it – could you provide some more detailed information?
I’m also looking for a template hierarchy to understand which file does what.
Couldn’t find anything like that.
King regards,
Guido
Hi
Your screens indicate some of the theme’s blocks customized very well. However to achieve that result are required some serious css customization which unfortunately falls beyond the support can offer. If you need this my advice is to look for someone which can help you because we cannot offer customiszation services at the moment.
Thanks!
Am inteles, multumesc.
Am alte doua necunoscute, as vrea sa aplic heading-ul H1 pentru titlurile articolelor afisate in blog page si sa le reduc dimensiunea de afisare si H2 pentru titlurile articolelor block-urilor afisate in sidebar, dar si in cazul lor as vrea sa reduc dimensiunea. Unde trebuie facute modificarile ?
Hi
You can edit the posts displayed in this block: http://screencast.com/t/lsnK4QM1kROv from Visual Composer pagebuilder: http://screencast.com/t/wr9hXXZ5yZ For more details about how can you customize the homepage please check this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
The indicated widgets are actually blocks from Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/tiZgngyzhgxP
This: http://screencast.com/t/pRKcTS96m is a block 7 and can be found in footer 2 widget: http://screencast.com/t/o9tQI3yLLE
If this is not what you mean please provide more details.
Thanks!
Hello,
The meta information was hidden for mobile devices but you can force it to display with a bit of custom css:
@media (max-width:767px){
.td_block_big_grid_5 .td-module-meta-info{
display:block!important
}
}
Thank you!
Hi,
Also you might want to check your thumbnails. Your site uses the full size image for blocks, not the thumbs. Please activate the thumbnails from the theme panel for the blocks you use, then make sure your featured images are bigger than the container of the blocks and then regenerate your thumbs (remove any image plugins such as photon from jetpack as they create problems with the theme thumbs). This greatly affects performance.
Thank you!
