Hi,
I’m using Newspaper 4 with block 2, but I think after I just updated Visual Composer Plugin as per directions of Envato, the blocks have the wrong size now.

There are 4 blocks that should line out wide but now they are small.
Any ideas?

2. and the side bar ads coming in latest article section, I tried to put AD Section above of sports, I put ad side block there, but its not showing there.

Please let me know if there other setting.

My site is a book review site and I have two questions:

Question #1 – I would like my first section of the Home page to show the latest picture book reviews. I tried

a. using an animated slider but the images came out too small–even when I set them to large. But once I set them to full, they were too big, so I couldn’t use that.

b. Using a Big Grid, but the images are always too large and too dark, so I can’t use that.

c. I inserted a Block and tried to filter with the category “Latest.” The problem is that the “latest” filters only go back for 7 days. But I haven’t published a new review in 10 days so nothing’s showing. How can I customize this block to display book reviews in descending order (from last review posted and backward).

Question #2 – How can I place an image on the Homepage sidebar? It’s probably very simple but I’ve been at this all day and I just can’t figure it out.

Hi guys,

I am trying to edit pages and posts with visual composer, but when i try to edit a text block, it doesn’t work. The content itself doesn’t show up, and all I can do is hit ‘close’ or ‘save changes’, as shown.

I assume that there is a conflict somewhere but I can’t find it so far. I have done the usual uninstall/re-install, deactivate all plugins and reactivate them one-by-one, etc. I am running the latest version of VC from this week’s Newsmag update (2.2.1)

I LOVE Newspaper! I just used the theme to upgrade my WP site and here are a few challenges I’m having:

1. The Page Template Setting: At the bottom of my homepage is a pre-defined template called Home Page Latest Articles. I would really like to delete this entire section because it’s a duplication of the content in the upper part of the page. But if I can’t delete it, I’d like to figure out how to change the content. Right now my site is in maintenance mode, but I can send you the login if you need it.

2. Just want to make sure I understand about “filtering” a category. If I set a block and I want it to show just one category, do I have to type all the other categories in so they won’t show up? Or do I type in the one category that I DO want to show up?

After activating td speed booster, following all the guides, implementing the Chris magic bunny code and other goodies, and searching a bunch of support post, I’m down to just one render blocking js on Google PageSpeed:

I tried adding this line to td speed booster:

$this->move_js_to_footer(‘jquery-migrate’);

but it did not work. Any ideas how to deal with this last render blocking js.

Hi guys!

would like to insert in my home screen a mini audio player with 1 track (this is because we have a magazine and sometimes we do interviews and let the people hear them or download them).

What should i do?

Need:

1- A Page to show the interview (written) and the audio embeed.

2- At the home screen let people hear the last interview with some mini audio player.

Any idea how to do it? Is there a plugin for this? (free…hope so)

hi, i did look in to the forum and try out all the code about showing the login on mobile device, but still cant get it to work, i do understand the code have to put in under theme panel> custum CSS and the code is

I’m working on you wonderful theme and I have a couple of question to better understand how to achieve the result I’d like.

First is about review: do they have to be at the bottom of the post? is there a way to threat them like a block and have it in a different place? I’d like to keep them just on the left 2/3 of the page and I’d like to have a Block 16 just below. As far as I understand Reviews are in post settings that makes my request not achievable: am I right?

Second is about text with image: maybe I’m missing a something, but, in a 2/3 – 1/3 layout, I would like to have a column on the left with an icon and a text or a small custom image and a text on the same line and occupying the left 2/3 of the page. How can I achieve it?
