On your suggestion, you are saying: “You can use the Flex Block 1 and you can filter it to display the posts only from a category -> https://i.imgur.com/Nnt3zGX.png and you can design it to look like a posts loops block.” I can not see how this solution is filtering out certain categories, to my understanding, the suggested solution is to display a certain selected category or all categories and NOT display all categories besides the selected ones.

Hello!

When you edit a post normally, there is a dropdown where you can choose the author.
If the author decides to publish the article from his account, then the author name will be automatically set (if it is not chosen) with the current author name.

Yes, add the Flex block 1 element, check the guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
The time format can be changed when you select custom format and paste one from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/xsWp71LD4g to have both date and time: https://www.screencast.com/t/CR4vB42DVH

Hi,

To exclude some categories from the blocks, you can do it only on Flex Block and big grid flex block.
If you really tried all of our suggestions without any success, then you can contact our custom work and they can help you to achieve what you need (REQUEST A QUOTE) : https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/

Hello,

If you don’t set a featured image on the post, then the theme will load a placeholder image, the placeholder image can be set in Theme Panel -> Block Settings -> Thumbs on Modules/Blocks => https://i.imgur.com/iISRuoX.png
Or you can hide the featured images, from the posts loop block.
The Posts Loops settings are divided into 5 tabs: General, Layout, Style, ADS and CSS. The Posts loop is a special block and doesn’t have filtering options.
Also, one of the options for pagination of the Posts Loop has the option for normal numbered and the flex blocks do not have this option.
The Posts Loop is automatically filtering the posts depending on the cloud template you set (for example on the category page there will be posted posts from that category).
You can use the Flex Block 1 and you can filter it to display the posts only from a category -> https://i.imgur.com/Nnt3zGX.png and you can design it to look like a posts loops block.

Hello,

I’d like to choose the author from a list for every post.

I see that authors are WP users. And the author has to have access to the website in order to post content.

I need WP manager to post the articles and choose the author for the article. Then a flex block to show the following:
– Author Name
– Author Photo
– Post title
– date

When you click on the article in the flex block to go to the standard single post with featured image, text etc. and the author name and picture under it.

I’m attaching a screenshot example.

https://prnt.sc/iqheowcoC9Tw

I see there is an input field VIA: Name under the article that could be used and showed in the flex block but additional image must be selected every time for the author. That could work, too.

The best option would be an autocomplete dropdown field to choose the author. Then a separate menu with authors’ names and images to upload for every author.

Please let me if it can be achieved with the current builder or you need to do customization. If so, send me the quote.

Thank you very much!

Hello —
I am using this CSS as you wrote above. It works great.
.td-theme-slider .td-slide-nav {
opacity: 1!important;
z-index: 1!important;}

Three questions:
— Can I adjust the vertical position of the “Previous” and “Next” slide icons? If I could, I would like the slide icon arrows to be close to the top of the image.
— Is it possible to add a “Pause” button — probably through CSS — and select that icon, color, and location?
— A question about saving for a Mobile layout. I would like to have the slide icon arrows be different size for Mobile than for desktop/laptop. Would I just save while the Mobile icon is shown, and the program will recognize that one parameter for a Mobile?

I tried this one time — it did not work well for me. The settings for Mobile layout also were displayed on a tablet, which made for a bad display on the tablet. When saving a page or post for Mobile, do you suggest that “Landscape viewport” and “Portrait viewport” also be adjusted and saved at the same time?

It would seem that the display settings for a tablet would be better if it defaulted to Desktop viewport rather than defaulting to Mobile viewport.

Thanks much for a very flexible program.

For our newest posts category, in https://charterpartydisputes.com/ it would be quite useful to show the tags of the post while it’s showing on a Flex block element, like author name and date can be shown. How can we accomplish this?

