Can you tell how much time I have to wait for that, because its been one week and more since I am waiting for the update and found nothing.

You will have to edit that theme file and remove all the code in it, replace it with this one

For the social counter, you have to edit a file from the plugin. You could use even the WordPress plugin editor

Then the counter will work as before.
After making these changes be sure to clear the cache and CDN if used.

It has to be public in order for the images to be pulled.
@Talent10 The widget will refresh every 3 hours, so there could be a different issue. Please provide a link to your website and we will take a look.
@Simion Tried to apply mentioned updates to instagram widget/footer but it broke functionality in footer completely. After applying and clearing cache it shows only header, no pictures in footer. Tried to temporarily add widget to see if it is affected too, same situation. Shows only header, telling there are 0 followers and no pictures at all.
Had to revert changes and restore old 8.7.2 version – it shows outdated content, but at least works somehow. Please fix this. Thanks!
Do you have any idea when this issue will be rectified please? I am too scared to touch the back-end of my site and would need to pay someone to do this so I’m wondering if I should wait. Will it be a matter of days, weeks or months please?

The solutions will work, make them as advised and be sure to clear all caching and CDN if used and the data should be refreshed. I cannot say at the moment when a theme update including these fixes will be released.
This will not break the footer section, simply edit the theme file mentioned and select and remove all the code inside it, then paste the one provided. The code is tested and works properly. The links to the code work well from what I can see.

Facebook also is making some modifications to their code, so there might be issues in that matter as well. Apparently it seems some Facebook keys work and some keys do not

I upgrade the theme from v8.5.1 to v8.7.2, right now, but the INSTAGRAM ISSUE has not been removed.
When will next theme release including instagram widget fix?

@drcocci@gmail.com To fix the Instagram you should try the fix provided above and there should be no problem. When a theme update will be released it will contain this fix, but I cannot say when exactly this update will be released.
We are currently also investigating issues which are caused by Facebook making changes to their code as well. The Facebook counter in the social counter fails to work for some users.
I am still awaiting for the fixing upgrade.

As per your suggestion I have tried the alternative solution too by updating the code as shared in the link. But from that the post images which were showing previously were gone too. That code doesn’t work for me either.
Please suggest what to do next.

Do you know when you expect to update the theme with a solution? I would rather not risk causing other errors by getting into the backend editor.
@Talent10 I see the images appear in the Instagram widget, but they are not the latest ones. Please try as mentioned and if you have a form of caching clear (delete) the cache. Also I see you might be using Cloudflare, purge files in Cloudflare as well

I think newspaper once was a great theme, now since you wanna sell it for everything the template has more bugs and less improvements for newspapers and magazines… thinking to go to another theme after many years with newspaper

The Instagram widget is showing the images because I have reverted the code with previous one because it’s my live website so I don’t want any bug kind of thing to be seen.. Hope you understand.
The updated code you suggested was not working properly, in the sense not showing the images.
May be you can suggest something else.
