Hello !

It looks like you are using a plugin for read more option. Unfortunately that is affecting the post content which I’ve taken a look to try and edit it with css but that won’t help.

You can try this css code: .td-post-template-1 .td-featured-image-rec {
margin-bottom: -83px;
}

The code must be inserted here: https://www.screencast.com/t/J1Nxw5s5

Let us know the result !

Hi there, would you please help me figure out how to enable comments on this website? We took on management of this site a few months ago and previously comments have been disabled but we would like them re-enabled. We believe we have looked everywhere but for some reason cannot get them to display.

https://shalemag.wordkeeper.net/the-pandemics-impact-on-employer-provided-medical-plans/

We have enabled comments at the system level.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/i23kykxb8lm5jbl/system-comments.jpg?dl=0

We have removed any plugins that disable comments.

We have removed Any evidence that we could find in the CSS that was removing comments.

We have also enabled comments on individual pages.

Please help.

Do you need admin access?

Hello!

Yes, you are right. This plugin is an untested one with our theme, but in this documentation it was a recommendation for how you can use preload fonts option.
Our theme inserts a query string in the CSS (&ver=10.3.9.1), but this shouldn’t be an issue for it. It is possible to remove it if you want, but this can be found in many files.
You can find out that you can do the preload manually also, check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/what-is-this-archive/

Thank you!

Hi, Bettina!

I thought TagDiv team did not support the use of WPRocket, as it is implied in the image you annexed in the answer. Correct me if I am wrong, please.

Anyway, I do not use it (using another plugin at the moment), and already enabled the preload fonts.. no result (better, the PageSpeed suggestion only shows when I enable the “preload fonts option”).

It seems that the Newspaper theme inserts a query string in the CSS (&ver=10.3.9.1). And, because of that, PageSpeed don’t recognize the display=swap query. Could that be the issue? If yes, there is a way to fix this?

Bettina

Hello!

1) Disable the “SHOW CATEGORIES TAGS” by accessing Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Post settings -> Post and custom post types.
2) Please try to add this CSS code in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile theme -> Custom CSS:

.td-footer-logo amp-img {
width: 189px !important;
height: auto !important;
}

Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

Hello,

I have 2 quick questions and solutions in the mobile AMP version template.

1.) How to hide this category list as shown here https://prnt.sc/wn6xcm ?
2.) Why the uploaded logo bloated away, I am upload a dimension of 189×44 but it now becomes 600×400. Can we customize the CSS of this image logo to make it the same size as the uploaded logo dimension? If so what is the exact CSS styling…

Logo size uploaded (189×44): https://prnt.sc/wn6xz0
Bloated size to 600×400: https://prnt.sc/wn6yxo

Thanks

Hello !

Our developers are still working on making the CPT tagDiv Composer compatible so you will be able to fully edit it using composer.

As for your fix, please try this css code: .td-post-date{
display:none;
}

The code must be inserted here: https://www.screencast.com/t/J1Nxw5s5

Let us know the result !

Thank you !

My Google Pagespeed report shows an error about the fonts: “Ensure Text Remains Visible During Webfont Load”

I tried to reach one of the admins of my site, and he pointe to me that:

2. There seems to have some invalid characters in your Google Fonts embed: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato%3A400%2C400italic%2C600%2C600italic%7COswald%3A400%2C400italic%2C600%2C600italic%7CLato%3A400%2C700%2C500%7COswald%3A400%2C500%2C600&display=swap&ver=10.3.9.1.

Also, your theme has already tried to fix it by adding display=swap. However, since the URL has invalid characters, it’s not working. I would suggest you contact the theme developer. Here is the correct URL: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato%3A400%2C400italic%2C600%2C600italic%7COswald%3A400%2C400italic%2C600%2C600italic%7CLato%3A400%2C700%2C500%7COswald%3A400%2C500%2C600&display=swap

Can we do something about it? Thanks in advance!

Hello,

If you want to use WP Bakery, then you can choose a Standard Post Template => https://www.screencast.com/t/VmrJKq0IxjX ,
or if want to use a Single Post Template, please provide a link from your website, and I try to help you with a custom CSS.

Please notice that we strongly recommend using only one of those plugins with our theme (WP Bakery or tagDiv Cloud Library, but not both).

Thank you!

You should add a function to the theme where unused CSS, codes, features are removed while loading the site. This will improve the speed of the theme and also remove resource usage. (We are already using VPS.)

Since a couple of months I am having issues with my newspaper installation. At least there are no obvious things going wrong and users have no problems to open the site but every day I`m getting an email by WordPress about some technical issues:

Hello,

Usually, this problem appears only when you are using a pro demo made with tagDiv Cloud Library, we indicate to use only one of them with our theme, WP Bakery or Cloud Library.
If you want to keep both I can try to help you with this problem with a custom CSS, this isn’t the best practice, but it can work for the moment. For this please provide a link to your website.

Thank you!

Vlad S

Hello !

Hello,

Please check the CSS of the header, and see if have set the padding => https://www.screencast.com/t/InMMU97aN or height => https://www.screencast.com/t/JEWvJfsi.

If you don’t resolve the problem, please provide a link to your website.

Please try not to reply multiple times in your own topic, this will only delay the response from us because it will move the topic to the back of the line. We always answer from oldest to newest.

Thank you!

Anamaria

Hi,

I just asked my teammate from email and he found the email in spam. Our team will take a look and will answer you as soon as possible.
We answer the topics from Latest to Newest, Monday – Friday from 08:00AM to 05:00PM GMT+2.

For removing the space you need to use tagDiv Composer, to edit the Homepage, select the elements from footer and see if in CSS you have set the padding/margin-bottom or select the row to see if you have set space, also you can set margin-bottom to 0 => https://www.screencast.com/t/5O7Dns5Ks

Hope this helps you!

Thank you!

I fixed it by adding custom css

.tdb-block-menu:hover {
background-color: #003863;
}
.tdb-menu-item:hover {
background-color: rgba(170,170,170,0.22);
}

Now when I hover over the menu only the item I’m hovering over is selected. When the mouse leaves the menu selection jumps back again to just the active item.

.widget.td_block_template_14 .td-block-title a,.widget.td_block_template_14 .td-block-title span{

text-align: center;
}

Add this code in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Custom code -> Custom CSS.

Hi,
To display the amp views you need to comment a line of code wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/single.php -> https://i.imgur.com/BB9YSdk.png -> https://i.imgur.com/5UW52Js.png this will display the count but it will not work as on desktop because the normal JavaScript is not allow.
For author image you need to add this custom code line https://i.imgur.com/TObfuCc.png on this path wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/single.php the code can be get from here , also you’ll need some custom css https://i.imgur.com/dNQaFvC.png
Hope this will work.
Thank you!
