Hello bodyworld,

Did you have used another page builder than our page builder or Visual Composer? I have inspected your source page and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. I suggest you disable all of these, clear all the caches and check the results -> https://www.screencast.com/t/o4ncBteOij Also, if the problem is still there, you should make a new install to another subdomain for testing, clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello mukteshpatel,

If you are using some tested plugins, you should remove all of them, clear all the caches and check the results. Try to resave your permalinks and check the results.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks.

Dear Support,

My website address is https://newstorion.com.
Please be informed that it still showing the old cache after installing demo version.
When I logged in to wordpress and browse the website via “visit site” from admin panel, it shows the new updated demo version.
But when I log out and browsing the website, it still showing the old one.
I would appreciate if you may suggest on this.

Best Regards,

I found out that the sorting option. Most commented. Don’t work aswell.

It is sorted the right way. But it displays just random post in this category…

https://imgur.com/a/IGpksk9

Any ideas what is causing the issue? I purged the cache severall times. And it will display the same 3 posts.

hello guys,
i just run some File Changes and Malware Scan with Wordfence on my admin panel, and found 2 files different from the original wordpress core files,
“wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php” and “wp-includes/SimplePie/Cache/File.php” files
so i am wondering, did the Newspaper theme maker make this changes, or it is hacked?

many thanks!

I changed it to all categories purged the cache and it loaded up other posts. Then I switched back to the category AFL. And again it displays the same 3 posts.

The strange thing is when I switch categories inside the tagdiv composer it will load up the new article but it won’t save it. After saving it will keep at the old 3 posts.

Don’t know whats going on with this.

I know this is one the theme won’t want to reply to formally, as the official line is WP Supercache, but none the less I expect a good few Newspaper users prefer Rocket.
I wondered if anybody would like to enter into a dialogue about optimum configuration of Rocket and/or Cloudflare with Newspaper?
As in what works and what breaks.
I have tried with Supercache, but for non techs it is a bit clunky, added to which the newspaper documentation isn’t up to date as to recommended settings anyway (they are aware of that and have said they will be updating it).
But for me I prefer the Rocket interface and documentation hugely. Plus in my situation it integrates with Siteground’s own server ‘Supercache’ (settings and clearing applied to one apply to the other), and it also has a Cloudflare connection.
I have this set up running like Usain Bolt on my other websites, but I am struggling with Newspaper so probably haven’t got things set up quite right for Newspaper’s needs yet. It is particularly slow in the backend.
Perhaps some other users with similar issues will come across this post and we can try to help each other out. If you are reading this more than a few weeks after I posted it, I’ll hopefully have it sussed and can pass on the knowledge.

Hi,

Thanks for that, I’ve read about child themes and it seems to me that it’s safer to do it via child theme, which is unaffected by potential future theme updates?

On another note, I just noticed that WP date format doesn’t display the date numbers with ordinal indicators (st, nd, rd, th) even when I changed this option in WP settings and WP preview shows it correctly, however the front-end does not (so WP preview shows correctly 20th October 2018 (either when set as default option or custom field), but the front-end still shows “20 October 2018”). The same btw happens when you set it in Polish, which is even more wrong, because the name of the month should change grammar form as well, and it stays in nominative. Is this sth that depends on your coding (theme) or should I ask WP about it? I deleted cache several times, logged out and back in and nothing helps. Am I missing sth here?

Apologies Sinisa for hijacking your thread 🙂

Thanks, regards

Hello bodyworld,

I have inspected your source code and I saw that you are using an untested caching plugin (WP Fastest Cache) which might cause a lot of unknown issues. We recommend using the WP Super cache setup according to our useful guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello, I run 7 different sites using Yours amazing theme. Great work guys, really.

I have a problem regarding AMP. I wanted to set it up on https://jotem.in I did everything like You wrote on FAQ. I cannot see it working using mobile/dev tools. I thought that this is related to WP Super Cache. I disabled it for tests. I received message form Google few days later, that i should fix problems with AMP and it has pointed to 470 posts so far. I dont know what is wrong and why it is not working.

Google says:
– Non standard JavaScript which is forbidden
– There is no mandatory “amp-custom” tag
– Wrong href attribute in CSS
– Wrong Div tag in JavaScript “amp-auto-ads extension .js script”
and much more

but /wp-admin/* is excluded form cache and I’m talking about logged in experience..

This is what I see in themes section – https://ibb.co/bZYjd0

And this in theme panel – https://ibb.co/nG3T5f

Hello rahulroushan,

I guess that you have not installed the theme as expected or maybe you have a CDN which delivered you an old version of the theme. Clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results. Also, if the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further investigate it closer your setup page. Provide there the link of this conversation so we can quickly identify you.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Yes the problem is a css, first is set the theme color, then is over set your color ( https://www.screencast.com/t/84qFqSsKL ).
You can try to install super WP Super Cache ( https://ro.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/ ), and test if the problem is still there.

