Hi,

The demo comes with predefined dummy content that you can replace (not edit) with you own content
https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/ when you should decide to uninstall or change the demo all the dummy content will be removed, leaving the website as it was previously.
You have to create your own menu structure – https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
categories – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-category-settings-work/ and posts – https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/
Then you can assign these categories and posts to the elements in the page structure
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
The Politics demo uses header style 11 and a text logo – https://www.screencast.com/t/ds0nKRVMTD you have the option to make the menu sticky in theme panel – https://www.screencast.com/t/D5vgadKOdL and use the mobile logo on the sticky menu – https://www.screencast.com/t/ucmyzu6mp
The Fashion demo uses Header style 10 and a normal image logo – https://www.screencast.com/t/Ll5BE10G18uh that can be displayed on the menu when sticky.
Please let me know if I can be of further help, or you need any clarifications.

Thanks

Not sure if this applies but when viewing the search on mobile, i.e. clicking on the search icon at the top right in my mobile, I red gradient background appears.
How do I change this?

I’ve been to background and theme colors (also for Mobile plugin) and still could not figure this out.

Please advise.

Hi,

Try this code, you must enter it in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom Css
https://www.screencast.com/t/gvD0rAzi

body {
background-color: white;
}

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry but our theme does not have such a feature. It can be done from the mobile browser though. Each browser has a request desktop version button.
Here is an example from chrome: https://www.screencast.com/t/jtlS1YVK6Cl
It is up to each user to request the version of the site he/she wants.

Thank you!

Hello,

Unfortunately this solution will not work on the mobile theme plugin, sorry. We have no solution for the mobile theme. If you need autoplay on mobile devices you will have to use the standard responsive version of the theme.

Thanks.

Hi,

Unfortunately I can not give you a definite solution for this. This is the way the theme was designed, and if it would be easy as to just change a line of code I would be more then happy to help you. But as I said it requires major changes to change the breaking point for the mobile menu to display, and no solution was provided on this forum regarding this as a reference point. Please keep in mind that this could be a theme option in a future update, but I can not say for sure if or when this will happen. I am sorry that I could not provide you with a solution in this matter.

Thank you for understanding!

Note: I disabled the “Mobile theme” plugin because I would rather the mobile version of the website be based on responsive web design.
The website with issues:

wuche.gg

Issues with responsive web on mobile (Android, but presumably iOS as well)

1. On the front page Big Grids, the offset posts feature works on desktop browsers but does not work on mobile browsers. All Big Grids are set to sort by -Latest-.

2. I’m using custom css for the module title fonts on Big Grid Full 1 & 2 because the option to change it via module on Theme Fonts isn’t implemented yet.

.td_block_big_grid_fl_1 .td-module-title a{
font-family: ‘Source Sans Pro’, sans-serif;
font-weight: 600;
font-size: 42px;
line-height: 44px;
}
.td_block_big_grid_fl_2 .td-module-title a{
font-family: ‘Source Sans Pro’, sans-serif;
font-weight: 600;
font-size: 26px;
line-height: 28px;
}

It works perfectly, but I want it to be responsive as well and downsize the font when below a certain width. So I added this code also to Big Grid Full 1 just to test out:

@media
(max-width: 767px) {
.td_block_big_grid_fl_1 .td-module-title a{
font-size:30px!important
} }

@media
(max-width: 767px) {
.td_block_big_grid_fl_1 .td-module-title a{
line-height:32px!important
} }

And while it works this works perfectly on desktop, it does not work on mobile.

3. I deleted/changed the background image for mobile menu / search background, but it still persists.

Whenever I make an update, I clear the cache on Google Chrome on my Android phone. I also empty the cache via WordPress, and I also have disabled the WP Super Cache plugin just to triple check.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please and thank you!

Hello!
Unfortunately you missed my one question to answer. That is –
1.Is it possible to add 10 videos in carousel mentioning singers name below for navigation and lyrics in text in a single post? How can I do this?

In my friend’s newspaper theme HTML editor is enable for Category description. For mine there is only text. How can I enable HTML editor for Category description?

In mobile template of your site http://www.tagdiv.com the menu in the left hand side and search bar is small with out any background. How can I do this for my mobile template like yours?

Thank you!

