Hello,

You can remove the mobile menu by using this code:
#td-top-mobile-toggle{
display:none!important
}

Unfortunately there is no version of newspaper that supports RTL. There was a version a long time ago but we since then gave up support for it as the theme got m,ore and more complex, the css file size increased dramatically and rtl was removed from the theme options. This was a choice made by the developers.

Thank you!

Hi,

I have added the custom CSS code to make the top menu show on the mobile device but somehow it’s loading so slow. It’s like it has to wait for everything to fully load before it appears on the screen.

Hello Gabo,

Unfortunately, we cannot offer another solution in this regard because the theme has not been designed to use two different menus on the desktop and mobile mode, sorry! Please notice that you can develop our theme and add some options to add another menu for mobile but it requires custom work and we cannot provide this service at the moment, sorry! If you are not aware of these steps, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Catalin,

Thanks for your reply. Do you guys have another solution then for this problem? Because I don’t see the point of offering mega menu’s for categories if there is no solution handed for the mobile version. Looking forward to your respons. Best, Gabo

Hello,
The sidebar was not added to the mobile theme so that is a default behavior of the theme. The menu on the other hand should work so please disable all plugins except visual composer and the mobile theme, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test the mobile menu again.
let us know if you still have trouble with the menu.
Thank you!

Hello Gabo,

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option that offers you a simple way to change the structure of menu on mobile mode, sorry! If you want to do these changes, please notice that this is not a simple task and require to do some additional customizations through code that involve custom work. If you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Bogdan, thank for the quick reply. I understand now that the theme does not offer the mega menu post on the mobile version.

I also understand I will have to add urls to the menu item, to create sub menu. However, the same menu is shown on the desktop and the mobile version. Is there a way to only change the mobile menu?

Hi,
Well they cannot work properly as the mega-menu does not show up on mobile if there are no sub-menu items. You will have to add a url to that menu item as the mobile menu will only show menus, not posts like the mega-menu on desktop. If your custom link leads to “#” and there are no sub-menus under it, there will be nothing to show and the link will be empty. Please add an url to your menu items.
Thank you!

Dear Bogdan,

Thanks for the reply. I can confirm that the menu items: MBO / HBO & WO, work fine on the mobile version. However, the menu items: Actueel / Team, are not working properly. These are the mega menu with post images. I cant click on those items on the mobile version. So the menu items is visible but does not create a dropdown with at least the titles of the posts. The desktop version is working fine though. Looking forward to your reply. Best, Gabo

Hi,
Please update your theme to the latest version by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and then update your plugins including visual composer, rev slider if you use it, and the social counter plugin. This method should help: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Please note that newspaper 7 comes with an optional mobile theme plugin that if used changes the style of the mobile version of your site. You can find more details about this here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Also please note that visual composer and rev slider added registration messages in the newer version that must be ignored as the free versions cannot be registered.
You can see the new mobile menu with login options here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Thank you!

Hi there,
I installed the new upgrade but now I’m getting the mobile menu showing up on top of the main content along with a search bar. Also, my Logo title is showing up but I have a Logo image already in place. And also the block I’m using is now showing up in one column instead of two as before.. Please let me know where I can change this or what code to change.Thanks.

Hello aliou89,

If you want to hide the main menu bar for your mobile, you will have to use a bit of CSS code to hide it. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

@media(max-width:767px){
.td-header-main-menu{
display:none
}
}

The result -> http://screencast.com/t/KNlCCxprmN

Thanks.

HI There,

I’m just wondering about the Mobile Menu.

When I go to my site – http://fodphotosite.com – and view in Mobile view – the Mobile menu comes up fine, when clicked on the three bars at the top – left… but,

How do I get rid of the “Sign In” button?

and

If there is a main menu item – it is not clickable – unless someone clicks on the arrow to the right. How do I make the main menu item Clickable to open the Sub-Menus?

Thank you sooo much.

I just upgraded my NewsMag theme from ver. 2.3.6 to ver. 3.0. Everything works OK. Except I have a couple of complaints.

On ver. 2.3.6, both the mobile menu and search window appearance looked so much better. They were fast and very non-obtrusive.

On ver. 3.0, the menu choppily slides from side-to-side as does the search window. I really dislike this, and would rather have them both do what version 2.3.6 did.

I still have all my backup files from version 2.3.6. Is there anyway for me to just revert the mobile menu and search window back to 2.3.6? What files should I upload back to my server?

Hi There,

I’ve noticed on the Apple iPad Air 2 – the Mobile menu doesn’t re-size.

If I have a main menu, then a sub-menu – the sub-menu goes behind the re sizable page size for the ipad, so it does not fall into place naturally; being responsive.

Can you please advise how I make the Menu Fully Responsive & Mobile compatible?

Thank you so much. Love Newspaper.

Hello,

I have everything working nicely on the theme but I have some issues with the mobile menu. For some reason it doesn’t expand when the page loads, it only comes out half way and the background is all white, which doesn’t show my links because they are white too.

Obviously you need the link and everything so please reply so I can email you privately, thank you!

Hi,

Today I just upgraded from v6 to the latest v7. I am experiencing an issue where the td-mobile-nav (a list of links from the old mobile menu) appears above the rest of my website: studenthub.org.uk . Could you please advise me on how to fix this.

Furthermore, when trying to install the mobile theme plugin 1.0 for Newspaper 7, i get the error:

“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Mobile_Detect in /home/critendangered/public_html/studenthub.org.uk/wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/Mobile_Detect.php on line 29”

Please advise on how I can fix both issues.

Thanks

Hello,

I have checked our demo preview and the mobile menu seems to work as properly, without any overlapping, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/2KImmoGUWX you can test here -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_medicine/# Please try to re-check your theme settings and please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme in order to achieve best results.

Thanks for your understanding!
