Should work, on our demo we use ~10 custom sidebars and work without any problem. You add widgets in that sidebars and when you reload the widgets page the widgets from that sidebars gone?

Hello, I tried to disable the minify but the problem persists. The floating menu does not work either on your demo site.
How do I build a contact form like the one in the demo? I manage to everything except the button, the button is gray and boring.
In the demo (http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage/) the big slide have one big images and the small images. I manage to create this, but, the problem is that the image for a post do not get big in the slider. I tried to use a big image in the post, but then the image got big in the post to.

Maybe in a future version you can implement an image gallery in an article like this:http://themeforest.net/item/fearless-bold-modern-responsive-magazine/full_screen_preview/5100272
I like it much more and its typical for the “bigger” online newspapers/magazines to show pictures this way and not with an lightbox effect.
Maybe with an option to show “description”, “caption”, “thumbnails”.
Another idea is to show pictures like the “Boston big pictures” as shown here: http://demos.gabfirethemes.com/t-switcher/?theme=patterns
Maybe this 2 gallery options could choosen by article templates?

I’m the guy that configured this server ( http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ ) that gets 99-100 in google page speed and since we don’t yet have a guide about how to configure the theme and server for top speed I will write here some sugestions.
If you have any questions about speed, this is the thread for you. I will make it sticky and I will check it periodically to respond to all your questions.
– the demo is running a stock Newspaper theme
– the demo uses the tagDiv speed booster plugin – basically that plugin activates the compressed javascript from the theme and it also moves all the stylesheets and javascripts to the bottom of the html. This may break compatibility with some wordpress plugins (the ones that we recommend when you install the theme are well tested and work perfectly)
The list of speed recommendations:
– we recommend that you use W3 total cache with just the full page cache module enabled. If you have a lot of ram on your server you can use the APC full page cache (if anyone is interested I can make a tutorial for that but this option requires a dedicated server)
If you have a dedicated server / VPS:
– make sure that you have APC installed or another op cache for php. We have receive some reports that eaccelerator has some problems in specific configurations with our theme and Nginx. This will reduce your server response time.
– make sure that you have compression enabled on your site for html/js/css but not for images
– leverage browser caching – https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/LeverageBrowserCaching google page speed requiers that you set an expiring cache of 7 days or more

Thank you Radu, I will leave them as is just wanted to be sure it was reported by someone. As far as i’m concerned if someone is using IE8 they are probably not in my demographics. I am a developer myself and like everyone else cannot stand IE nor do I try to keep in in mind when initially developing a site.

1. If you want your images o fit perfectly on all site you must have at last 745 x 483px image size. Here is a diagram with all sizes used by the theme: http://import.tagdiv.com/newspaper/doc/#start
If you have content just use that plugin and this will recreate all the thumbnails. http://import.tagdiv.com/newspaper/doc/#existing-content
2. The demo content just create some posts(4-5) and some pages, you can delete it if you want, this not affect the existing content.
3. If you want to have perfect fill the size should be at last 745 x 483px. If you have bigger will be cropped at 745 x 483px.

5. The review system is only for authors, to make reviews posts and not allow users to vote. We have this in our todo list for the following updates.

I see on the demo on the newspaper theme, there is a gallery setup, and a boxed background option.
1.) How can I set up a gallery like the image below? Can you show me pictures, or etc?
2.) How can make the background like the picture below? You see how its white, but the side panels have a tone to it?
