You could use some CSS to remove the option to click on category labels in modules. If you want it for a specific block like this one – http://prntscr.com/n6qixz
First set a class to the block, for example – http://prntscr.com/n6qj7x
Then use a CSS like this

.myclass .td-post-category {
pointer-events: none;
}

Then the category tag in that specific block will not be clickable anymore, you could use this solution.

The category tag displayed in modules is the primary category, only one category is displayed there, you can choose which one it will be.
In that screenshot you mention a text near the date, that is supposed to appear in the post page? it would have to be dynamic for each post I believe, not the same text for each post, so adding text column or text element in the cloud template would not be a way to do it unless making multiple templates each with it’s own text.

Hi Calin,

thanks for taking a look for me! I checked Theme panel>Custom code>Custom css and there is no custom css there.

I then tried out the custom css you wrote me

.td-container h1, .td-container h2, .td-container p {
color: #111111;
}

but still p,h1,h2 remain #001447 on pages and posts. Also p, h1 and h2 have predefined font styles and font sizes I can’t change via Theme Panel.

Is there a way to bring everything back to the original default settings oder to delete all changes that were made? What would be the easiest / smartest solution to solve this issue?

Thanks for your time!

Hi,

Is look like you have set the dark blue color for h1, h2 and p https://www.screencast.com/t/8rIuhD6u please check if you have the custom css in Theme panel>Custom code>Custom css color: #001447
If you want to use a custom css to change the color in black you can try this custom css
.td-container h1, .td-container h2, .td-container p {
color: #111111;
}

Thank you!

Hello.

Thank you, the custom CSS works, but I got “i” in the line – Don’t use adjoining classes. Is it all right?

Are the functionality of TagDiv Composer and pages impacted when I set a featured image for the page and save it with WordPress editor?

Thank you,
Ingrid

Hi,

EWWW image optimiser is not compatible with AMP/the mobile theme.
Is there an alternative to optimise/serve better scaled images?
I’m currently scoring a 0 on that on GTMetrix.

The following images are resized in HTML or CSS. Serving scaled images could save 632.9KiB (99% reduction).

Also looking for a way to incorporate my Facebook pixel on the site without it breaking the AMP.

Thanks

Hi, I created a custom category page, which works well on the desktop version.
I have the mobile theme plugin active, but on this custom category page I get a lot of errors:

wp_booster error:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: td_css_res_compiler is not set.

wp_booster error:
Missing parameter: ‘file’

Fatal error

Uncaught Error: Class ‘td_css_res_compiler’ not found in …\wp-content\plugins\td-composer\includes\shortcodes\tdc_zone.php:185
Stack trace:
#0 …\wp-content\plugins\td-composer\includes\tdc_composer_block.php(133): tdc_zone->get_custom_css()

Any idea what I can do to fix this?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes you can decrease the size between title and block using the css tool from title and set the margin bottom 0 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Cc32slBKHaQa if this is not enough you can set the margin bottom with “-” -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cZZHVzHw71

Hope this will help you!
Thanks.

Hello,

I used to have a not-so-great free theme for years and switched Newspaper theme now. Looks really good so far, but I have issues with the font and my text colors.

E.g. if I try to change the text color via Theme Panel, it doesn’t work. The changes are ignored.

With the old theme I might have changed fonts and colors years ago in style.css, so far I can remember correctly. The issue only occurs with my generel text font and h1 and h2, which probably were the things I had changed years ago. H3, H4 and so on all perfectly react to my changes in Theme Panel.

I deleted the old theme, but still now changes. Also deleted a Cache Plugin. Same.

It seems like the old settings are in my wordpress sites ‘DNA’ now and I can’t get them out. Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

You can remove those elements using a custom css ->https://www.screencast.com/t/O3XM2rH7PC
.td-mobile-footer-wrap .td-footer-wrap .td-footer-logo,
.td-mobile-footer-wrap .td-footer-wrap .td-footer-description,
.td-mobile-footer-wrap .td-footer-wrap .td-footer-social .block-title
{
display: none;
}

Set the code in Newspaper>theme panel>Mobile theme>Custom code> Css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xOPDlwCO4X

In the most cases the above issue that you have when you try to validate an amp post/page is caused by a plugin, please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you!

