Hi,

That would happen in most cases, because of a setting in the Yoast plugin
https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh
Also if used, WP Super Cache should be configured as shown here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Or pages with content that was not added with the tagDiv composer.

Additionally you can test with all plugins disabled, except the theme plugins.

If you already checked and there is still an issue, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information. Also include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hello Emma,

Most likely, this behavior happens due to your additional customizations or untested plugins used by you. I suggest you make a new clean install from scratch via FTP to another sub-domain for testing, without using untested plugins, clear all the caches and purge CDN file and check the results. For a correct theme install, please check the FTP documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello HDT,

Make sure that you have correctly added your Custom Fonts, remove all of the untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues, clear all the caches, purge CDN files if you are using Cloudflare system.

Thanks for your understanding!

Please try this code, enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS section
https://www.screencast.com/t/zvrAa6nzGtVP
It should fix the issue with those elements once entered. Maybe clear your cache as well

.vc-hoverbox-wrapper .vc-hoverbox {
width:100%!important;
}
.vc-hoverbox-inner {
min-height:250px!important;
}

Thanks

Hello,

I have inspected your Read More button and I saw that you have some additional customizations that’s overwrite the default theme style and that’s why when you hover over that button you will bring white color. Please check here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/MtHIhnnDu I suggest you remove all of your additional customizations which can break this effect, check the Theme panel option to the Theme colors and reset all the settings to be the default, clear all the caches and check the results. Notice that, by default, every theme element works as expected, without any problem.

Thanks for the message!

Hey guys,

I keep keeping this issue when trying to edit pages.

Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!

I’ve tried:

  • checking the cache settings
  • checking Yoast settings
  • disabling recently installed plugins
  • starting with a clean page to ensure no other builder syntax was present
  • Nothing’s worked. Any ideas? Quite frustrating this one.

    Thank you for replying Catalin, and for your help.

    It turns out the problem was with the W3 Total Cache plugin that we had installed, it had been caching the old, insecure web links on our site. We’ve emptied the cache and the site is now working fine 🙂

    Hello strawberrybase,

    If you recently switched to HTTPS make sure you have done it properly.
    http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-ssl-and-https-in-wordpress/
    https://css-tricks.com/moving-to-https-on-wordpress/
    https://yoast.com/dev-blog/move-website-https-ssl/
    https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/moving-to-ssl/
    Also, make sure if you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way. Check your plugin’s list and if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, clear all the caches and check the results. Before doing these steps, ensure that you have made a full backup to your database to avoid losing all of your data.

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Of course, yes! Please try to disable all of these, clear all the caches and check the results.

    Hello Mercuriel,

    Indeed, your header ad on mobile seems to be incorrectly displayed but I do not know the cause of it, sorry! I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Try to disable all of these, remove all of the additional customizations if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. Check our demo review on mobile and there you will see that the header and is centered as expected.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Hello chazlight1,

    Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme, installed via FTP way, update the WordPress to the latest version of it, clear all the caches and check the results. Notice that we do not have any bad reports in this case until now. I have tested on my side and the category filter works as expected, without any problems. If the problem is still there, try to make a new clean install from scratch to another subdomain and it the behavior will the same, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further investigate it closer your setup page. Very important is to disable the untested plugins if you are using something like this.

    Hey Newspaper Family,

    Just thought this might be useful to the ones starting a fresh new blog. I’m adding up plugins i’m currently using for my blog, feel free to add some to the list:

