Also, you need to remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.

Most demos contain custom design, in this case the fitness demo ads a predefined color to the header menu among others

Just as I thought, the art creek demo has a color defined in it’s custom design for the menu when sticky

So the theme panel setting does not apply. Please enter this code in Theme panel->Custom code->CSS section

.td-art-creek .td-header-style-10 .td-affix.td-header-menu-wrap {
background-color: #222222;
}

It will change the color of the sticky menu to the one you want

You could make tests with plugins you find and have the requirements you need, best to try free plugins or demo versions to for testing. I can’t make any recommendations because we haven’t made any tests with such plugins. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The theme uses the default WordPress login/register, just ads some style to it with the modal.

Maybe some theme users could share their recommendations with membership plugins they tested or use succesfully.

Unfortunately, please notice that as you want to achieve with Newsmag involves doing such an additional customization and we cannot afford to do that because involves time-consuming and also, we do not have any custom work department, sorry! I suggest you take a look at our Newspaper theme which is more powerful than Newsmag and which allows you to create an overlay menu at your homepage. Please specify all the steps you took, I will try it on my side as well. Pages you create with the add new page button will not be affected by a theme demo. Only pages added (imported) by the demo will be affected.