It sure would be nice to be able to override the mobile theme templates in a child theme f.x. or to have the option to do so in the accompanying plugin. I really like the mobile theme but small changes I need in the single post template (members only articles) are really complicating working with it, I have already made the changes in the main mobile theme files but now an update would break/revert my changes.

Hi,

Most theme switch to mobile menu on tablet vertical (or under 800px), or offer the choice

Thank you.

Hi,

The mobile theme was designed for performance and speed. That is why it comes with it’s own templates for page, post, category, etc. There is no option to change the default post template when using the mobile theme. If you want to display the same content available on desktop on mobile devices, you can choose not to use the mobile theme plugin, and due to the theme’s responsive design the pages will be automatically resized to different screen sizes.
More information about the mobile theme here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry but the mobile theme will not support complex elements such as infinite loading as the mobile theme does not use visual composer and the functionality is only added through the page builder.
If order to have infinite loading on posts, you will have to use the standard responsive version of the theme.

Thank you!

Hi,

If you do not have access to make these modifications, you could wait for the plugin to receive an update that would hopefully fix this issue. Or you can just choose not to use the mobile plugin for the moment if it does not work properly in this situation, because the design of the theme is fully responsive and adapts to every device screen size accordingly.

Thanks

Hello, I really love this theme, it look amazing. Can you please help me by telling me what should I optimize and how in order to make it load decently?? At this time it loads pretty slowly, especially on mobile. Google speed test gives me only 40/100 when running tests. With the last theme I was having 85%.

I really don’t want to throw this theme away because of performance, i really like it 🙁

Is there any way around this? Any way to make it possible to have infinite load on the mobile theme? Or to specify a number greater than what is currently available?

Hi,

Unfortunately a text logo will not be displayed on mobile, so in the absence of a logo image you must upload a different logo for the mobile theme, in the Logo for mobile section in theme panel –
https://www.screencast.com/t/Brc1EXXHx More information here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/
The Big grid that displays on mobile is supposed to show featured posts, so please make sure you have posts in that category. Everything you need to know about the mobile theme is available here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and you can choose to use it on all the website or not, there is no option to have it only for some parts of the site.
Please note that the theme is testes and works properly, if your website is slow there are multiple factors that can affect the speed, like plugins for example or modifications to the theme files. If you want to test this, please disable all your plugins except the ones bundled with the theme, remove any modifications made if there are any, clear any caching installed then check the results. You can also use the links provided above to make the site faster.
You can see here for example the time the website spends to load resources
https://www.screencast.com/t/C1dzNcjIst
And that can only be caused by the factors mentioned.

Thanks

Sorry the problem is still there. The problem is caused by WP Super Cache. For some reason the mobile theme is not working correclty.

If I disable WP Super Cache, the mobile theme works ok.

Here are my settings:

Any suggestions?

Thanks, there seems to be some conflict with some plugin. Now it’s working. But i have a few more issues.

I dont see the logo nor the featured posts.

Also the various pages like about are not working. I saw that they don’t work. Is there a way that these use the normal responsive site but for homepage,posts,category pages the mobile theme is used? Newspaper really makes the website very slow and sluggish and i have seen my bounce rate increase after changing to this theme.

Hello neotics,

I have checked on my site and the mobile theme seems to work as expected. I suggest you making a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,

There is no simple way of adding new ad spots. It can only be done by hard-coding and it is no easy task.
If you do not want to use the mobile theme plugin simply disable it as this guide suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hi,

Please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it, the menu should display in every situation, depending on the device. This is how the demo looks on an iPad in portrait – https://www.screencast.com/t/iamUi5zAQ and in landscape – https://www.screencast.com/t/NlltWQrYzQ0
To achieve something as to display the mobile menu in this situation it would require probably major changes to the theme files and media queries and a lot of hard work changing the design of the theme. This feature applies in certain situations based on the screen size, and there are a lot of automatic functions that are involved in the process.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no option at the moment to change the width of the theme. This kind of modification can only be done with custom code – https://www.screencast.com/t/NAJmeIXPjWqt modifying the theme files directly or through a child themehttps://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Please note that if you choose to use the mobile theme plugin, the sidebar set on desktop will not be displayed on mobilehttps://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ but if you are not, the sidebar will be displayed after the article in the post page.
Maybe some options for changing the width of the theme will be made available in future updates, but I can not say for sure if or when this will happen. The theme is in a continuous development process, and each update is meant to improve it and we take in account our users requests.

Thank you for understanding!