Hi,

I check the demo that you are using and there is a problem of design when you set the search icon in top bar, in order to fix the search position please use this custom css
https://www.screencast.com/t/IzcdYcSgauG
.td-law-firm.tdm-menu-active-style2 .tdm-header-style-3 #td-header-search-button .td-icon-search {
line-height: 24px;
}

When you are search for “and” in search the page appear without image because those do not have set a feature image, and the feature image can be set only from backed page not with TagDiv Composer, that is way when you edit the page you’ll get that warning because you save the page with WordPress editor not tagDiv Composer.

Thank you for your understanding!

I want to disable the fade in animation for my header. Thus I wonder what is the recommended way to do it. I can certainly disable it using custom CSS, but that seems a bit “hacky” to me given that fade in animations are also disabled for some demo sites (e.g. https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_fast/).

Hi,

I have checked your website and it seems that you have some padding-top applied to your body. Use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Cusotm CSS area.

body{
padding:0!important;
}

Thank you!

Hi,

You can edit the page with tagDiv Composer and set some margin, padding and background color on those elements or you can use this custom css that will apply only on this page -> https://www.screencast.com/t/TT4uLMwI
.page-id-2358 .dd_post_share {
margin-bottom: 0;
background-color: #222222;
}
.page-id-2358 .td-main-page-wrap {
padding-top: 0;
}

Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, it is possible if you will use such a custom CSS code for that. Use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Cusotm CSS area.

#td-top-search{
display:none;
}

Thank you!

Thank you for your quick reply.

I’m very bad ad technical field, please guide me deeply:
– How to modify live CSS as you mentioned? What software to install? I can do it on Chrome desktop, but I don’t know how to do on Chrome mobile.
– I want to change front page (home page) & every post on mobile theme, what file to choose in Theme Editor (I use Mobile + AMP theme), please show me the part to come directly to file.

Thank you,

Calin

Hi,

When using the mobile theme, there is no option at the moment, to change the font properties.
You could try to load the font like this first
https://www.screencast.com/t/zWl8UTeN6
And then apply with with CSS for the elements you want
https://www.screencast.com/t/fWtTDPk7PZj
There may be more options added in future updates, to allow font customization on mobile, when using the mobile theme plugin. But I could not say for sure when this will happen.

Thanks

Everyone who incorrectly loaded AMP-page.

Note that the AMP standard has strict requirements for the size of the css file. No more than 50 kilobytes.

In the case of @Matjoez:

You don’t have an AMP page loaded because:

The following stylesheets are too large to be included in style[amp-custom]:
52788 B (12%): link#td-theme-css[rel=stylesheet][id=td-theme-css][href=//www-matjoez-com.exactdn.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=9.6.1][type=text/css][media=all]
21731 B (49%): link#et_bloom-css-css[rel=stylesheet][id=et_bloom-css-css][href=//www-matjoez-com.exactdn.com/wp-content/plugins/bloom/css/style.css?ver=1.3.10][type=text/css][media=all]
Total excluded size: 74,519 bytes (16% of 450,562 total after tree shaking)

As mentioned above, deactivate untested plugins.

Hi Calin!

Its exactly that, but not for the homepage. It’s just for individual posts like this one:

https://www.vortexmag.net/provavelmente-a-vila-mais-bonita-de-portugal/

I need a css code to remove padding in the posts created with wpbakery.

Thank You!

Calin
tagDiv Staff

Hi,

If I understand correctly you want to remove the padding from mobile view
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/c3vplIQFg
If this is what you want to achieve you need to add this custom css in Theme panel>Custom code>Advance css> Phones
Here is the custom code
.td-container-wrap .td-container, .td-container-wrap .tdc-row, .td-container-wrap .tdc-row-composer {
width: 100%;
padding-left: 0;
padding-right: 0;
}
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_1,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_2,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_3,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_4,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_5,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_6,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_7,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_8,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_9,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_10,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_11,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_12 {
margin-left: 0;
margin-right: 0;
}

Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
