I guess that Christopher referred that you need to redo some settings when you update the theme. Some on modules/blocks or widgests don’t exist anymore for example search module – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/search-not-displaying-results/ Also you will have to re-add the widgets to your sidebars, as they will become inactive.
The import script does the following operations:

• Imports the old settings to the new theme
• Renames all the shortcodes from your pages to the new names
• Imports all the sidebars
• Renames all the widgets from the sidebars to the new names

Regarding WordPress update, it should not affect your settings, but it is recommended to backup your site – https://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress

For pages if you use the default template, the sidebar will not be displayed automatically, you will have to use Widgetised Sidebar block and set the sidebar that you want to display – http://screencast.com/t/d7GcirmcZ
For post pages please note that you can set a general sidebar from Theme Panel > Template Settings – http://screencast.com/t/Q6oRBR7VZ This general setting will be overwritten if you use a custom sidebar for categories – http://screencast.com/t/HWcKhV4wUi means that all articles from this specific category will have the category sidebar. Also if you set a custom sidebar for a specific post will overwrite all panel settings – http://screencast.com/t/wRlYzW8z

Maybe the plugin can be used only from Widgets section. In this case you can create a custom sidebar, add the widget into it from Appearance > Widgets and use Widgetised Sidebar block to display it in a page content.

If you use multiple category filter, you can display only articles from specific categories. If you use 97,98,96 only articles from these categories will be displayed or if you use -23,- 66 all articles from those categories will be excluded on the block.

You can add a featured image on page like this – http://screencast.com/t/RqeVJSR3EkxV but please note that the view counter was designed on post pages, so it will not work on page template. Also the post views will not be displayed on modules/blocks, if this is what you mean, you will need custom work to display it also there. Hi,

There’s no ideal image size, the modules have thumbs with different aspect ratios and a part of the image may get lost on the cropping process. You could read more about the featured image size here (it’s from Newsmag documentation but the principles are the same) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/image-size/ You have to do some tests and see what aspect ratio to use, depending what blocks/modules you use most.
Also if you want to change the crop mode or add a different thumb size, you need to alter the code – http://screencast.com/t/7nlYBLgcfb also the thumb is used in the modules – http://screencast.com/t/U34sGuJ2gfX If you make any changes you will have to regenerate thumbnails – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/

Hi,

There is no option to stop the sticky sidebar in the specific spot. This depends on how many widgets do you use in the sidebar. On scroll down it will become sticky at the last element from sidebar and on scroll up when it reaches to the first element. A solution it would be to use less widgets in the sidebar so your ad will be visible all the time on scroll up/down. If you use tagdiv blocks there you can also limit the posts there so you can display less articles in a block instead of default value(5) – http://screencast.com/t/0Y0hUCBk

If you refer to the pagination arrows for page template with latest articles(or any loop pages- category page..) unfortunately this cannot be targeted to change the background(only if you change the bg for all links – http://screencast.com/t/7q9u1HAdNw42 ), bu you can change the color for arrows – http://screencast.com/t/6iCsMt7L6
