A child theme is provided in the theme package, please use that one

Not all files from the theme can be used in the child theme, in the guide the supported files are mentioned.
Install the child theme provided, this should not have any influence on importing a demo or building pages, unless maybe the code used in the child theme is interfering with this process.

First of all, ensure that you have right installed the latest version of the theme via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Then, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all the caches and check the results.

I installed loco translation plugin to translate the theme to my native language. I see the following notification by Bundle setup:

I’m having this same issue. I installed Newspaper 8.1 via FTP. My system status is all green and I have no other plugins enabled except Maintenance Mode, and I just get a white screen when trying to edit a page with tagDiv composer. I installed the composer plugin that came with the 8.1 zip as well. It’s just broken.
I disabled all plugins, except for Tag Div Composer, and had the same problem. I updated the Newspaper from 8 to 8.1 and installed the new Tag Div Composer plugin with it. Now when I go to edit any page with the composer, I get a white screen.

I installed the theme, uploaded a demo and began to discover the Newspaper theme.
I’m facing an issue, probably because there’s something I don’t understand…
My website will have some timeless pages and some news. Usually on WP I use Pages for timeless stuff and Posts for news. But it seems that your theme is shaped in a way that Pages should be used for categories or sections etc., not for timeless content.
I noticed that the different designs (text + picture + …) are only available for Posts.
My worry is about the sections: if I use Posts for my timeless pages then I’ll have to use a category and I do not want to mix timeless pages and news under the same category.
My worry is also about SEO, if my timeless pages are shown like Posts (date, author, etc.) then Google push them up kicker in its index (great!) but also rank them lower after a few months/years. These pages should be timeless…
How could I solve it?

I have bought the newsmag theme. I went on my WordPress.com (business plan) and uploaded the theme. my problem is that I do not have a 3 columns home page as I should but a succession of posts like a basic blog. Does anybody have a idea of what went wrong?

I apologize if I am missing a duplicate thread somewhere.
I tried an upgrade from version 4 to the latest version. My current installation has few customizations and the content seems to partially render. There is a problem with some parts of the pages that show the old codes. For example:
[td_slide category_id=”916″ sort=”random_posts” hide_title=”hide_title” autoplay=”5″ limit=””]
[td_block1 category_id=”7″ limit=”” ajax_pagination=”load_more”]
…instead of rendered content.
I saw on another thread that there was a script that needed to be run when upgrading. Does this still exist for v8? Is there an alternative?

After all his research and removal / replacement of infected files, I still get this message:
We are using polylang with the Newspaper 7.8, however on category pages the first post have different URL than the other posts on the same page.
This doest not happen on a fresh basic wordpress install. Seems there is a problem with only the first post.
Only the first one, this happens for all available Article display view’s.
URL of a Post is like: https://www.***.com/spiele/minecraft/minecraft-story-mode-zweite-staffel-angedeutet,17767.html
But the first Post somehow is like: https://www.***.com/minecraft-pc-version-auf-world-of-colors-aktualisiert/
So only the first post of category pages have a wrong URL.
Any ideas ?
1. Go to “your site/wp-content/themes/newspaper” folder location and delete it (newspaper). Your content will not be lost, but please note that if you have modifications on the theme code they will be lost. You have to reapply them after the update is over.

I just install newsmag theme to an existing website and tried to activate Tech Demo but it doesn’t display it properly instead displaying shortcodes inside themes as follows:

Hi.
I’m also interested in being able to install more than 3 custom fonts, so I found this topic very useful. Nonetheless, Bogdan’s last instruction did not make it for me. I opened the td_view_custom_fonts.php file through FileZilla, and edited it just as instructed in the screenshot shared by Bogdan. When I go back to the Theme Fonts section in my Theme Panel, I still see only 3 rows for adding custom fonts.
Here you can see what I did with the code on the td_view_custom_fonts.php file. Here you can see that my Theme Panel still shows only 3 rows.
Any ideas?

Flash is not supported by most web browsers by default anymore, being an end of life product (https://blogs.adobe.com/conversations/2017/07/adobe-flash-update.html) and blocked by most modern ones, so should generally no longer be used — or start winding down if you have no choice “right now.”
What browser are you using, do you have Flash installed in browser, does your browser support Flash?
Theme has zero control over Flash content.
If you paste it into a post using the text editor, and it doesn’t work, it means something is wrong with what you’re entering, or your browser doesn’t suppport Flash playback.
( I don’t work here. Just feedback on the obvious possible issue. ) 🙂
