I am building a book blog with Newspaper/Art Creek and I am using an element to display all 60 posts/chapters in the book. But the home page has an area beneath the other elements which displays the archives and default sidebar. I need these to go away, but can’t figure out a way to do it. Help!

Hi tagDiv,

I just want to follow up on this question. I want to hide the Breadcrumbs on the homepage only so the below CSS code is not working.

.entry-crumbs {
display:none;
}

P.S. I am not using TD Composer for my homepage. Just a normal/default WP blog homepage.

Thanks!

Hello,

I am deploying this theme to a fairly large and active web site.

I’m currently developing this theme on our staging site, but how would you suggest we move it to our live site? I saw that you can export all the settings within the theme, but I’m wondering what about exporting the homepage and the menus, is there a quick way to do that?

Thank you

The logo on my homepage doesn’t seem to appear correct.

I am using style 10 and the logo image appears correct on every single page and post, however the homepage the image is shrunk? I can’t seem to resolve this. The image setting is set to large and appears correct, but just not on the homepage. http://www.expertmortgageadvisor.co.uk/

Hi Edward,

Yes, correct I’m using the default WP homepage. Sorry I did not mention that I am not using TD Composer for my homepage. Do you know how to hide the Breadcrumbs?

I’m aware that I need to paste some Custom CSS but I don’t know the code. 🙂

Thanks!

That would mean you are using the default WordPress blog style homepage, instead of a static page

To elaborate more on this matter: it concerns the following images:
http://192.168.0.208/wp_011_test_demos/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/td-dark-bg-2.jpg
http://192.168.0.208/wp_011_test_demos/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/td-dark-bg-3.jpg
On the homepage.

For reasons not known to us, our domain name is replaced with ‘192.168.0.208’ (only for those 2 images) which is a faulty local IP-address.

This results in 21 extra seconds to finish the page in the browser.
This also occurs in the backend when editing this page with the TagDiv Composer. Therefor it is impossible to work on that page.

Hello,

After updating the themes and plugins, I think about 5 days ago, I have not been able to get the theme panel to work. No tab of the theme panel works. They all lead to the theme panel landing page in the back end.

Also the mobile home page images are not loading… I just noticed this after the recent update.

Please how do I fix this?

Hi,

Let’s take these issues one at a time. So you want to change the hover color for the article titles on blocks.

By default the hover color of the post titles in blocks is the theme accent color
https://www.screencast.com/t/54OzW8stm3

If you choose a background color for the block title like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/R1tEhDG5
Then that will be the hover color for the titles of that particular block.

Or if you install a demo, the hover color can be set by the demo. For example I believe the fitness demo sets an orange color for all the block titles. If that is the case, this specific demo design can be removed from it’s stylesheet
https://www.screencast.com/t/JYd5QnZZQ
We could take a look at the homepage if none of these is helpful, please provide a link to your website.

Thanks

Hi,

We installed the Art Creek theme but the hero image on our homepage is less wide than the hero image on the demo website.
Our website: https://navigatormag.be/ (user: previewer password: navmag9396)
Your demo: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_art_creek/
When I look at the code, I see a class td-boxed-layout in the body tag. I don’t know how to switch the boxed layout to fullwidth lay-out.
I read in the forum that the website automatically switches to boxed when adding a background but we haven’t added a background so that can’t be the reason. I haven’t found a setting to switch to boxed anywhere in the theme settings, neither in the page settings.
Searching for “box” or “boxed” in the theme documentation doesn’t give any relevant hits.
Please advice how we can switch the website from boxed to fullwidth.

Hello, I apologize I don’t think I have a demo installed. Anyway my website is: http://beforethecyborgs.com/ if you would like to take a look and possibly tell me how I can get the author, date and review metadata to show up on every block/post on the homepage.

Your assistance is much appreciated as I am completely lost here!

Hi Bogdan,

I wish to retain the orange colour code #FFA500, however when you hover over an article on homepage or within a widget, it displays colour #fc7d46 which is what I do not want and am struggling to change it within settings.

Re the ad issue, prior to the update, I was able to move the sidebar widget lower to accommodate the ad using the css option within widgets, however as that setting is not available I am asking for assistance.

Many Thanks

Hi there,

The category filter on my homepage blog appears to be broken with random articles showing where they shouldn’t – https://gaminglyf.com/

When chosing ‘Opinion Piece’ for example a whole bunch of other articles show, despite there only being 1 Opinion Piece article on the site currently.

Filter by ‘Switch’ and articles duplicate in the list and articles such as “PUBG Mobile is live on Android and iOS” appear despite not being a part of this category. Same goes for most categories – there’s articles which shouldn’t be there etc.

What’s going on?

Hi,

Those would be the demo categories and posts that were imported when installing the demo. You can edit the homepage with the tagDiv composer and configure the blocks and grids to display your own posts from our own categories.

Check the block settings guide I provided in your other topic, as well as the tagDiv composer guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Then you can delete the dummy categories and posts, there will be no need for them.
Let us know if you have further questions, we will help you as best we can.

Thanks

Hello i have done the steps and double checked that I have in fact hit the options you outlined but the metadata for date, author are still not appearing on the blocks on my homepage. Reviews and functioning properly however.

Hello,

You are using a blog homepage. Please use a static page. Use this guide:https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/

Thank you!

Hi,

Actually there should be 3 modules in that grid, unless you have made modifications to it. If you changed the number of modules for the mobile homepage here
https://www.screencast.com/t/w9QK0l7w
That will affect the category pages as well. Indeed that will cause the extra posts to be doubled, there is an offset solution for the homepage in this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-set-offset-post-for-latest-post-module-on-mobile-theme-plugin/
Try adding the mentioned offset for the category pages
https://www.screencast.com/t/HTs6RoojM3q3

Thanks

I am using Newspaper 8.5, Style 10. My website is http://www.thesumerian.com.

My problem is my logo, at the very top of my homepage.

Although the .png file looks crisp and well-defined, the logo looks a little blurry — especially the word “THE” at the far left. And especially on a large monitor.

I am currently using a logo that is 1625 x 125px:

https://prnt.sc/iuj7vw

I see that the theme asks for a logo that is 272 x 90 px, but that seems super-small and also distorts my logo when I re-size it those dimensions:

https://prnt.sc/iuj40y

Please advise how I can make the logo appear as the size it currently appears at on my homepage, but with more sharpness/definition.

Thanks!