Thank you for your understanding.

I’ve searched this forum and see a few people have asked about timestamps not showing. I’ve seen a few notes about the possibility of a conflict with WP Super Cache. My client’s site does not have that installed, and is hosted on WP Engine. I spoke with their support and they said that the Newspaper theme “may require certain caching exemptions in order for this to work correctly. The developers may be able to provide these requirements.” Are there such requirements? If so, they’re pretty cool about tweaking the server settings.

It’s crucial I get this running for my client. He runs an actual newspaper and has to have that timestamp on all posts. Thanks!

Hello,

I do have an problem with one Post.

https://football-austria.com/dragons-verlaengern-mit-jeffries/ => That’s the new Post. Posted with category “AFL”

But on the Main Page nothing is displayed. Do you find any mistakes I did?

I purged the cache several time. But nothing changes.

Tagdiv Composer: https://imgur.com/a/Tns4TYV When I press save it loads. But then nothing happens.

Hi,

1. First make sure the general meta you want to display is enabled in the general block settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/yHHNBnc1DfS
Then in the flex block setting you can enable/disable the meta
https://www.screencast.com/t/whPPwhWI
If all of these settings are enabled and the meta is not displaying, please provide a link to the website where this is happening so I can take a look.

2. That sounds like a caching issue. Try to clear the cache of your plugin or server provided cache after you make a setting. That should refresh the website. The theme by itself has no caching.

Thanks

I hope you can help! Featured Video is not creating a Featured Image, and nothing is showing on the grid on the homepage. (https://www.staging1.themultimedianinja.com/)
I am using one of the specified Post Templates (Post Style 2 now, but I have tried Default, 1, 2, 9, 10, and 11). I have the post format set to Video. (https://www.staging1.themultimedianinja.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Screen-Shot-2018-10-17-at-6.21.09-PM.png) I have tried reinstalling the theme via ftp, repairing the database in cpanel, clearing local cache (and disabling Cloudflare, etc.), removing any plugins that aren’t critical… Pulling my hair out at this point.

Love the theme, hope you can help me with this!

Glad it worked.

1. In ideal situations with no caching plugin or maybe server cache, the counter will synchronize every 3 hours. Caching plugins for example may have a delaying effect in this matter.
If that happens try to clear the cache, or set a smaller cache expiration period (most caching plugins have this option). That way the cache will be cleared and rebuilt and the data will refresh.

2. The icons are not visible for me, tried with Chrome and Firefox. Quite unusual, CSS wise everything seems to be in order from what I can see, the image containing all the icons is also loaded, positions are alright

Hi.

I fixed the issue. So if anyone got this problem, hope you find this useful. 🙂

– Remember to check if your site use cache plugin and hosting also. Deactivate this first.
– Deleting plugins then install again via FTP or in the plugin panel. Remember download the latest plugin on the Theme Package.

Hi Simion,

Wow, replacing the code in case ‘Facebook’ worked like a charm and as you can see in the screenshot below, the updated count is now being displayed.
https://pildat.org/tagdivcounter.png

I just have two more questions regarding this.
1-) First, how to clear the social counter internal cache as it takes sometime to fetch the count likes. What I had to do in my case to reflect the change immediately was to update the Social pages id on the widget settings.
i.e instead of Capital PILDAT, I rewrote it as pildat and so the cache was cleared and new count was fetched successfully.

But my question is what is the proper way to empty the social counter cache?

2-) In the earlier screenshot which you shared, I noticed you are not seeing Facebook, Youtube and Twitter icons in the boxes. Why is that? Can you investigate? If you see my screenshot above, then all icons are visible atleast in my browser. (Using chrome on a Mac OS X).

Hi I’d like to make a cache or ad notification, for example to make a little box show up at the bottom of the page saying something like “This website uses cache and ads”. How can I do this?

problemă rezolvată prin ștergerea cache. The problem was resolved ,I deleted the cache

Friends,

I’ve been facing the same problem. As noted by Amit, the load relieves when the Ajax View Count is disabled, however in our case we used Varnish cache, we ran out of click counts for the posts.

Is there any adjustment for this?

Hi,
Since updating to version 9.1 I have noticed a couple of bugs.

In the theme panel when trying to change the general theme colours or sub footer colours the colour picker is partly hidden as in this example:

https://www.screencast.com/t/W0hRwQRe

Also in the sub footer I have an email address which is not displaying the correct text colour anymore.

Example:

https://www.screencast.com/t/j7ulqKOEyNmT

I have tried applying the text colour again and clearing the cache but nothing seems to work.

Any thoughts on what might be causing these issues?

Regards

Kevin

Hello tamil360newz,

Resave your permalinks from the WordPress General settings, clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for the message!