    1. Akismet Anti-Spam (to stop spam comments without adding them to your comment approval page)
    2. All In One WP Security (simple wp security for your website)
    3. Contact Form 7 (i have never used it, but yeah it might be handy)
    4. Envato Market (to keep your theme updated with Newspaper directly)
    5. External Links (super seo plugin, automatically prevents any external link from passing juice of your website to another for google ranking)
    6. GTmetrix for WordPress (checks page speed directly from plugin here)
    7. Heartbeat Control (ignore if you are not moderately good with tech. This one removes a lot of load from your cpanel of hosting)
    8. Inline Related Posts (adds beautiful in-line related posts automatically by extracting from tags and categories)
    9. Jetpack by WordPress.com (obvious)
    10. Mashshare Share Buttons (kinda good, especially has ability to add fake number of shares)
    11. OneSignal Push Notifications (a must get app! sends notification to mobile as well desktop users that you have published a post, just get this one)
    12. Regenerate Thumbnails (obvious)
    13. Remove Query Strings From Static Resources (speeding up website)
    14. SumoMe (for beginners, yeah this is super one, their tutorials explain everything)
    15. Table of Contents Plus (adds beautful TOC in your posts automatically using headings in a hierarchy)
    16. WP Smush (for image optimization)
    17. WP Super Cache (supports Cloudfare, one reason i preferred it over w3 total cache)
    18. WP-Optimize (cleans database and makes your hosting cleaner)
    19. Yoast SEO (obvious)

    Apart from that, please do add free SSL certificate by Cloudfare, and setup free CDN by Cloudfare for your website. It boosts speed you will love to see.

    Regards

    Hello @michele-jolie , have you tried using Mobile Plugin provided with the theme? Indeed your page is blank on mobile phones. Apart from that, i assume you are already using

    Apart from that, some basics you should try for your website:

    1. Try installing a demo from theme panel, in your case, you should try Cooking demo- https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_recipes/ . Just have a look. You can find other demos here- https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper .
    2. Go for Free CDN by Cloudfare, that will boost speed of your website a lot and is pretty good.
    3. Add SSL Certificate to your website, it will show users that your website is safe and again, is pretty neat.
    4. Explore post types in theme, they are pretty good and worth exploring.
    5. Try reading how to set up homepage here- https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/ .
    6. Basic plugins must get for WordPress- Akismet-anti spam, External Links, Jetpack, Regenerate thumbnails, WP Smush, Wp-Super Cache and Yoast ofcourse.

    Good luck with blogging. You can check mine here- https://medicforyou.in . Feel free to ask for anything. 🙂

    Autoptimize
    Lazy Load
    Image Size Limit
    Smush
    WP-Optimize

    These all affect images.
    Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

    @TechyChaps
    If deactivating the caching plugin solves the issue, please try and clear the cache in the plugin settings. This is most likely a caching issue, clearing it fully should solve it.
    I could not say what settings you should use with that plugin, try a general recommendation. We have not tested that plugin with the theme, in some cases it caused issues based on user feedback. We recommend WP Super Cache
    https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Most likely you are using some untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Try to disable all of them, clear all the caches and check the results. I saw that you have a lot of js errors which most likely will happen due to your plugins.

    Hello AcarelTV,

    Do you have checked your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Check this section and if the values are not okay try to increase them, clear all the caches and check the results.

    Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

    Hello Chris,

    I have inspected your website and saw that your header ad on mobile seems to work as expected, without any problem, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/6CEaTYgtp7 Try to clear all the caches and check the results. Notice that the theme simply takes the ad code and render it on your frontend. The theme does not have any control to the size of your ad. If you do not like you should change the ad and for this, you should contact the Google Adsense department.

    Thanks for the message!

    Hello,

    Our theme needs the widgets to be placed inside a widget sidebar element. Our theme does not support standard sidebars but sidebars grabbed through a tagdiv composer element. That is why it will not work from the live preview button. Please use the tagdiv composer and the widget sidebar element.

    As for the social icons, please clear cache and reset cdn files.

    Thank you!

    Sir I am also experiencing the same issue and have done all the things you told the gentleman above. My issue is not resolved. I am using wp3 total cache plugin but when I deactivated it the issue got resolved. But I don’t know what is causing the issue to occur in the plugin. Earlier before updating to version 8.6 the issue was not there. Please help me.

    The Theme tested only with WP Super Cache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

    Developers team cannot provide support for untested plugins.
