I only use desktop, not mobile version themes. I don’t understand how to install mobile theme from articles. And I couldn’t. When I use the amp and mobile theme version, the menu settings are not the same.

Hi,

I have several issues with the current Newspaper 10 version

1. I have tried to set up the mobile theme for my website http://www.sweetsharing.com but it won’t show. The version showing on mobile is not the Vital set up by me. It fails the Core Web vitals and the Gtmetrix score is poor 50% while the desktop version score is 98%. (for pages)

2. Tagdiv composer Overloads my site with CSS and JavaScript making a negative impact on the performance.

3. The site breaks when I update the PHP version. I have to work with the older 7.3 version.

Pls reply urgently!

Hello!

Let me explain which options you have:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

3. Mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

If you want a responsive version for your mobile version, then you should uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin which has its own templates and your responsive version will appear automatically.

A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

The CSS Analyzer is our automatic tool which is very useful for the page speed and unused CSS. Please read about it because it could help you to improve your website performance.
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )

Hi,
Unfortunately, I do not know the WP Rocket plugin how need to be set because we didn’t test it, but I found this guide about it https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/106-my-site-is-broken -> https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/915-find-the-right-js-files-to-exclude-from-minification.
Also those are all the js file that contain code for mobile menu:
-> wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/assets/js/js_files_for_front.min.js
-> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js
-> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js
-> wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/js/tagdiv-theme.min.js
-> wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/js/tagdiv-theme.js
If you are using a the responsive version of standard pack is use a file, for cloud, a different one, for mobile theme another one and so on.
I hope this will help you!

Hi bilecikdostlari,
Indeed to optimize the website is not quite easy, we also use a few plugins for this (Autoptimize, Download
EWWW Image Optimizer, WP Super cache, CSS Analyzer from Newspaper theme), we use plugins cache, optimize plugins for images and so on.
Also for mobile version now we use the mobile page/template, but some users still prefer the mobile theme plugin. Both of theme provide better results then the responsive version.
Thank you!

Hello!

If you do not want Mobile theme, you can uninstall it.

If you want to disable the Mobile theme on a post, you can edit the post normally and you have this option: https://www.screencast.com/t/chOh5EIIN

Thank you!

Hello!

You have the responsive version of your desktop which is looking similar as desktop. If you do not like it then let me explain which options you have:
1. Responsive version(actual version): A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

3. Mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

If you want a responsive version for your mobile version, then you should uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin which has its own templates and your responsive version will appear automatically.

Hello!

The mobile theme plugin has the advantages for page speed and optimization. On the other hand it offers almost no customization.

From what I have personally seen I would choose the mobile templates version because the AMP future is not so bright, Google will no longer take AMP in consideration that much.

Here you can see a video guide from our team where you can see the differences: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY&t=9s

Thank you!

Here’s an example

Is there a way I can try to fix the issue? Thanks

Thanks…… Please advise the pros & cons of the two options – “with your mobile theme plugin” vs. “without your mobile theme plugin”

Hello!

Have you installed the Mobile theme plugin for this? If you want to have the same layout you can either use a mobile template or responsive version. Find out more about each option in our video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY&t

Thank you!

I could not install any mobile theme, another problem is that the menu created in the mobile theme does not work and I could not run it at all. And so I was deprived of using the mobile feature of the theme. But using mobile theme is very important for speed performance, desktop can work perfectly but mobile theme
may not work as well.

Hi SocietyN, our theme has a responsive version, and the mobile plugin and page are only suggestion to have better performance or a different content, so using our theme you can choose between three options for mobile:
1. Responsive version, this is by default when you install the theme and you do not use mobile page or mobile theme plugin.
2. Mobile page/template this allows you to create with tagDiv Composer and cloud a different layout and set different elements for mobile and iPad/tablet and it will overwrite the responsive version.
3. Mobile theme plugin, this is a light theme version for mobile that will overwrite the mobile page and responsive version if enabled.
So when you have a mobile page/template this will be used instead of a responsive version, but if you also have the mobile theme enabled, this one will override both of them.
How to combine them? Yes, this can be possible, for example the mobile page/template will apply only on that page or cloud template that is assigned. But what to do if you want to use a mobile theme plugin too? If you use mobile theme, in Gutenberg editor it is an option to disable the mobile theme in current post/page, if you use the option, then it will be use the mobile page/template (if is assigned) or the responsive version.
So in your case you can disable the mobile theme on the homepage -> https://i.imgur.com/NX57q4t.png or if you do not want it at all, disable the plugin or use it only for amp -> https://i.imgur.com/Grlz5Ee.png.
Here is also a video that explains all those -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Hope this will help you!

Hi Umut, if you are using the mobile theme and amp, then it will be use the mobile theme version of mobile, or for mobile + amp or only for amp.
Now about ads, if those are amp ads -> https://i.imgur.com/iFxAfYW.png, then yes, those will be display only when you set the mobile theme + amp or amp option, if is on mobile then is not display the amp version, therefore, the amp ads will not be display. If you use standard ads set in mobile ads -> https://i.imgur.com/NtQS9Mz.png, then those should be display for both mobile and amp version.
If there are still some problems, please provide some screenshots with your settings for mobile ads.
Thank you!

Hi,
I see that for mobile you are using the mobile theme plugin, for this this mobile plugin, there is no option to add the social counter, it will display only the socials in menu -> https://i.imgur.com/3PBNjWG.png, to have the social counter, you need to use the responsive version or the mobile page.
I hope this will help you!

Calin

Hi,
First, I want to make sure that I was able to inform you of all info about the mobile versions that our theme can have.
1. Responsive version, this is by default when you install the theme and you do not use mobile page or mobile theme plugin.
2. Mobile page/template this allows you to create with tagDiv Composer and cloud a different layout and set different elements for mobile and iPad/tablet and it will overwrite the responsive version.
Also if you deleted the mobile page, please make sure that you first un-unsigned from your homepage, if you didn’t do it, make a new mobile page, then just select no mobile page, after that you can delete the new mobile page.
Thank you!

Hi,
I am using a newspaper pro theme for my website, everything was fine until I made a mobile home page, for some reason I had to reverse the changes and deleted the mobile home page. now the regular home page is not showing any changes on mobile but works great on desktop. I want it to look the same on desktop and mobile. I don’t want to have a different home page for mobile and desktop.
Any help will be appreciated.
