How can I completely disable the author-box only for a selective author, i.e., while I want to show author-box generally but want to disable display of author-box of a selective author on all his posts. Let us the selective author is “xyz”.
I understand that it can be done using Custom CSS “display:none” command, but what exactly to use for the author “xyz”?
I decided to put the plugin Social Login on both the login and register tabs.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_wGP-lpxx5QdGV6dENDdGRfSWs/view?usp=sharing
I did what Lucian said to resize the box and “submit” button through the custom css. It worked when I only had the plugin on the login page but stopped responding when I put it in the register tab.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_wGP-lpxx5QdnpLejFUMmxlV1U/view?usp=sharing
Also, the page seems to load slower when I had the plugin in the “login/join” popup widget. Can you check to make sure I did the coding right?
Hi Bogdan!
Thanx for the reply. I know a little bit of coding. Wouldnd it be possible to put some coding in the custom css box?

Getting this when I try to install this on my WordPress:
Installing Theme from uploaded file: themeforest-9512331-newsmag-news-magazine-newspaper (1).zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.
How do I fix this?
Hello, plz help me to make my blog layout boxed. The size is 750 px. And then, the layout is one column.
Please guide me! thanks.
Hi! I have two questions:
1) I want to delete that fuzzy line below the header that appears on every page. Is there Custom CSS I can add to get rid of it?
2) I want to add a menu of subcategories to a page I’ve designed. What’s the easiest way to do that? I like the way it looks in the pages that are automatically generated by the theme.
Hello robske,
It is possible but not from the theme settings. You can do it with a custom CSS code for styling the bullet list: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_list.asp
You have to find a graphic you wish to use in the list and add this css code in your theme panel:
.td-post-content ul {
list-style-image: url(enter url here);
}
Enter the image URL in the parenthesis
I hope this helps
Thank you!
Hi
The css I provided above will be applied only on pages with id 155 and 383. I used those classes for a more specific target. For example if you have on page with id 156 an element with classes: .container-fluid .wpb_wrapper p a img the above css won’t affect it.
Thanks!
I had to go in each category and set it too default for the css code to take effect..now it’s all good thanks..
But the other issue with the prev-next title color not taking a effect…
CATEGORY TEMPLATE where you add a header i want mine hide…right now i’m using style 6 but i reather don’t use any of them just remove them all from all my CATEGORY PAGES..hope this help you understand what i mean…
That css code not working my prev-next title not change color..
Hello Steven,
Please be more specific with the first question because we’re all scratching our heads trying to figure out what to do.
For the second part, try this css:
.page-nav-post a{
color: #4274c3
}
Thank you!
Hi
You can modify the image size for mobile devices usng custom css in theme panel > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/cBB0QfDs – http://screencast.com/t/Qf8MewSQh
@media (max-width: 767px){
.page-id-155 .container-fluid .wpb_wrapper p a img, .page-id-383 .container-fluid .wpb_wrapper p a img, .page-id-383 .container-fluid .wpb_wrapper p img {
width: 230px;
height: 180px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
display: block;
}
}
You can modify the width and height as you like. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!
Hi,
You have this issue because you use an old version of the theme and it will display only http videos – http://screencast.com/t/yTSWwQHf
Here is how the code looks on version 6 of the theme – http://screencast.com/t/lO2SZ8nJu3 so I suggest to upgrade to version 6 – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Please note that the old customization to the theme file and css code or child theme(you will have to update als the child theme) will not work, you will have to adjust them for the new version as the code was rewritten for Newspaper 6, practically it is a new theme.
Thanks!
Hi,
I have checked again your articles and the css is applied on tablets – http://screencast.com/t/iuU1L9DTG Do you want this only for this screen size? If not please check your css and close the accolade – http://screencast.com/t/HXLrzb0p
Thanks!
Hi
You can add the css in theme panel > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/FrwuEX0wOpOF or you can edit the style.css file and add the modification there: http://screencast.com/t/Lf7jXjTjsNw
Thanks!
Hello Derek,
You seem to be using a small size picture on your site. That is why it is blurry. CSS stretches images to fit the screen.
demo: http://screencast.com/t/xKnV1cg8
your site: http://screencast.com/t/7dOVY1xczt
Use a bigger picture size and things will be as clear as daylight. Make sure when you upload your images in ‘ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS’ you select the full size of your image: http://screencast.com/t/AMkhU1LERDLK
Thank you!
Hi
This can be caused due to a small image which is zoomed out by css on mobile devices. You could try a plugin like WP Retina 2x: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-retina-2x/ to improve the images quality on mobile devices, or if this doesn’t work as expected try a bigger size image and see how it works.
Let me know ho it goes and if the problem persist please provide your site so I can inspect this closer.
Thanks!
I like to hide the category title from all over my site can i get a css code please…
Same issue on my site as what the OP had.
Cleared all CSS, disabled all plugins except VC and still not working. Unable to edit any blocks.
Elements within this list are deprecated and are no longer supported in newer versions of Visual Composer.
I have updated the theme to version 6.5. I have created a Newspaper-child folder and installed the demo css file from the code folder. I then placed customized styles into the theme folder, cleared all caches, etc. But I’m having the same problem. Only the customized header works. The other styles have no effect.
refer to: charliecholla.com (content tested with styles)
stylesheet: http://www.charliecholla.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/style.css?ver=6.1c

Hi zankkasz.
you can use Wp Rocket, its better than ABove the fold. On Wp rocket advanced options you can defer any js or css to get faster loads and better numbers on google speed
Hi
@soumitmis Sorry for the inconvenience created.
The solution I provided above it’s tested and works just fine, let me give you an example on my side: http://screencast.com/t/GjP1273uy – http://screencast.com/t/o3lJf27q As can be seen here the layout isn’t affected by the modification made in plugin’s file. Here is the plugins code that I used: http://pastebin.com/Jjb2sq3v
If this doesn’t work please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your site’s login details as we need to inspect this closer.
A few notification about Speed Booster plugin functionality:
The way Speed Booster improves site’s page speed it’s by moving some css and js resources, which usually are loaded in header, to the footer, such that the browser can loads the content faster. Please note that the plugin was intended for advanced user, it requires modifications on the code to add new resources (js and css) which are moved to the bottom of the page and conflicts may appear because some plugins may cause issues when you try to move their resources at the page bottom. To avoid conflicts we decided to keep the Speed Booster active only for a limited number of plugins, which are tested and works fine even if their resources are moved at page bottom. Checking a plugin’s behavior when Speed Booster is active can be done by adding it on allowed plugins list: http://screencast.com/t/dCMffJFq
@Novaque I have checked your site with: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fshowtopmodel.ru%2F&tab=desktop – http://screencast.com/t/h2pd7wKrhNh and there aren’t any reports regarding js/css resources. You still can improve your page speed by setting the leverage browser cache also optimizing images as it’s indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thanks!
Hi,
Instead of editing the code, it more easily to change to footer style 3 and add your own block for 2 and 3 columns – http://screencast.com/t/wADSY3kvfO9 – http://screencast.com/t/9SQJtPSUkcuy
Result – http://screencast.com/t/CsS5iVatT
Thanks!
ok Thanks a lot
It’s more clear for me how to use customCss now
Thanks
Hi,
You can do this via custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css to reduce the margin and padding for module 8 – http://screencast.com/t/74JEKl0gn7Vr
.home .td_block_9 .td_module_8 {
margin-bottom: 10px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
}
This css is applying only for your homepage, if you want to have that css for all pages where you use block 9 just remove .home class.
Thanks!
