Hi

I’m using a plugin which by default adds an audio player before the_content(). It’s fine with the default template but when I change it to another single page template from the cloud library it doesn’t show. I’ve also tried to get it to work by adding its shortcode using both Raw HTML and Single External Shortcode elements but still nothing (the shortcode can be used to specify where on the page the player is to feature if you don’t want its default position).

The plugin devs say “Our shortcode will only function whistle running inside The Loop”.

The template I’m using is Magazine Pro. Are there any theme php files that can be our devs can edit? (I’m also having an issue which a special type of video ad which again I think normally uses The Loop).

Thanks

My website is PossibilityPress.org. When I go to Theme Panel > Categories > Category Global Settings > Cloud Library Template > Set a Cloud Library category template for all categories, there is no Urban Explorer Category Template to choose from. Please fix this.

Hi, so, I am a somewhat of a novice, was making a wordpress site years ago and have decided to try again, so i have moderate experience.

When I read this on your instructions regarding ‘child themes’

“Please note that most of the child theme modifications are no longer required as the Cloud Library plugin allows you to create templates for posts, categories, tags, archives, 404 pages, author templates, search templates, etc.
This way your modifications no longer require code modification and are truly update proof.”

It confuses me.

I do not intend on altering the code (for now) and I just want to use the website theme and it’s features but I am confused about this ‘no longer needed child theme’ and then ‘lets help you figure out how to instal a child theme’ right after.

For now, I just want to know what the best way is to install this so that I will not run into unforeseen complications down the road.

What is the process/circumstances of ‘NOT’ using the child theme and updating your theme?
What is the process/circumstances of using the child theme and updating your theme?

I guess if your instructions were a bit more detailed regarding this I would no be so confused right now. Once you start saying ‘no need for child theme’ I guess it would be better to explain why more than just a link that leads to instructions that do not actually tell you anything about that.

Perhaps one day after setting everything up, all the blogs, all the personal edits of theme pages and logos, if I then need to change something in the code THEN I would need the child theme? If so THEN is it possible to instal child theme or is this something I should do ahead of time just in case?

lol, explain it to me like I am 5 years old 🙂

Thanks.

Hello @DerPostillon!

Edit the homepage with the TagDiv Composer (green button) and change the logo from there.

Hello,

Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Also, please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/

Maybe this info helps: After the 12.6.4 update the Cloud library headers on some of my client websites were “broken”, just showing code. Tried all the tipps from the forums, nothing worked. By coincident I suddenly realized, the update for some strange reason deactivated the “tagDiv Cloud Library” plugin. Once reactivated, the headers were fine and back to normal!

Hi @anamaria ,
When the problem happened I tried twice using “autoupdate” (ajax error installing the plugin Composer), then I tried downloading everything through “themeforest” and the “Composer” and “Cloud Library” plugins did not install, it showed an error.
I went back to the previous version.
The next day, I tried again using “autoupdate” and it worked.

site reiaudio.com (working 100%)

Tks =)

Hi,
If you just want to disable the comment count element, then you can do it from the theme panel > https://i.imgur.com/HAsZNY9.png also if you want to edit in the theme files, you can check the wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/common/tdb_loop_2.php
Thank you!

After monitoring my websites, I found that the theme, even when cached, continues to slow down the speed in these two files. I used the “black demo” theme. My concern is that even when I try to minify these two codes, the theme fails in the search button or ends up breaking. Currently, I use Ezoic as a CDN for my site.

42% of the render-blocking time comes from the script loaded from path “/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js” (the Newspaper theme) e 11% comes from the script “/wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/assets/js/js_files_for_front.min.js”.

tagDiv Cloud Library

Hi Calin,

I resorted to installing the plugins manually (tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library) by downloading the new version of the theme from themeforest and then uploading the two plugins via ftp.

The problem is that the moment I try to activate them, the entire server becomes unusable due to excessive CPU load.

By the way, a week ago the same thing happened with the woocommerce plugin and I downgraded it.

The problem with this update with the Newspyper theme is that the moment the two plugins start to be updated, the whole server goes out of control and I have to restart it. The site can’t work and can’t be fixed unless I delete all the files and install the backup files.

Here are the server configuration details

Apache version 2.4.57

MariaDB version 10.11.4

Unfortunately, I’m using the free version of Virtualmin – Open Source Web Hosting Control Panel – on my personal server and I don’t have the option to create additional users and passwords for my hosting accounts.

That’s why I can’t give you access to the file folder.

I hope one of the other users will give you the access you need and the problem will be resolved soon.

Until we figure out exactly what the problem is, I’m sticking with the old version of the theme, with which everything works as it should.

Please keep us posted here in the forum thread so we know how things are going.

I wish you to quickly resolve the situation that has arisen.

Good luck!

Hi,

Please check if the tagdiv plugins are installed and activated, like the cloud library, and standard pack .

Thank you!

Hi,

To add the reading time, you need to have a single post template and add it from tagdiv Composer -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/

Thank you!

Hi dear users,
If you are experience problems with the theme update and you agree to let us investigate the problem, then please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a temporary wp-admin and cPanel access to the website, also make sure that you have a full backup for the website. We’ll check it as soon as possible.

Hello globalonehr, I checked your website and this look’s that the theme plugins are not installed. Please go to Newspaper > plugins and install from there the theme plugins that were before the theme update (this process can also be made manually by updating the them plugin using the versions downloaded from the themeforest package of 12.6.4).

Hi Ned Donev, according to this:
tagDiv Composer
Ajax error
tagDiv Cloud Library
Ajax error

There are some extra modules that are preventing the theme plugins to be automatically installed from our cloud, so in this can the theme plugin can be only manually updated.
Also, there is possible to be something specific like php version or extra plugin that caused problems. We have the update running on more websites from a week and there are no problems – https://i.imgur.com/AYF7gM3.png if you want we can take a closer look to your situation, if you agree, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com, make a full backup for the website and provide temporary wp-admin and cPanel access. We’ll check the problem asap.

Thank you for your understanding!

Ned Donev

I tried to manually update the tagDiv Composer plugin, but my server started running at very high CPU levels. Also my site wouldn’t load any pages.

Just trying to manually update the two plugins – tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library – my site doesn’t work!

I downgraded the theme and now everything is OK!

Current version of the theme that has no problem is Version: 12.6.3

WordPress version: 6.4.3

Please test the updates before offering them for upgrade!!!
