Heh. If gtmetrix times out that is really bad, and might be first thing to check with your cdn. Try turning off all the plugins except vc, then solve that problem first. Turn off lazy load feature.

Go through my sticky post at top of forum, and be aware of stuff like upping default wp memory, expiration headers, default image optimization level, functions.php fixes, remove as much external stuff as possible like gravatars, limit ad spots, dont use google fonts, etc.

Hi,

What version of visual composer plugin you use and how many posts/pages you have and also have you tried increasing the memory allocated to php limit: https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
Also try to check the error.log file, it may contain something related to this issue.

Thanks!

Once I installed my News purchased newspaper theme, my Server is going bad. Firstly I had got a problem in wp-super cache plugin.
I removed it.
But, still, every time i want to update my website, getting error of memory allocation.
My Godaddy server shows 490 MB of 512 MB of Ram & 85% cpu usage. That too without users online for the website.

Now, when i am trying to update a post i can’t b’s of memory allocation issue.

Dashboard news show-
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 91 bytes) in /home/public_html/drbole.com/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 802

previously it was showing plugin.php memory allocation error.

Why this theme is using so much resources?

Please guide.

Hello Lucian.
I have tried repeatly to fix the problem by disabling some plugins with no results at all. I don’t know if this is a problem of memory or anything else. I have also considered it to be a problem with the WP version, so I updated it too, but it still persits the problem.

So, as you asked, I will send you by email the details to login in our website, for you to have a look and solve it up. Thanks.

You need to increase your memory limit. This is very easy to do. Talk to your host or follow these instructions: http://www.paulund.co.uk/increase-wordpress-memory-limit

What do i need to turn off?

I’m on a VPS and properly caching my site using w3 about 600 daily uniques. Since this latest update, my site spicebaby dot com is running out of memory especially overnight and host says there are optimization issues with your script updates causing this to happen.

With the new update, what has changed to cause this to happen? Please assist so I can curb this right-away. I love the newspaper theme and don’t want to replace it.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes it does:
– speedbooster moves the css and js at the end of the page, this removes render blocking and improves the score on pagespeed;
– the cache plugin creates a copy of each post/page and delivers it from the memory;
– the cdn makes a copy for each image, css and other heavy resources and delivers them from high speed servers which are geographically closer to the site visitor area. The servers are spread around the world, this improves the page load speed.

Thank you!

Be sure to increase the base memory for your WordPress site in your wp-config.php file, to at least 64MB and preferably 96MB or more. Visual Composer and all the latest plugins like Yoast do use more memory and WP defaults to a paltry 40MB which is nothing these days.

I have mine set to 256MB but have lots of RAM.

Hi,

After I install Visual Composer I get a blank admin page. This is the error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/vhosting/t/vhost0066829/domains/masterclassdynamo.nl/htdocs/www/wp-admin/includes/media.php on line 1422

How and where can I resolve this problem in my FTP?
