Hello AWAY FROM LIFE,

First of all, please ensure that you are using the header template style 10 which display the logo in full width on the top of the page + main menu and then you should use a high logo which must have the similar size with logo on Scandal Magazine demo, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/7W4WYanlUMu

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Hello raunakniroula,

I guess that you want to decrease the spaces between main menu and logo and ad section, right? So, if you want to do this, you should use the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td-header-sp-rec img {
margin-bottom:0;
}
.td-header-sp-logo {
margin-bottom:0;
}
.td-main-logo img{
margin-bottom:0;
}

The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/kZhDK0OqhtEC

Thanks for the message!

Hey,

how can I make the same size and position of the logo like in the Scandal demo?

Thank you!

Sorry but there is no other solution .You cannot have infinite space on one column. The container is fixed. If you add more and more text to a single line, it will fall on 2 lines. There is no way to increase the container. Sorry but you will have to either reduce the menu items names or simply use less menu items. Try a different header style that does not have the logo inside the main menu if you need more space.
Thank you!

Hello logosi,

You can try the following code below ->

.td_mega_menu_sub_cats{
background-color: red;
}
.td_mega_menu_sub_cats .cur-sub-cat {
background-color: black!important;
}

The result -> http://screencast.com/t/cZ1BhIJSv

You should change the color for background because both of them is white and what’s why you cannot see anything.

Thanks.

Hello irfansypo,

Unfortunately, our theme does not have tested in this regard and we have no idea if the SWF file flash will work and if it supported by it, sorry! I do not know if the WordPress CMS support this…you should try it! If you want to use some animation in logo section, you can try using a gif image format and check the results.

Thanks for the message and for your understanding!

Hello,

1. I cannot see any white line in the top bar on your site. What line are you referring to?

2. If you do not want to change the color from the theme panel, then you can change it using css. If you want to find the css that affects a particular element, the browser inspector is the best tool to see it: http://screencast.com/t/GFm90kXriSR
You can also use the theme panel->custom css box

3. You can eithr resize it with css like so:
.footer-logo-wrap img{
width:20%;
}

or simply disable it from the theme panel-> footer section

4. You can use this css:
.footer-text-wrap .footer-email-wrap a{
color:red;
}

5. Sorry but our theme has no such options. You will have to search for a plugin or create it custom.

Thank you!

Hello,
I want to make my WordPress blog’s ‘Newspaper’ theme full width for the desktop version only.
Here are the things I want –

1. The widget (on the right) get closer to the right with only a little space left on the right hand side. However, the size of the widget area remains the same i.e., I only want it to push closer to right.

2. The content area stretches more to the left and leaves less free area on the left hand side.

3. Full width header area i.e., Logo stick to the extreme corner of left and also the top menu (in black) to begin from the extreme left.

4. full width footer area.

I think these all requirements can be achieved by just increasing the width of the container for the desktop version of the site, but I was a bit confused after looking at that huge CSS code.

URL – http://thatsbreaking.com
theme – Newspaper

I will be very happy to receive some suggestions to make the blog more attractive, if you have any suggestions then do share them with me.
I tried to mention every detail here, but still if I missed any then let me know.
Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.

Good first step is fix all the errors being generated on the page.

Do “F12” in Chrome for the console view; always wise to check that for any issues.

One issue we’ve seen with Google News, is with certain layouts where the “category pills” are ABOVE the headline on the page, vs moving them below the content (we moved them below the author box … ).

Stupidly, they are “supposed” to read the Google News XML site map you should be feeding them, which has the title in it, and not managed by the theme in any way.

But in some odd cases they do seem to prefer

[menus/logo]
[breadcrumbs]
[headline/h1]
[sub head/h2 – optional]
[body of news item]

versus

[menus/logo]
[breadcrumbs]
[category links] x
[headline/h1]
[sub head/h2 – optional]
[body of news item]

Be sure to view the page source of your posts to also ensure you have Open Graph tags for og:title as well.

Hello,
I’d like to make a few adjustments to my website, http://www.viraltacos.com

1. For the load more buttons, I need to make the arrow a little bigger and center aligned with “More Stories”. Here is my current CSS:
.td_ajax_load_more {
font-size:15px;
padding: 13px 18px;
}

2. For the category pages, I’m trying to place a full-width banner on the top of the page. However there is padding on both sides and I can’t get it to stretch all the way no matter what I do. Check here: http://viraltacos.com/animals/

3. Disable the search feature, or at the very least remove it from the header (both desktop and mobile). For the desktop header, I need to move the categories to the right to take the place of the search icon; the logo will remain on the left side.

4. Disable the “Related Articles” section on the mobile site. Also if possible, I’d like to have this section full-width (all 3 columns) on the desktop site below the post content and sidebar. Is there an easy solution to this?

Thank you in advance!
Mike

Hi,

How can I adjust logo’s position in header Style 8?
Logo should be placed on the left in line with top bar, menu should be under logo.

Hello,
Here is an example of header style 10 and a big logo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_cars/
Header styles 9, 10 and 11 will show the logo in the exact dimension you upload it in.
You cannot enlarge an image using css without losing clarity. You will have to use an image editor like photoshop to create a big size logo. You cannot enlarge smaller ones. You can but the result is extremely underwhelming
Thank you!

Hi,

I checked again (I checked before writing here), and there’s no logo added anywhere whatsoever.

This code and
.td-mobile-footer-wrap{
display:none!important;
}

.td-mobile-footer-wrap .td-footer-description{
display:none!important;
}

and this, neither of them worked.

I just want to remove the amilucid.com and about us part. I tweaked every setting in the theme panel, otherwise I would not write, as I respect other people’s time.

Thank you.
