i have added an author template from cloud templates and added it to my user in newspaper theme settings, but when I click on the author button at the bottom of an article I get a 404 page error

Also, how can you exclude users/authors as some are just users for the wp-admin area and not authors
I believe I have the Header from the cloud library. I click on it and I believe I’m using the Header Manager but I can’t change the width to accommodate my menu items.

We have inspected your issue, managed to install the Newspaper 10.2 and plugins accordingly but the work we do on backend does not reflect on front end and that was the issue that you were facing from the beginning. This is happening due to cache, either from cloudflare or someplace. Clear your cache and then try to see if your page restores. We suggest you to not revert until you see the cache cleared. That should fix most of the problems that are happening at the moment.

NOTE: We had the caching turned OFF during prior updates, and also cleared browser caches, which did not fix the issue. OUR website cannot move past the 9.x version in the foreseeable future, and your attempt has cost us time & $$$$. Very disappointing.

I have a question: if I use a cloud template for the posts and add the “modified date”, will this modified date appears on the mobile version (mobile plugin for mobile+amp)?
I’m asking this because Google now indexes the website from their mobile version and not the desktop one so there’s no point adding a modified date if it doesn’t reflect on the mobile version.

For the moment the way that you can load less styles is to use the Newspaper theme without standard pack, but for this you’ll need first to make sure that you’ve replace all the elements from standard pack, I’m not sure that this will reduce the size of woff file, but it surly reduce the style that is imported.

In order to deactivate the “DISCOVER” from sticky header, you’ll need to edit that cloud header with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/LcvZ2Z2.png after that you can use the right click on the element -> https://i.imgur.com/VgRtZ17.png drag end drop in the right bottom corner or just press the delete button after you select the element.

Where do I find the pro default pro news design in the template cloud. I found all other designs, like Romania NEWS pro, but not all default news designs, which was strange.
I tried different cloud templates also. I guess I can try to design one myself.

I just tried to insert ad-code directly into an adBox element in my cloud header. I wanted to switch the code between the different screen-sizes (desktop, tablet, mobile …) and just found out, that the code is always the same. I’m not able to enter different code for the different sizes. Is this another bug?
Auto ads is no option for me, because I’m not only displaying Google Ads so I must have the control over the ad places, to sell them.
does that mean i need to create a new cloud template for homepage?
can i not use the existing page as homepage which i updated with new theme requirements

After reading the replies above and inspecting your website a bit I’ve seen that you have 3 images that return 404 error and those take up to 4.0 seconds of useless loading. You should delete them and re-upload them.
Also for images I will recommend a 800×600 image size or try with some google photos albums embedded into your page. You can setup a cloudflare which is free: https://www.cloudflare.com/
And the main problem still remains, you have waaay too much content on your first page. Average page sizes are 1-5mb and yours is 40mb. The video playback eats all of your resources: https://www.screencast.com/t/hGXv4IRqqdYa

The header manager was add since Newspaper v9.5 -> http://prntscr.com/q4yejo -> https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 so all you need to do is to go in Cloud Templates -> https://i.imgur.com/ume1o5d.png and look for the header template you like -> https://i.imgur.com/KPe9opA.png -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/ after that you can edit it with tagDiv Composer.

If you are using a standard demos, without cloud templates, the posts can inherit the category sidebar -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/ if you are using cloud templates, then you can do a single post template with specific sidebar for each category posts and set it individual on posts.

Maggo explained very well how this plugin is working, the standard pack is for the old customers and for these that want to have and standard demo install, but this will load all the style more that the theme/demo need, so if you create a new website, or you use only cloud elements and flex blocks on your website then you can deactivate the standard pack ( also you can replace the block with flex block ) in this way you’ll achieve a better loading speed, because will be loading only the css style that is need for the elements that you are using.
