We bought the theme and we are trying to modify. We have created the category and subcategories as well and in the block we wanted to show only one category and posts that are related to that category so we selected only that category but it shows nothing… why ..?

@deelauaki Please check your console for errors and make sure that your check this without any plugins active, empty all caches/purge files if you sue CDN host services then check again (leave just the Visual Composer plugin active).
@rnbjunk I have checked your site an noticed several different posts on your homepage besides the one you’ve mentioned so I guess that you’ve managed to fix this.
Please let me know and I suggest you also check your console for errors and disable all plugins if you still have issues with this.

Same issue here! We launched the new version of the site just today, new post are not showing in homepage after the slider, even if we selected “latest”!

2. You can create a blog page using Visual Composer then set it as you blog page from WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading or you can set your latest posts. Here you have an guide on how to create and set your homepage: https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage/

I would like the footer logo to link to the homepage (just like the header logo). Do I have to edit the php pages or is there another way to accomplish this?

Are you sure the issue is due to high cpu load? This is very unusual because usually the weakest link is the HDD/SSD (high I/O wait).

I would also suggest to make a test with the default theme from wordpress because that many posts are really pushing the limits of WordPress and MySQL (IF it’s not properly configured). The theme uses about 30% more queries than the default wordpress theme and it adds up with each block that you add to the homepage / sidebar.
Please know that issues like this are very hard to debug and the high cpu load can come from a variety of reasons including: high traffic + server that is not properly configured, poor cache choices / configurations, poor mysql configuration, slow hdd/ssd, no php op cache, WordPress limits (at that many posts, wp is almost at it’s limit and if you search a bit on the web about this you will find that it is terribly slow with many posts), etc…

That’s not what I ment. I mean, I want to see by the posts that I wrote the post count view in de ADMIN panel.
But when I switch the button on then it also appears on the front end in de homepage.
So how can I keep the post count view by the posts in de Admin panel and remove the post view count on the homepage.

Thanks a lot for those, I figured how to work things out, but I do have one last question. Is it possible to not break the homepage sidebar area when it gets to the latest articles? Basically the latest articles need a second sidebar, and I would just like to show the default one on the entire page from top to bottom, and over the latest articles. I use a lot of widgets to show information.

I want to hide the post view counter and the eye icon on my homepage slider. I can’t seem to find the option in the theme panel settings.
Gah. I know this is probably a real simple overlooked fix, but I can’t seem to find out where to change the link when I click on the Home icon button. (also tried searching forum) My url is http://theorangecountyindependent.com/ and when I click the Home icon on the top bar, it takes me to http://theorangecountyindependent.com/td_d_slug_1/ , which is a different homepage.

Thanks for the response. I’ve made a bit of a hash out of it to be honest so I went back to the start. What I dont understand is under homepages on the site there is a drop down with different types of homepages available. But when I go to my pages, there are no pages showing. I deleted them all thinking I could start from scratch but Ive just confused myself further :S

The simpler way would be to set and use the “homepage bg” template. In that case you will automatically have added an slider to the page then use custom css to set the background to be transparent.
Set the background template then remove the big slider you use then let me know and I will provide you the css to set the background to transparent.

I’ve set the sidebar on the right side on pages, as it was default, but it still won’t show on the front page anywhere above the latest articles. I want it to be shown in every page the same way, I don’t want to make different sidebars to use as widgets for the homepage.
Regarding the ads, this is my test site : http://xzs.idevice.ro/ . I use ads on my own web server with a floating code, and I want to add a normal 728 x 90 one for desktop and tablets, plus a 320 x 50 one for mobile. For this to work I need to show two different custom ads in mobile and desktop.

1-3-5 Yes, and also make sure you empty cache and purge files if you use any CDN host services.
2. It will create several different thumbs for images which the themes needs and will be used on module/blocks/sliders.
4. This works based on js which I noticed that isn’t working at all on your homepage disable all plugins and make sure that you test this without any plugins active.
6. Please also test this without any plugin active and see if this still happens.

i have just installed the themes. i visited my homepage and it shows list “full article content”,

I have changed my subcategories in category pages to trending now in category page. In the homepage, no shadow are displaying below the button, but on category pages, displaying a shadow line below the button. I want to remove the shadow line from category pages too. I am using six rows to create my homepage. The rows are split in either two or three columns with the last column meant for the sidebar. I am using the first (in two-column row) and first, second column (in three column row) to build the left panel. But I am not able to create a widgetised sidebar since I am left with six columns (the last column of each row). If I use the last column of the first row to place the widgetised sidebar, the remaining five ‘last columns’ are still left unused. Also, the left panel of the first row height is automatically increased to the height of the widgetised sidebar, leaving a huge blank space until the end of the height. If I am able to merge all the six last columns into one, and use it for the widgetised sidebar, my problem will be solved. How to merge the columns into one? Anyone please help. Thanks
Hello, is there any way to make the default sidebar appear on the right side of the whole homepage, even where there are widget blocks ? At the moment the default sidebar is only shown in the bottom of the page where the latest articles are visible.
I know I can make widgetised sidebar blocks for each widget block, but I don’t want that. I want the default sidebar to be shown on the entire home page as it is in articles.
LE: I would also like to hide on the mobile phone view the “more stories box” visible within articles.
And finally I would like to completely hide the sidebar in the mobile phone view to make navigation a lot simpler.

Apologies in advance for the question, I’m a beginner.
Anyway I have the demo installed and I’m creating my website around that. The issue I am having is that the homepage I want, only appears when I enter http://themucker.com/?page_id=27#. However when I enter http://themucker.com, or click the logo on any of the pages, I am taken to a different page.
How can I get rid of the page on themucker.com and make the logo, themucker.com and the home link on the pages all direct to http://themucker.com/?page_id=27# without having the ‘?page_id=27#’ after the domain.
I hope that made sense :S
