Im kind of new to cache and CDN tools. Does it make sense to run Cloudflare, WP Super Cache, & Speed Booster plugin on your website at the same time? What would you suggest I use to improve page speed times? I feel like I can use all three within their strengths. Cloudflare for CDN, WP Super Cache for caching, and Speed Booster to cleanup. Any opinions, best practices that have worked best?
Since I changed the template to Newspaper, randomly, I look that the images of a post doesn’t shown, only load the text, the sidebar and head images and the blank space of the post images. Be given to refresh the page to be loaded.
For example here: http://www.lacasadeel.net/2015/07/santuario-redux-integral-1.html
I have several plugins cache enabled:
WP Super Cache
Better WordPress Minify
DB Cache Reloaded Fix
tagDiv Speed Booster
In addition to:
Varnish system and Cloudflare
Any solution?
I know that you stated you focus on speed, but my site is still extremely slow and I’m hoping you can recommend something. It’s
I’m using your recommended cache plugin and am using CloudFlare but it’s still showing in Alexa as over 5 seconds.
Any help would be appreciated, I really love this theme!
thank you,
Catrina
Forget this. I fixed it. It has an issue with Speed Booster plugin. I was getting an error with All In One SEO pack with Speed Booster. So I commented out that code that checks for compatible plugins with the Speed Booster plugin so it wouldn’t show errors and the Speed Booster was activated and working, but it was causing buddypress pages to do those weird things.
I just deactivated the Speed Booster plugin and now it is back to the black buttons, the way it was before. I am just not going to use that Speed Booster plugin. Seems to load pretty fast with just WP Rocket and Cloudflare just fine with both minify settings on.
Just ignore this thread.

Hello, I created several pages on theme. One is the home, while the rest are single page with defined themes. The problem is that I’m using WP Super Cache and when I publish something, the pages are not updated, or the principal or the other.
For example, published an article about comics, and this does not feature on the homepage or in the comics section or in the comics category.
This is the homepage: http://www.lacasadeel.net/
This is the cómics page: http://www.lacasadeel.net/seccion-comics
And this is the comics category page: http://www.lacasadeel.net/comics
Any solution? Because I can not be updating the pages individually each time I post something… What I would like is that each time you post an entry, the blocks in which they would have to show that entry is updated, it was like working in the above template.
That seems like a problem with js.
Make sure you’re not minigying javascript in your html source (I’m no talking about .js files).
Try turning cloudflare’s js minification off.
Also try turning lazy load off from theme panel.
@Radu when Cloudflare Rocketloader is on,all of the theme ajex stop working, the search don’t work, the Image Animations don’t work..this is the reason i had to hide my search bar on my site and can’t use any ajax as well…
I can be wrong but i think it have to do with the “jquery” that make the site not work well with Cloudflare Rocketloader..
Also only some post template can work with Cloudflare Rocketloader,(e.g style 7,style 8, style 6) they all can’t work with Cloudflare Rocketloader either so it’s something to check in too because using Cloudflare Rocketloader is a must for a good Optimize website…
Hi all,
I do plan to make the theme work with Cloudflare Rocketloader but I cannot promise anything until I see what is the problem.
@stephanwhelan I’ve added lazy load to the box title
@Chris S – I will do it! Each week I’m working a bit on the documentation to make it better.
I found the answer guys in another forum post – http://screencast.com/t/WgoZUWLp
Would be good if that section was named LazyLoad instead of Image Animations 🙂
A secondary question – are you intending on making your JS work with RocketLoader in Cloudflare?
Hi – we’ve just moved to Cloudflare and also use an alternative Caching Plugin (WP Rocket).
I know that Cloudflare Rocketloader has some issues with the theme lazyload and the WP Rocket lazy load is known to work – is there any way to disable the theme lazyload as then I can setup the WP Rocket lazy load to work.
Thanks,
Stephan
It was the weirdest conflict with google tag manager plugin.. I tried disabling all plugins before but probably forgot to empty cache or something and quickly moved on to search issue elsewhere.
I had to change few tracking settings and now it seems to work perfectly with all cloudflare settigs enabled 🙂
Hi,
I have checked you site and did not found smooth scroll error in the console, but you have another js error – http://screencast.com/t/pxtj8Rw6ZI Did you have activated this feature from Theme Panel?
Please check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this error, also disable any js/css minifications and deactivate also cloudflare. Like I said there was an issue with smooth scroll but it was fixed in the latest version. Please make sure that you have updated your theme properly, also you can try to do this via FTP to make sure that all the modified files are overwritten – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thanks!
Hi,
Please deactivate all plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN then see if you still have this issue maybe it is caused by a plugin conflict. Also you can check browser console for errors and try to disable lazy load effect from Theme Panel > Template Settings – http://screencast.com/t/Dz5X96TVljcc
We recommend WP Super Cache plugin to be used with Newspaper theme and use it on default just page cache. Also please note that if you use cloudflare’s rocketloader is know to cause issues when used with the theme as we haven’t tested the theme’s resources using it.
Thanks!
Hi,

