Hi,
I’ve installed Newsletter template and minimize all options on theme, plugins and more
to get a website faster and a good score on Pagespeed,
but it is not good.
65/100 on mobile speed – 98/100 user experience
80/100 on desktop
I have a cloud server dedicated very very fast.
If you can chat or talk on Skype, I can send you my admin username and password on WordPress so you can check it and other plugins.
Waiting your reply.
Hello there,
I’ve been having some difficulties with the mobile version after the update, I’ve searched and tried many suggestions but no luck.
I have
Wordpress: 4.6.1
Newspaper 7.4 [installed via envato toolkit]
Visual comp: 4.12.1 [manual install]
Social counter: 4.1 [manual install]
Slide rev: 5.2.5.1 [manual install]
Speed booster: 4.5 [activated, however, in theme panel system status it say’s it’s deactivated due to a number of other plugins]
Currently my website is in the default mobile version. When I install the latest mobile plugin the site is unusable and you can only see the following error message.
wp booster error:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a
component with the ID: td_remote_cache is not
set.
wp booster error:
Missing parameter: ‘file’
Fatal error : Class ‘td_remote_cache’ not found
in /home/theindianfeed303/public_html/wp-
content/plugins/td-social-counter/
td_social_api.php on line 48
If I deactivate and delete the booster plugin, but leave the mobile plugin installed, I still have the same error message.
If I install the booster but delete the mobile plugin, then the mobile website works by default style.
So, this lets me know it’s the mobile plugin.
From the forums I found a similar problem and the temporary solution was to install mobile plugin v1. When I use install this plugin, my website shows the mobile version! however, it will not load any menus on the drop down. So I have removed all and gone for default but now I can’t change the colours etc.
Any suggestions welcome
Hello,
I downloaded the version of the mobile theme plugin which is compatible with Yoast SEO plugin. I was able to install the plugin successfully. However, when I try to activate it, I receive the following error message:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Mobile_Detect in [file path] on line 29”
Please advise.
Regards,
Ezenwa
Yes, the plugins section changed and we removed the mobile theme link because people kept installing it without knowing that it is and what it does. We needed to make sure people read the docs first before installing the plugin.
As for the plugin itself, it is under the main archive. Please download the theme again as you might have removed it by mistake. download again and check the main plugins folder like so: http://screencast.com/t/PAfxLYe0wG0d
I have downloaded the theme archive again and the plugin is there inside the package. You are still looking in the wrong place. Please search in themeforest-5489609-newspaper.zip>plugins-> not in Newspaper.zip->plugins

Hello wowa1986,
1)The Editor Pick is a simple block style 7 which is set it by Featured category. You will not bring any results because you do not have any posts in your Featured category. If you want to change the structure of this block, please notice that you have to edit the core file from here -> http://screencast.com/t/nbhSshOO
2)The mobile theme is just a simple plugin. If you want to disable this, you can do this from Plugins area.
3)Please ensure that you have followed all the steps which are presented in our tutorial, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hello gzmtrn88,
Unfortunately, I do not exactly understand what you mean. I have inspected your website on mobile mode and I noticed that you are not using the mobile theme. You use just the general responsive mobile version which displays the similar layout like on the desktop. Also, please notice that we have a mobile theme feature, available in our packet which can be installed like a plugin -> Mobile Theme plugin. For more information about mobile theme, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Hope this helps!
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about what you want to achieve so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for the message!
Hi
If you’re using mobile theme plugin you need to deactivate the login widget from theme panel > mobile theme: http://screencast.com/t/ZihRFVUf If th plugin is not active then just disable the login from header section: http://screencast.com/t/9fY13IBE
Thanks!
Hello,
Unfortunately without the mobile theme plugin there is no simple way of having a reduced version of the desktop content. You can try to use css and media queries if you know your way around css to remove certain elements, but there is no setting for this. It has to be hard-coded.
Thank you!
Correct.
It is implemented as a simple plugin like any other. Deactivate the plugin and the mobile theme will be deactivated.
Thank you!
