Hi,
1. Try to disable all the plugin and check if the memory usage drops, if it does enable plugins one by one and see which one is causing this issue. If this doesn’t work, try to check the error.log and see if it is anything related to this problem.
2. Please check the documentation for each one, usually it is a script that you have to add on the head container or at the beginning or end of the body container, the procedure is different for each.
Thanks!
Hello;

Hi @hoarr
Try to increase the memory allocated to php in wp-config.php file, here it’s a guide regrading this
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP If you still get this behavior also test this by disabling all plugins, also check in system status if the max_input_vars values, this should be over 2000: http://screencast.com/t/FDC4K3PJOCME
@ctrlinternet we didn’t tested the theme with any Cloud Flare plugin and I am not aware of its functionality, you may try an alternative to it.
Thanks!

Hi DianeFoley,
If the change to the WP Memory Limit have been recognized then it means the rest don’t update because they actually aren’t changed or they aren’t changed right. We will look into the wp rocket caching plugin matter as soon as possible, I have added it on our todo list.
Let us know how it goes and if this still happens please give us wp-access and provide your admin and ftp login credentials via email at contact@tagdiv.com including a link to this conversation, so we can have a closer look at this.
Thanks
Hello admin ‘@neotrope, @support002’, i installed the Newsmag theme on my website, and after activating it, i have been getting this message as error message “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 311296 bytes) in /home/content/01/12785601/html/wp-admin/menu.php on line 261” whenever i try to access any page from the backend, but the frontend works just fine.

Did you also change default memory setting for wordpress in wpconfig file?
Hello,
I’ve confirmed that I have set up php.ini by checking phpinfo() within my site’s folder (hosting with BlueHost). However, the System Status page doesn’t show any of my PHP environment changes accurately. It also doesn’t detect WP Rocket as a caching plugin. I was wondering if there’s a setting to allow System Status to get the correct information? It looks like it’s just defaults showing up otherwise.
I have confirmed that it is recognizing WP environment changes, as it shows the correct value for WP Memory Limit.
Thank you!
Try increasing the default memory for WordPress in your wp-config.php file per the WordPress Codex (docs) on how to edit the wp-config.php file.
The theme writes many more thumbnails per file upload than default theme; also try disabling jetpack, and all plugins except for Visual Composer.
Hi Alin,
Thank you for the reply.
I have checked php memory limit, see attached pics. It seems it is set to 256M or I am wrong?
Also, see the screenshot I have made during publishing a post.

Hope, you can help me.
Thanks

PS: Sorry for multiple editing. Issue with image hosting prov.
Hi,
The 500 error is an internal server error, I suggest you contact your host provider and let theme know about this: http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E500.html Also try to increase the php memory limit and see how it goes.
If you have access to your error.log file, you can take a look at it and see if there’s any data that can lead to a conclusion on this.
Ok, I think I finally solved the problem.
I looked at the error log and find an “out of memory” error.
I changed the wp.config file and added
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
It seems to work.

I also experience the same issue on hostgator shared plan for one of my sites. And hostgator says:
The issue is caused by visual composer because it wants more memory access than it has access to. You can either contact the developer to see if there is anything they can do to assist, but I am not a coder, I can’t provide advice on how to modify that theme to use less memory to work within the 256M limit of our servers. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
Could you please help to fix this issue?
Note: I have been using Newspaper 6 theme.

Hi @jamman,
Site looks good, have you tried making your text orange and remove the background behind your logo?
Also i’m not sure if you know this but you have a smiley face at the bottom of your site.. i’m pretty sure you get that from Jet Pack plugin, and from memory there is a way to remove it.
Hi,
Try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer and see if the issue is still there. If the issue is gone enable the rest of the plugins one by one until you find the one which is causing this issue.
Also try to install a query monitor plugin, and check the memory usage.
Thank you!
Great place to learn to use WordPress is the official codex; often you can do google search like wordpress codex increase memory, and similar 🙂
https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
ideally you want to make sure you have at least 96MB allocated to php for your site from your hosting company; and then edit your wp-config.php file (above), to also change to 96MB.
Stupidly, WP defaults to 40MB which is fine for blog, not for a magazine! 🙂
Thank you Chris.
But I don’t know how to increase the memory… I installed demos, but doesn’t work too.. Could you intervene for me?
Works for me on WP 4.3, so likely completely different issue.
You may need to increase the default memory for WP in your wp-config.php file, make sure you disable all plugins temporarily other than Visual Composer, and make sure you clear all your caching if used.
Look for official reply from TagDiv; this is just my feedback.
Hello! When I try to upload an image with the plugin “thumbnail upscale” activated i only get an error, i have tp refresh the page and then i’ll find the image correctly uploaded.
Here’s the errore i get:

Warning: imagecopyresampled() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /public/wp-includes/class-wp-image-editor-gd.php on line 198

I already checked some basic stuff: there’s enough memory allocated to WP, the file format is supported and correctly named, i don’t use anything like photon (i’m testing on a clean install) or Cloudflare. When the plugin is deactivated the error goes away. Also, the problem doesn not replicate if i switch to TwentyFifteen.
Can you please help me? Thanks.
Hi top10wala,
Recently we haven’t had any similar reports regarding the Visual Composer plugin so please check the theme system status to see if the php memory limit has been increased as setting it from wp-config may not work if your host does not allow for increasing the PHP memory limit–in that event, contact your host to increase the PHP memory limit.
If this problem persist please address us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your site’s admin and ftp login details so we can have a closer look at this and also include a link to this topic.
Thanks
Did you also increase the default memory used by WordPress – this *must* be done in your wp-config.php file.
https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
Hi
Site: http://www.top10wala.in
Nearly everyday i get this error when I try to access WP Admin area.
“Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 18289149 bytes) in /home/wp_k7msjt/top10wala.in/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1092”
I have already increased PHP Memory limit to 512 M. Later I disabled all plugins then only got able to access site. After receiving some update from Hosting provider I tried enabling plugin one by one and found that only after enabling Visual composer I got this error again. I have updated my plugin recently to latest one.
Could you please look into the issue?
Buna ziua,
Domain % CPU % MEM MySQL Processes
zch.ro 23.73 27.00 3.8
mesagerulneamt.ro 7.06 4.47 1.2
System Item Details
Server Load 13 (6 CPUs)
Memory Used 86.15% (2,709,976 of 3,145,728)
Swap Used 32.99% (1,037,748 of 3,145,728)
Heh. If gtmetrix times out that is really bad, and might be first thing to check with your cdn. Try turning off all the plugins except vc, then solve that problem first. Turn off lazy load feature.
Go through my sticky post at top of forum, and be aware of stuff like upping default wp memory, expiration headers, default image optimization level, functions.php fixes, remove as much external stuff as possible like gravatars, limit ad spots, dont use google fonts, etc.