Hello,
I have cleared CloudFlare+WP cache but no luck.

Hello,
I have read through all the articles explaining what I’m supposed to be doing with my site. I have refreshed Cloudflare and have regenerated my thumbnails. None of my post images will appear. I know that they are on the site because if you click on the white spot it loads an external page with the media file. Can someone please help me find out how to get my images to appear?
Whenever I do hard refresh(delete cache) on any browser the first image doesn’t show.
At first I thought issue is with cloudflares rocketloader but then I disabled it + disabled cf’s mirrage/polish and deleted cache but it still doesn’t work.
I also tried disabling all plugins and turning them on one by one(starting with visual composer) but it doesn’t work.
2: Clicking exit(X) button on more stories widget also doesn’t work.
What’s wrong? I am out of ideas 🙂
I am currently using WP Rocket and Speed Booster plugin with Cloudflare at the same time and 1 second load time.

That should not cause issues as it simply removes the ? version numbers. Of course if you’re using something like a CDN or cloudflare (no idea never used it) which “requires” versioning, then obviously you would not want to use that.
You might try changing the priority from “10” to something else.
$priority (integer) (optional) Used to specify the order in which the functions associated with a particular action are executed. Lower numbers correspond with earlier execution, and functions with the same priority are executed in the order in which they were added to the filter. Default: 10
So, in your case with your particular setup, you might try changing it to 15 and see if it works.
I’ve not run into any issues with ANY theme using that code, so would be surprised if it breaks the latest Newsmag; unless another plugin is running to ALSO try to remove the “?=123” stuff.
Hi Lucian
I disabled all of the plugins and it was still flagging the one line in the template. I was using cloudflare and it looks like even though I purged everything that it was still hanging on to an old file somewhere.
thanks
Anthony
This usually happens if
a) you don’t have enough memory allocated to WP
b) you’re trying to use a file format not supported by WP media manager
c) trying to use local image thumbnail generation at same time as external tool like Jetpack photon
d) trying to use site through a rewrite service like Cloudflare, etc.
e) bad file naming — like more than one dot, spaces, high ascii characters, missing file extension, etc.
Hi,
Using cloudflare’s rocketloader is know to cause issues when used with the theme however we haven’t tested the theme’s resources using it so I’m not sure. Please also provide your site’s URL so I can inspect it or you can check browser’s console and refer to the error or notifications shown there related to the featured image to find the file.
Please let me know!
Thanks
Featured image on top of the post isn’t displayed when using cloudflares rockedloader.
Which file do I need to ignore with rocketloader for it to work ?
Cheers
Yes, using any CDN or Cloudflare or *any* system not part of your local WordPress or theme install needs to be cleared/refreshed when changing themes.
I had to clear my cloudflare cache, I just switched to wp super cache and wasn’t sure what settings to use. It’s fine now.
