Hi, I have a problem when putting tweets to posts, it’s working on desktop, but on mobile theme very often tweets don’t load and there is only text version like here: https://szostygracz.pl/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Screenshot_2018-10-09-13-32-50.jpg
But not always, sometimes it’s working: https://szostygracz.pl/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Screenshot_2018-10-09-13-33-31.jpg
I don’t know why and how to fix it. Before installing Newspaper theme I didn’t have such problem. Can somebody help me?
Hi,
You get this error because you build that page with a composer, and the shortcodes aren’t recognized in theme mobile; and yes the best way is to deactivate the mobile plugin..
Thanks.
Hi,
I think you have mobile theme activated, if is so you need to add in page, at the bottom of it the content for mobile ( https://www.screencast.com/t/eyqyjVNW ).
If is not so please provide some more information, and some url for the page with this problems.
Thank you.
Hi,
The top menu is not supposed to display on mobile, it will be hidden. However it could be made to appear if necessary, try this code
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Z93oGw3pqs0
Enter it in Theme panel->Custom code->CSS section if you decide to use it
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu-full,
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;
text-align:center ;
}
.menu-top-container {
margin-right: 0;
}}
Let me know if you have more questions, I will try to help you.
Thanks

Hi,
From what I can see AMP is not activated for your posts. You simply have to install the plugin and activate it, to test add /amp at the end of the URL of a post page. The posts should look like this
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_crypto/td-post-ripple-ceo-and-ethereum-co-founder-bash-ico-industry/amp/
There is no menu currently for the AMP version, this and the design is inspired by the Yoast SEO website
– https://yoast.com/social-media-optimization-with-yoast-seo/amp/
The header logo will be the one you set for mobile in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/sk3sDiyVW
If the logo is blurry test with a different image format and sizes, until a good result is found.
Ad codes for AMP will have to be entered in the dedicated AMP section, be sure to use the proper codes, for example for Adsense
– https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7183212?hl=en
– https://www.screencast.com/t/vc3VzKSIEHTi
AMP will work properly for pages created with the default WordPress editor if you want to use it for pages, not with page builder content. The main purpose of AMP is speed, not loading heavy pages with blocks and grids.
Of course our plugin is optional, you can use other AMP plugins if needed. We will try however to improve it and add more options for it in future updates. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hello tmaghrebt,
Yes, you should disable at the moment, the Mobile Theme plugin and check how it works without it. Also, remove all of the untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello mirsva,
If you want to the same layout of your pages on mobile devices, you should not use the Mobile Theme plugin. If you disable this, the theme will automatically be switched to the general responsive layout. If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
Right, I think you misunderstand me. I’m saying AMP is good. But AMP is the only reason to have a “mobile website”. There is no need for Newspaper to have a separate mobile theme because it is a responsive theme. Because it’s responsive, it works on mobile sites. So I’m suggesting instead to just add a conditional statement to show an alternative menu on smaller devices 🙂
I did what you said , it’s true that the error code has gone but I still have the same problem, when accessing the site from a mobile , it changes the theme to mobile theme on the desktop.
should I deactivate mobile plugin ?
thx
Hello,
Please deactivate and delete all of the theme plugins (the ones starting with TD) and install them again from the latest theme package you download from Envato.
The plugins must be updated as well. I saw that you are using the Mobile Theme. So, please check the Mobile Editor and please remove all the code from there, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The mobile theme front page will display a top grid which will show posts that you include in the Featured category
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
At the bottom there will be a paginated section displaying all your latest posts, sorted by publish date. There are no settings that would allow you to exclude a category from there.
You could try the solution from this topic if that is what you want to do
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/latest-article-mobil-theme/
Thanks
Hello,
I newly installed theme. Also installed tagDiv Mobile Theme. Imported completely theme “Newspaper”.
In result I have mobile main page differences with compare of your demo:
my: http://www.fintechtobank.com (like described here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/)
yours: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ (same as PC main page)
Generally I would like to have same main page content structure as in your demo. How to setup this?
Thank you in advance
Hello,
Please turn on the mobile theme on your website so I can take a closer look at it because I saw that’s disabled at the moment. I have tested on my website and it seems to work as expected on the mobile theme.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
The content for mobile pages can only be edited in the mobile editor. When the plugin is active you will have to create two versions of each page. One with the page builder or in any way possible, and one as mentioned above. It will have to be done manually, in the page edit screen (backend).
There was an issue like you describe when the page was updated, empty spaces would appear in lists for example. This is fixed in the latest theme and composer version.
Thanks
Hello,
I have a problem with the mobile version of my site. When using the back button, it redirects to a malicious spammy webpage.
This only happens with the mobile site, and not the desktop version. Numerous people have checked the issue, and it happens consistently for every user.
I’ve been trying to find the problem, and my server hosts checked the database and found it to be clean.
They then just sent me this message, suggesting that the problem is somewhere in the newspaper theme files:
“Hello again,
Thank you for providing the credentials. I properly cleared the WP Rocket cache and installed one of the WordPress core themes, “Twenty Seventeen”. I activated this and I found that the site no longer redirected on mobile. After switching back to the Newspaper theme, the redirect came back. This suggests that the problem is part of the Newspaper theme. I am unfamiliar with this theme, but I would recommend removing the theme and reinstalling it from a known clean copy if possible. Additionally, I recommend your developer review the theme files for any obfuscated content or functions that would be causing the redirection.”
Please can you help? Have you heard of this kind of redirect problem before?
Thanks
Im using the mobile plugin for the theme and would like to know how I can increase the font size to at least 16 for Mobile post content.
Since we have a responsive theme in Newspaper plus other fantastic AMP plugins, why is there a need for a separate mobile plugin? Is it only related to page speed? That shouldn’t be an issue so much anymore.
5 years ago there would have been a need for a separate mobile plugin, but this Newspaper theme needs no extra theme to worry about. It is a responsive theme. Instead, development should go into a conditional statement to show one menu over another when certain screen sizes are used.
Why doesn’t TagDiv developer use the wp_is_mobile() function to easily and quickly show one menu over another? Here is more info: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_is_mobile
Can use code like this?
<?php
if(wp_is_mobile()) {
echo MOBILE MENU ;
} else {
echo DESKTOP/NORMAL MENU;
}
?>
That can only be achieved by using the mobile theme https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/. You can create a different menu and assign it to the mobile theme from Appearance>Menus section.
I have two categories “English and Telugu” When I activating Mobile theme it displaying English and Telugu categories news, But I want to display only English Category news in front page how can I do this…..
My logo shows on laptop and desktop devices in the header on the home page. But when I view it on a mobile device, it still shows the sample “Lifestyle Magazine” logo that came with the theme. How can I change that? Thanks so much.
This is the site: mtb-vco.com. At the moment I’ve disabled the mobile theme.
Hello, I’ve attivated the tagdiv mobile theme but at the bottom of articles doesn’t appear the Facebook like button, despite I’ve attivated this button on theme panel and it appears in desktop theme.
