I have recreated my home page from scratch using TD Composer. It saved Ok, but when I now open it to edit, I am getting the following error:
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
Help would be much appreciated
Hi I have just updated to Newspaper 8.5.1 and am using Safari 11.0.2. When I edit a page in TD Composer and go to add e.g. a row, the element panel is not working properly, and I am not seeing the correct options – e.g. I cannot select the columns. I took a screen shot but cannot work out how to upload.
The problem does not appear if I use Chrome browser.
Ok, I changed the file php.ini, wp-config.php, .htaccess in php 5.5.38 and in php 7.1.8 and there is no solution. The problem is not in this scope. I am sysadmin of my servers and it is clear… that these problems do not have to do with server-side issues. The problem is in the td-composer itself.
Hello,
Please do not use both page builders at the same time. Do not keep both builders active at the same time. Only install td composer or wpbakery. not both.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately category pages cannot be stretched as they cannot be edited with the tagdiv composer. Sorry. We have not encountered any page builder that can edit category pages.
Thanks
Hi,
Sidebars on pages can be set by splitting the row as you want and inserting content in the resulting sidebar column, like in this example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4HSvGmfUx
Or use a widget sidebar element in the column
– https://www.screencast.com/t/fmLfKyJwoTE
Pages can be built in any way you want using the available options. If you want to split the row in 4 columns, one of them has to be the sidebar. You cannot set a sidebar differently
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Sidebars on pages can be sticky as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
Thanks
Found / Solved the problem – once I copy and PUBLISH the page the editing with tagDiv Composer works – on most other themes I have used this is not a problem – tho while they all do let me edit – none let me use ‘Preview’ when I elect to use it – tagDiv and Newspaper seem to replicate the problem with Preview – so the issue is likely not to be Duplicate Post but an issue with UnderConstruction as in Preview and in tagDiv I am taken out of my logged in status and shown the redirect….
Thank you for trying – hopefully this will help someone else….

Since I don’t want both lazy loading and zooming effect front page. I have already disabled lazy loading and set fade & scale using this guide https://www.screencast.com/t/Mg9EEOfkvDUu
If you disable them both only one them will work, separately disabling just 1 of them, it works.
Also I have no other plugins but TagDiv Composer installed.
I would appreciate a lot if you gave me a css or java script code of either zooming effect or lazy loading to disable one them manually. Because both disabled they don’t work, only 1 of them works.
Hi,
I know how to stretch the page using composer by editing the row. However, the category pages that you go to afterwards resort back to the original width. I can’t see how I can change it in the settings so that every page is stretched to 1200pixels (or 1400, whichever we prefer when we can see it).
Thanks,
Chris
I was probably not clear….
My site uses the UnderConstruction plugin so that I can work behind the old HTML site.
Your Homepage-loop is in ‘Pages’
I use Duplicate Post (and have for years to create a copy of the page I wish to update so that I can go back to the original if I have to.
UnderConstruction – allows only signed in users to see the WordPress site and work on it.
How do I create a copy to edit with tagDiv Composer so that I don’t lose the original demo page?
Hi,
1. I see you have installed the black theme demo. Note that the demos consist of custom design as well. A custom stylesheet will be imported, when there is no theme panel option to be used.
The default background can be set like this
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/
But the demo uses custom design instead of the default background. The general color is defined in the demo stylesheet
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gbHuYuMuSW
So you could change it there if that is what you need.
2. Please check the elements present on the page. Edit the page with the tagDiv composer and inspect it. The page will not display extra elements, only what is placed in it.
Also I see there are some thumbnail issues, please regenerate the thumbnails
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Thanks
Hi,
I don’t quite understand what you are doing, what are you copying. The post loop you are referring to would be the Latest articles section, this will be displayed in the bottom of the page when the required template is selected for the page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CRv3qNt270
So simply select this page template for the pages you wish, new pages or previously created. Then update the page and the post loop will appear.
The demos are created with tagDiv composer. The theme does not have any Under construction feature, that could be added by a plugin you have.
Please correct me if I misunderstand the issue.
Thanks
Hi,
It would be best to try and identify what is causing the issue, that would be better then fixing it by composer modifications.
The composer panel could be affected by a plugin, please try to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and check if this has any effect. In some cases this can be caused by browser extensions as well, try disabling them or make a test in a different browser.
Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi bro, but in other instance of my network without your theme visual composer is working good, pls review again your theme, visual composer and multisite instance, because i need this clear and working urgent
Tnks a lot
Stay alert
Hello samjames,
Most likely this plugin has not been correctly installed. Try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest theme method in this case. Also, for more information about our TD Composer, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ Notice that plugin has been tested with the theme and should be installed as expected with our items. Please try again with more carefully.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello chrizzim,
Unfortunately, the Visual Composer has not been tested with post pages and that’s why we do not recommend to use it for that kind of pages, sorry! Try to use the theme only with
Thanks for your understanding!
Installed Newspaper and the Demo with all settings. I usually begin by finding a homepage that I like and adjusting it.
When I use the plugin Duplicate Post and copy Homepage-loop to a new draft and rename it – I see the above error (Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!) and the page that shows up is my ‘Under Construction’ page (as if I weren’t signed in to the Dashboard) instead of the Homepage-loop I do have tagDiv on the left side of it when I click to edit with that. This was your demo page – am I wrong to assume It was built with tagDiv Composer?
Yoast is not installed on this site – as it is just being built – or I would like to build it – neither is Super Cache.
Help….. Thank you!
Hello, does anyone know how to change the width of the panel without changing the css file? Is there any setting for it? The problem is that some fields are not seen at all. Thank u.
Hello, I have installed the new update for newspaper8.5 When I try to install the plugin tagDiv Composer. This is the message,I get.Download failed. Forbidden Suggestions please.
[SOLVED] ok solved, after reading the documentary, that said that the theme will set the site to “blog” by default and I should create a dedicated homepage by hand.
Once getting used to the TD composer it’s pretty easy to click everything together. Great theme.
Since I don’t want lazy loading and zooming effect front page. I have already disabled lazy loading and set fade & scale using this guide https://www.screencast.com/t/Mg9EEOfkvDUu
If you disable them both only one them will work, separately disabling just 1 of them, it works.

I think maybe there is bug that is causing this. I would appreciate a lot if you gave me a css code of either zooming effect or lazy loading do disable them manually. Because both disabled they don’t work, only 1 of them works.
Hi,
The mobile can either be active as a whole, it cannot be activated only for some elements. This plugin is useful if you wish to display a different and simpler version of the website.
It is not required to have it active, when inactive the same content from desktop will be displayed (default responsive version).
As of the previous theme update an option was introduced in the composer, you can now choose to hide rows or certain elements on mobile for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hgo09L4awn
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2ps0eI6vx
That would be a solution to remove the slider on mobile. The iframes could be modified with code maybe, if you could provide an example it would be helpful.
The footer will be the same as on desktop however, I could not say how you could make changes to it. Maybe that would be possible with custom code as well, depending on what you want to do.
Thanks
Hello Syams,
Unfortunately, the TD Composer has been designed to be used only for pages and not for post pages, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
