@newsguy @iisnet mak sure you’re using latest version of Visual Composer included in theme’s path, V 4.11.2: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and test again.
@RachelG when you’re using the Envato Toolkit to update the theme you will also get latest version of Visual Composer but will not become active until you activate it. Deactivate and delete the old version of VC, clear all caches then install new plugin’s version from Plugins panel: http://screencast.com/t/S7Jd4CGMi

Please ensure that you have correctly installed the theme. Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, the latest version of the Visual Composer, otherwise, please try to do it and check after the results.

The code you are getting is part of visual composer. They are visual composer shortcodes. You most likely have the plugin disabled. Please enable the visual composer plugin.

I also have the problem with the visual composer…
Since the last update Version 6.7.1 I have a problem with the visual composer. The Visual composer isn’t activated anymore. I’d try everything is written in the documentation and this support forum but it doesn’t work.
The versions are 6.7.1 of the theme and version 4.11.2 of visual composer. I installed the visual composer new for 10 times, but no changes.

But now these functions dont works:
1. Visual Composer dont load in my page editor.
2. The site dont displays the arrow to up the page.
3. The post count views in admin area dont works more.

Your patience with us is appreciated. Uploaded new newspaper Theme, uploaded new composer and all is working again.

Nevermind. It needed to be js_composer. I got everything fixed and working again. That was a close one!
Some things are not working right.
The home is changed, and when I walk into a class and I’m changing pages is showing the same posts.
Example:
http://www.goretemoura.com/estudos/
It is the same as:
http://www.goretemoura.com/estudos/page/2/
And so on, all categories are presenting this failure.
Remembering that I’ve done the update “js_composer”, and yet continued to show this bug.
Tried to edit the homepage….but the Visual Composer wouldn’t work. So I did what the instructions were on how to update it…..but I can’t update through WordPress. Its to big and has to be FTPed. Problem is….I think I screwed up and deleted all files when I probably shouldn’t have. Now I am unsure as to what the name of the plugin folder should be to upload it via FTP. Please let me know what the name of the folder should be so I can get the updated plugin uploaded via FTP and I can fix the site.

Same problem here. I updated to WP 4.5 and the Visual Composer stopped working. Looks like I need to update WP Bakery, BUT:
I use the Envato Toolkit so my client can update the Newspaper theme from within WordPress dashboard. The instructions for the Visual Composer update only pertain to when you manually download the latest version of the Newspaper theme. Is there a more automatic way to do this? I want my client to be able to do routine WordPress updates herself, but not if the site is going to stop working until she goes through a convoluted process related to Newspaper and Visual Composer.
I have the latest WordPress upgrade, 6.7.1 of the theme and version 4.11.2 of visual composer. I have no plugins because this is a local installation I use for testing purposes. Yet block 18 is now broken. And it doesn’t happen if I install the previous version of VC. Of course when I install the previous version of VC, all I see is circle turning!

Please notice that this type of demo is custom made and if you want to achieve the same layout you have to make more additional customizations. You have to add the image in ROW from Visual Composer and then you have to turn on the stretch row, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/tIJtKvly50Hm

Please ensure that you do not have any untested plugin which interact with the theme and Visual Composer to create this issue. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. After these changes, if your problem is still there and if you need more assistance in this regard, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so I can further inspect your setup page. Also, please provide the link of this topic so we can know who you are and what the issue is.

These scripts seems to be related with a ads network and could be called by some as-code that you added in theme’s ad-spots. Also they could be called by a plugin which manage ads, if you’re using such a plugin.
Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, check your all code added in ad-spots, clear all caches and test again.
If you still can’t manage to solve this provide your site url so I can have a closer look.
