Hi,
Custom sizes you can define yourself are not possible with the tagDiv composer on pages or posts. You can split the row or stretch the rows to predefined sizes, but to set a desired width for a column is not possible.
The widths are calculated automatically in percentages, based on the layout you choose
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Ynx0UlrUlz
The content in sidebar like blocks or other widgets have predefined padding, margins and other design based on those percentages. So if they are changed the result will probably be a broken sidebar or entire page.
This level of flexibility is not yet possible with the composer. As it is further developed maybe such options will be available.
Thanks
No, i mean i’m using JS composer that include on your theme.
Hello royyan,
Sorry but please notice that builder is not tested with the theme and we do not recommend using it, unfortunately! You should use our page builder TD Composer if you want to achieve good theme results.
Thanks for the message!
please just like the demo. is it possible to do that without installing the demo?
all I want is the black version with white text colors and all that the settings without the content pages or tag div composer page build up.
please, how possible is that?
Look for the ID of the categories you want to exclude https://www.wpwhitesecurity.com/wordpress-tutorial/find-wordpress-category-id/. Then in the filter tab of the grids (open with tagdiv composer), where it says “Multiple categories filter:” just put your two categories with a negative sign separated by a comma, e.g. -6, -5 (for more categories: -6, -5, -7 and so on).
I tried to create a new layout using tagdiv composer. But some blocks are behaving oddly.
Problem 1: Please refer the image below. I have added Block 16 and tried to reduce the title and excerpt lengths. But nothing happens in the block.

Problem 2: See image below. Here I have used block 5 and tried to change the block title properties through ‘Style” panel. But nothing seems to happen with this block. But the title change is effective on other blocks.

Hi, Tagdiv composer and visual composer can only be found in page. There are no options to create rows and columns in post. There is no page builder under post. Is it suppose to be like that or there is something wrong with my installation?
Thanks
Hello tagdiv
I just created a CTA on my website homepage using wp bakery visual composer. But, it show only on homepage. I want this CTA to appear in the sidebar widget. Is it possible? Can I install this CTA on the sidebar widget?
The Big Grids in the TagDiv Composer look fantastic on desktop sites but they display weirdly on mobile phones. E.g. BigGrid 1 the left most square displays and the middle two squares are mostly off screen and you don’t see the right most squares at all.
On the other hand the Block displays display fine on both mobile and desktop but they don’t look as good as the Big Grids on the desktop. Is there any trick to getting the Big Grids to display on mobile phones?
Thanks,
Janelle
Hi, I am still using Newspaper V.8.7.2 and since yesterday haven’t been able to publish post or update a post. If I disable the tagDiv Composer plugin, everything works fine but when I enable the plugin the PUBLISH post button stops working.
I am using WP version 4.9.6
I get the following error every time I try to use TD Composer:
This page isn’t working
(“my site name appears here”) didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
I have followed all the recommendations for configuring WP and PHP provided in the documentation and, I have green lights on the system status within Newspaper. I have also tried using several browsers to do this.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the theme and the plugin and have installed the plugin from the Newspaper plugin tab as well as the zip file provided and nothing seems to work.
I am using WP version 4.9.6
When I edit a page with tagDiv Composer, it show up an editor with message “Welcome to tagDiv Composer” and Add Element button on the left. But on the right the spinner is spinning and not stop.
When I look at Chrome inspector console, I saw 2 errors;
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 () -> https://www.mysite.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/font-newspaper.css?ver=8.8.1
and
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 () -> https://www.mysite.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/admin-style.css?ver=1.0.0
Please advise, many thanks.
Hi,
Is there a map element on the page builder or a map plugin that has been tested with TD composer that you would recommend?
Thanks,
Hi,
I was wondering if there’s a way to input shortcodes from other plugins into the page composer?
For example, I use the plugin EventOn for our events and would like to continue using it. It works fine with the old page builder but I’m curious if there’s a way to put it in with the new tagdiv composer? This would be very helpful as I like the page layout options on your composer better but want to use the functionality of EventOn.
Appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Editors will have access to the post settings. They have access to the composer as well, and can create pages. You can see a test I made with an editor level user
– https://www.screencast.com/t/aPHTYfCuy4zQ
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WH2D0FiuiRH3
– https://www.screencast.com/t/UlqA3YLJ
Only contributors and subscribers would not have access to the post settings. If you have editor level users that are not seeing the post settings, then there were modifications made to the user role capabilities by some action. Try to create a test editor role user, check with that.
Hi,
Most of the demos have a theme to them, like for example business or sports. All the demos use the same theme elements, what makes them different from each other is the custom design and theme panel settings. As soon as a demo is imported, the demo theme panel settings will be imported along with the custom design.
It would be up to you to decide which demo would be the proper one for you, at any time you can uninstall it and install a different one if needed.
The tagDiv composer is used to build all demos, so the same elements are available regardless of demo used.
Thanks
Hello,
You will have to edit the page in the tagdiv composer and remove the element from the page. Please read this guide on how to use the page builder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thank you!
@inje We are trying to identify how exactly you used Greek language characters leading to the problem, what were the exact steps you took before the problem began to appear.
Let’s continue the investigation by email. If we succeed in identifying the problem we will try to fix it.
@freeesmaster Do you also use language specific characters in that raw HTML element and the same problem is happening? What exactly are you entering in the HTML before the problem happens? Does it happens at all times and with all tagDiv composer elements?
Hi,
Try editing the page with Visual composer, I believe that is what you used to create it. Select another icon, see how they look. Maybe those are not available anymore for some reason. What icons are you using? I will try them on my end.
Thanks
Hi,
In what browser does that happen? As long as the composer is active there should be no code displayed in the pages.
I tested your website in Chrome, Firefox and IE, no problem found
– http://prntscr.com/jv7f45
Could be browser caching to blame, try to force refresh the page in that browser (usually Ctrl+Shift+R) or clear it’s cache in the settings. The page should look the same in all browsers.
Thanks
The problem with the tagdiv composer is that it won’t accept any non-latin characters. What that means?
If you are using Greek / Russian text in elements created with the composer, it will throw lot’s of errors and you can’t do anything about it.
Uncaught DOMException: Failed to execute 'btoa' on 'Window': The string to be encoded contains characters outside of the Latin1 range
My question to tagdiv: Are you planning to fix this issue? Should we just switch to JS Composer?
Thank you
Not possible to send admin details
I switched to Visual Composer and everything is good now
I think TD composer is still a beta product
You did not mention single product pages until now. You cannot use the tagdiv composer on single products. Only on a standard page where you would insert woocommerce shortcodes.
You can select separate sidebars for each individual product when creating or editing it: https://www.screencast.com/t/qNOmxFiqp You cannot use the tagdiv composer on single product pages. You were not specific enough in our request, that is why my answers were more general as I had no idea exactly what woocommerce template you wanted changed.
Thanks
