Hi,

You should check plugin’s documentation or support page for that.

How do I empty cache or purge files?

Lucian

Hi,

Please send your site’s URL so I can inspect this.
Also make sure you empty cache.

Thanks

Thanks, but that doesn’t seem to have worked. I disabled WP Super Cache, and added the code.

As you can see, it does something, but it only removes the icons and not the actual post count (which is very different too!)

Post count

Hi,

The post views show the post views not the page views, this may not be accurate due to cache. If you use any cache plugin please make sure you empty cache and try again. You can also use accurate post views by enabling the Ajax post view count option from theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/MlrXSFCk
To remove the post views meta from homepage only use this custom css in theme panel > custom css filed: http://screencast.com/t/2UtVihhbqC8

.home .td_mod_wrap .meta-info .td-sp-ico-view, .home .td_mod_wrap .meta-info .td-nr-views-244 {
display: none !important;
}

Thanks

hi,

First please make sure you check this without any plugin active and empty cache and/or purge files if you use any cache or CDN plugins.
Please let me know what you find and also send your site’s URL so I can inspect this.
Regarding your request we will consider them for the next updates but because we have over 160 features requests we have to be very carefully what we pick so we will implement this is more people will ask for it.
You can try to add something like this to your page to resemble your request of an parallax header: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/full-width-image-header-on-hompage/#post-18712
Hope this helps!

Thanks

Hi,

This may be due to other plugins, maybe some that add other shortcodes and remove those from the theme. Please make sure you deactivate all plugins and check this again. Also empty cache and/or purge files if you use any cache or CDN plugins.
Please let me know if this helps or not!

Thanks

Lucian

Hi,

You should deactivate all plugins and check again. The problem in your case is not that the link on categories tags don’t work is that the category page it’s not loading.
Deactivate the plugins and empty cache if you use any and also purge files if you use any CDN plugins.
Please let me know what you find.

Thanks

Hi,

Please keep in mind for future updates to deactivate plugins also empty cache and purge files if you use any cache or CDN plugins this usually helps you find what causes issues or fixes them.
Regarding captcha, for now, I can only inform you that we have this on our todo list and consider it for future updates and to be honest we haven’t decide yet if we will implement it or not so I can’t give you an exact answer. What I can do though is to point you to a discussion about this which maybe you can find useful: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-think-captcha-in-registration-is-good-idea/
You can also follow this topic to find out how you can get the best page speed score: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/pagespeed/
Hope this helps!

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks TheMediumUTM!

@PGN

Unfortunately I can’t give you an exact answer regarding this plugin as we haven’t made any tests with it but considering TheMediumUTM you can give it a try and if is suitable for what you need you can use it.
You can also post here your experience using it if you decide to try it so other theme users would know what to expect using it.

Thanks

I’ve used it with some success. The two plugins do work together, I found, but WP Super Cache makes development quite a pain because of how aggressively it caches (at least by default) and hence needs to be cleared to see your changes.

I was using W3 Total Cache without minifying Javascript or CSS, as per the docs here, but a profiling plugin showed that it was actually consuming a good deal of CPU and contributing to load time, so it was kind of self-defeating… Currently I’m using the free Cloudflare service with all performance settings turned on (although some people report problems with minifying), and simultaneously trying out the high-rated caching that comes as an option in Wordfence Security … yet to see what effect those have together.

So, uh, yeah, a bit messy. But anyway, WP Super Cache should be okay.

My hosting support suggests I use WP Super Cache to speed up my wordpress. Does that plugin work well with Newspaper? and would that work with tagDiv speed booster?

Hi,

This can be due to a plugin you use which can cause this js errors that I have noticed in the console for the site’s on which the slider don’t work:
* http://screencast.com/t/t76L9wRy7I
* http://screencast.com/t/d2L69i1FGNK
Please make sure you deactivate all plugins, empty cache and purge files if you use any cache or CDN plugins and check again for this errors and if the slider starts working.
Please let me know.

Thanks

Image uploading managed by WordPress and your hosting account, not by the theme. Likely best to try a different browser, try clearing your browser cache, etc.

I sometimes get an error uploading a file in WordPress since WP 3.9 came out, for no apparent reason. I usually just try loading it again. Works. Try the “locate file” option and then try the drag and drop version.

It’s usually something stupid in the way WP setup their media manager after 3.9, and I’ve seen it on varied websites I manage, different themes, etc.

One workaround I’ve heard is to save a draft first, as it “might” be the auto save conflicting with the media uploader; meaning you can’t upload image if WP is auto saving a post you’re working on.

Hope that helped.

Error - reply

Hi,

Thanks Christopher!
If you have configured the cache right: https://forum.tagdiv.com/w3-total-cache-configuration/ please deactivate all plugins, empty cache and try again. If you still get that error please remove and re-install the cache plugin and if this doesn’t work either please please try to make a backup of your current theme installation and re-upload the theme files again.

Thanks

Hi,

The mobile icon it’s set to show up using js on click, some plugins may conflict with this and as a result this issue appears.
Unfortunately your CDN plugin may cause this as ut;s delivers cached files so please make sure you also empty cache and purge files.
Deactivate speed booster also, this may cause something like this also when used in conjunction with other plugins.

Thanks

Probably need to adjust the software you’re using to create the cache.

See https://forum.tagdiv.com/w3-total-cache-configuration/

I continue to get:

“Recently an error occurred while creating the CSS / JS minify cache: File “/home/grpdrw/gomerblog.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/js/site.js” ”

I have emptied the cache a ton. Any suggestions? Thank you