#0

Hello, on our webpage https://charterpartydisputes.com/ we’re going to have a new posts category. Unlike most other posts they’re not going to have a featured image for this category. We’re using a Posts Loop element to feature all of the latest posts in chronological order, featuring the latest category though leads to a rather unpleasant result having a grid with empty image placeholders. Is there any way to exclude certain posts or posts categories from the Posts Loop element? If not what would be a workaround or solution for the desired result?

This is an odd one.
Something is wrapping strangely and I’m ending up with a couple of odd characters appearing above a flex box.

If I use 020 for padding(instead of 20) it will seem to go away, for the moment.

Hello

I apologise for wasting your time with excerpt, was my mistake with flex grid and flex block so I miss setting option. Its working as you said above. Thank you.

Regarding date time I couldn’t do anything more to make date in one line. I used same and different numbers as in your image above with no result. See screenshot video

Hello,

You can use the Flex Block 1 and hide the image -> https://i.imgur.com/nkc1aZP.png and show the excerpt -> https://i.imgur.com/FvsKVrI.png

Hello,

If you using the Flex Block or Big Grid Flex in the layout are the options “Show author”, “Show date” and you can choose to hide => https://www.screencast.com/t/6UPXQbiTO2

You can remove the Single Post Date and the Single Post Author select with tagDiv Composer and with a right-click you can delete => https://i.imgur.com/GNzcGmJ.jpg , or selecting the element and with drag & drop place into the deleting red zone from the bottom right of the page => https://i.imgur.com/vkQVCjn.jpg this change will be apply to all posts that use that template.

Thank you!

Hello,

This option was requested, but we’ve searched and it looks like google will display this issue no matter what is set -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/we-desperately-need-a-way-to-no-follow-flex-blocks/ In the next update, there will be an option to enable or disable this option.
Also, during the update process, please have only tagDiv plugins enabled, (for example if you have the WordFence plugin, you need to use the WordFence assistant plugin to make sure it does not block the update process), also please make sure you have permissions set correctly so as not to interfere with the update process -> https://www.malcare.com/blog/wordpress-file-permissions/

Hello,

Please go to that category template, select the block and in the tab called layout you can hide the excerpt -> https://i.imgur.com/3cLb9wp.png
Also, in the category template, you can use the Flex Block 1 and you can filter it to display the posts only from a category -> https://i.imgur.com/Nnt3zGX.png and you can design it to look like a posts loops block.
The Posts Loops settings are divided into 5 tabs: General, Layout, Style, ADS and CSS. The Posts loop is a special block and doesn’t have filtering options.

Hello!

For the category page, you can add a flex block with a special filter Category: Current category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ The posts from that category will display only.

Hello,

Our theme is a frontend theme for most of the elements and changes, you’ll need to use the tagDiv Composer to edit the pages and templates for posts/categories, etc => https://i.imgur.com/I3OUYxr.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/mMrEufY.jpg from the frontend, no in the code -> https://www.screencast.com/t/LDdokrHPl
Also, this is a video on how to change the logo -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/

This is a video about how to change the fonts => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbkYVyj1__Q also, you can use global font from Manager(Website Manager) -> Global fonts -> https://i.imgur.com/iY0bh4Y.png

Also, for flex blocks please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-make-boxes-all-the-same-height/

Hello, Calin —
I am new to CSS and relatively new to TagDiv.
When I use the code you supplied, it will put “Updated on: ” in front of the Single Post Modified Date (that’s good).
But it also puts “Updated on” in front of the Single Post date.

Can you tell me the CSS code that would put “Updated on: ” ONLY in front the modified date?
On the Flexblock it looks fine.

But on the page template, I have both the written date and the modified date. And so that CSS code puts “Updated on: ” there twice — before both the original date and the modified date — it’s not good.

Thank you.

.td-module-date:before{
content: “Updated on: “;
}

Hello,

To display the related articles and more from author, you can use Flex Block and filter it https://www.screencast.com/t/SEmxo13Fo2X -> https://i.imgur.com/YIg3nPP.png

I delete all the Flex block 4 from the page.
Then recreate the Flex block 4, and the warning disappears.
