Hi

I am using the homepage-blank template and used the page builder to build the frontage and am wondering if I can insert a background to the slide block as it is on the demo page on the hompepage with background option? I am currently using a site background also from the customize section for the entire website. can the two be combined?

Hi,
Suddenly I realized that all the sentences in my blog are “glued” : no more break line, all the layouts of the texts are broken. Each article is like an uniform block. The only solution is to put html tags manually, without visual editor. But it’s too much sweat to do that everywhere !

I didn’t do the last update of Newspaper. Should I ? Or no link with my problem ?

Thank you for help

Hello,

Unfortunately, you cannot add the pages to blocks, only to menu. Or if you go in Appearance -> Widgets you have the Pages widget
and you can have all pages of the site in sidebar or where you want.

Hey guys,

I’m just wondering if there is a relatively straightforward way to add pages to blocks?

Thanks,

Rob

Hello,

Please edit the big slide block and you have the option to hide the title like here: http://screencast.com/t/keYkGFP3XJ

Hello,
We will release version 1.3.1 of the theme. It includes a fix for this bug. Until then you can add this to your style.css at the end:

.block-title {
  font-family: 'Roboto Condensed', sans-serif;
}

Sometimes, the block titles don’t show well in Mac computers with webkit based browsers (Safari and Chrome).

Examples in your demo site that don’t show well in Mac (OSX Lion, tested in Safari and Chrome, last versions).

http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/gif-animation-support-as-featured-images/

http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/shop/

http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/blockquotes-pullquotes/

Weird, because in the first example, only show bad the Facebook widget title. In the other examples, show bad all the titles. And in other post/pages, show wells all the titles.

An image caption of Safari and Chrome showing bad the title, while Firefox shows well:

http://content.screencast.com/users/LabiosDeCenizas/folders/Default/media/6f79f4c0-1d65-4cb0-827f-0faaa053b53a/BUG.png

The example it’s taken from your online demo site.

It’s a problem that only affects mac computers. Chrome for Windows show wells the titles.

I have a lot of mac visitors in my site. It’s important to granted that they visualize well the site.

Hi there

before buy Newspaper theme, I’ve seen that in the demo the user can disable the responsive feature, and at that point, every devices load the appropriate version, blocking at the user the capability to “resize” live the layout after loading.

We need to activate this feature in our blog because otherwise we could experience a lot of problems with advertising.

But unfortunately I can’t find where or how to do this in my live installation.

Someone could help me with this issue?

cheers

W.

Hello,

sorry for the delay. We were all out for the weekend. I’m glad that you managed to fix it.

Figured out pagination.

<?php echo td_page_generator::get_pagination(); ?>

I think I’ve resolved all my issues on my own. You can close this out.

Thanks!

I think I may have got a template running (really basic).

Another question: Is there a way to call up your pagination code in:
td_page_genenator

Similar to the homepage with background pagination?

I setup a custom post type and wanted to loop through it on a page while preserving the theme, sidebars, etc. Ideally I’d want to create something like a custom block using something like the visual page editor to control how my custom posts display on a page. However, that’s probably not realistic.

So, my questions would be:
1. Is there a “blank” page template with just the settings in the theme available? Something that I can use as a base for setting up my page?
2. Is there a template for creating blocks so users could take your existing blocks and tweak them to maybe fit a custom post type or something else?

Thanks!

Great job ! Thank you so much for your very quick answer.
Ok, I got everything right with your solutions.

PS : after edit the contact page by following your way, I can see now in the pages list. But not before. Now it’s ok.

Hello,

1. the footer is made from 3 widget zones (sidebars). You can modify the widget that holds the footer logo here: http://screencast.com/t/cxHCXwDcdH9

2. you can edit the contact page like this: http://screencast.com/t/yxxknhzMQQTk … The contact page should be available in the page list.

We have some very nice documentation: http://import.tagdiv.com/newspaper/doc/#footer and I will update it with a tutorial for the homepage 🙄 sorry about that.

Hi,
I have just installed the great Newspaper them and the one click demo.
Now trying to built my blog over.
But on every page, a block with Newspaper logo and your text appears at the bottom, just over the footer box. How can I disable this block or change it ?

I’d like to do the same about the contact page, I didn’t find how to turn to my own adress informations (the contact page is not available in the pages list).

I will appreciate a lot a quick answer from you, thank you a lot for your help.
