I decided to quit WP fastest cache to WP super cache, now everything is ok
Hey guys,
Cloudways demand that I enable the Breeze caching plugin, which will help add Gzip compression. I already use Super Cache, as recommended by tagDiv. Is there a way I can configure the Breeze plugin to mimic the Super cache configurations? Does the Breeze plugin conflict with the Newspaper theme?
The speed of the website is quite poor, considering its servers. What are your recommendations?
Thanks.
Hi,
Please clear all cache and make sure that the ads form sidebar are delivered and are approved.
If there is still a problem, please provide me a link where I can inspect the problem.
Thank you!
Hi,
Make sure that is not a firewall security from host or some Wordfence.
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi,
The tagDiv Composer is a builder for pages and templates only, not for post, only for post templates, so if you want you can use it on a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library.
If this is not the problem, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Also you can check a similar topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/showing-an-ajax-error/

Are you experiencing such issues? In what circumstances do they happen? Generally 500 errors are internal server errors – https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-internal-server-error-in-wordpress/

Hi all – thanks very much for your advice here. I followed your advice here and I’d like to review the results:
1) I would suggest using an image optimization plugin to optimize all images – I installed the WP-Optimize plug in that saved over 200 MB, per their logs.
2) setup Cloudflare CDN or re-enable Jetpack Photon – I have enabled Jetpack site accelerator (the new version of Photon). Is there any benefit to also enabling Cloudflare on top of this?
3) Make sure WP Super cache plugin settings are correct – confirmed
4) Use plugins like Autoptimize – installed
After performing all these tasks, I re-ran the PageSpeed Insights report and it still looks like I’m being penalized for items that the above processes have fixed. For example on the home page on desktop :https://www.screencast.com/t/dOQwdfG58KXs, these images have been reduced in size but are still showing up on the PageSpeed reports as an issue.
Further – on the home page for mobile there’s still images that I optimized and shrunk in size, but are still showing up on the test: https://www.screencast.com/t/dOQwdfG58KXs
I also understand that my home page has a video element that is slowing down my page, however after the above work I looked at another page that does not have video – https://www.pinkluggageabroad.com/riad/. On this speed test, the desktop report recommends I lazy load offscreen images which I’ve done via Jetpack – https://www.screencast.com/t/pzzLUPMn. The mobile report has the same lazy load recommendation and has issues with these images, which I have optimized – https://www.screencast.com/t/en9PBfEVZH7i.
I really would like to improve these scores and I appreciate your help. Thank you again.
Hi, when I update posts, I get this error:
Updating failed. Error message: The response is not a valid JSON response.
I’ve deactivated all plugins except tagDiv ones. This is my php configuration:
PHP Version: 7.1.33
memory_limit 256
max_execution_time 300
max_input_time 300
post_max_size 256M
upload_max_filesize 128M
opcache.enable on
disable_functions opcache_get_status
Ok, I figured it out.
I removed the logo from the Theme panel Header > Logo and Retina Logo. Flushed the cache. Then went to the homepage, edited with TD Composer, clicked on the logo there and removed both versions within TD composer. Flushed the cache. Then added logos back under the Theme Panel. Then error resolved.
What a mess – hope they fix that!
Also, be sure there is no text logo or description in the theme panel, otherwise your graphical logo won’t appear (a bug?).
I just installed a fresh version of Newspaper v10.2 and get the following type of error, like many others here:
Warning: getimagesize(https://www.xyzsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/np10blue.png): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found in /wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/header/tdb_header_logo.php on line 782
I tried removing the logo, clearing the cache, etc. Doesn’t work. How is this fixed?
Dear Tagdiv,
we are using SuperCache and Fast Velocity Minify.
When running page speed insight>
Remove unused CSS 0.44 s
for … /header-06f201bc.min.css
Eliminate render-blocking resources 0.28 s
for … …out/header-06f201bc.min.css 177 KB 710 ms
…out/header-826b5626.min.js 76 KB 590 ms
What would be your recommendation?
Hi tagDiv team,
Currently I in dilemma to choose the best cache plugin for my site.
I don’t know your theme not suitable with W3 Total chache plugin.
While my hosting provider use W3 total cache plugin to make their CDN work well..
I already ask them if they have setting with WP super cache. but unfortunately, they don’t.
My question is, do you have setting for W3 total cache plugin? or, what should I do?
1. As you find optimizing images manually tricky/time consuming, I would suggest using an image optimization plugin to optimize all images on your blog.
2. After you optimize all images, you can setup Cloudflare CDN or re-enable Jetpack Photon. Cloudflare/Jetpack photon will surely help your blog to serve images faster.
3. Make sure WP Super cache plugin settings are correct.
4. You don’t need Shareaholic as the theme comes with inbuilt share buttons.
5. Use plugins like Autoptimize or Fast Velocity Minify to optimize scripts on your blog.
I hope you will find this helpful.
Hi,
What you can do is to deactivate the cache plugin and check to see if this situation is still persist, if not then the problem is the cache plugin, if you do not have any cache plugin on WordPress, then you may have on host.
Thank you!