Hello,
The mobile theme was not tested with other plugins as the main theme is. It is a different theme altogether. We are not aware of this but there could be just a specific feature of jetpack causing the issue. Try to change settings a bit in jetpack and figure out which setting affects the mobile theme as jetpack has lots of options you can tinker with.
Thank you!
Hello
My website http://www.yesasia.ru/
1. Not displayed block “Editor’s Choice” – https://pp.vk.me/c837626/v837626403/31fe/6HllC4znknw.jpg
2. How to activate “tagDiv Mobile Theme”?
3. Why does not work “SMART SIDEBAR” on the main page? It works in the post, but it does not work on the home page.
Thank you
Hello,
Unfortunately you can only have different menus if you use the mobile theme. the standard responsive version uses the same menu on desktop and mobile.
Thank you!
Hello Mijaz,
By default, the big grid which displays the posts on the mobile theme has been designed to take only the posts which are in Featured category. If you want to change this functionality, please notice that you will have to alter the code from core file like front-page.php and td_block_big_grid_mob_1.php, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/4Cw7HvZfmD Please notice that is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take here, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
HI
We didn’t made any decision yet and for the moment we don’t plan do develop a mobile theme for Newsmag.
Thanks!
Hi,
If I look at my website on a desktop, then there is NOWHERE on my screen a way to Sign in. This is FINE,because that is what I want.
Now if I make my screen small enough so mobile kicks in (or if I watch on my phone) then I can get to the menu by using the hamburger icon (the 3 horizontal lines 😉 )
If I do that, then I see on top of my screen a few social icons, but between these icons and my actual MENU there is an avatar picture and the Sign in link.
This is something I certainly don’t want. Nobody has to login to my site anytime.
In the theme panel – top bar settings I disabled the top bar and also the “show sign in/join” option, but still this “sign in” link appears.
How can I solve this please ?
It appears that its difficult to setup one one site layout that is satisfying when viewed on both standard monitor and mobile. So I understand the mobile theme is an option.
-
Is it possible to turn off the Newspaper-Magazine themes default effort to transform the standard site into a responsive version?
That is, to have the complete site page (without mobile plugin) displayed on mobile screens as simply a scaled down version of the standard layout for large monitors? The ‘pre-responsive’ viewing of a website.
I have this option with a framework theme and the mini display of the complete web page works fine. One simply zooms in to select the menu or view areas of the page.(Please see; http://www.kaufmanndesign.com)
We are on newspaper v7.4 with latest visual composer and later mobile theme activated….
can we do any thing for Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
Thank you for your respond. Now I understand 🙂
So, to disable the mobile theme, I simply deactivate the mobile plugin, correct?
The visual composers backend editor appears on the screen of my mobile homepage(I use the mobile plugin) , right after the 3 big featured post.It disappears when I deactivate Jetpack, How do I solve that ? Beacuse I need both the Jetpack and the newspaper mobile plugin
Hello
i want to disable
This: “top grid – displays 3 featured posts (posts included in the Featured category)”
How to do this?
Hello,
It is possible to set all post on mobile theme such as the first three?

Thanks.
You can load any ad format into AMP as long as mobile friendly. We do it all the time …. simple function filter hooked into footer for AMP, you can load any shortcode in place.
In any case, again – not trying to contradict you in any way. I was just posting a different “vote” on the subject, as I personally would prefer we not get more code bloat.
Why not use Newspaper if you need the mobile theme ?
Sorry, not trying to be a pain. We’re both long time users ’round here. 🙂
Not huge fan of AMP, personally, but we’re learning to live with it since we do want AMP stuff ‘featured’ in mobile, much like we are in midst of converting all our sites not already done, to https. Since Google will shamelessly pump up mobile + https + amp content over sites not using that.
The thing is…I don’t have Google Adsense (and can’t go back) and I think I’m not the only one. And AMP has a limited amount of accepted advertisers. That’s why I (and probably a few others) need a fast mobile theme, but not AMP. 🙂
AMP working well for us, as are things like Apple News, and the responsive design of theme already super fast on mobile, so in our case we’re good. Was not trying to contradict your need, just voicing an opinion I’d rather not see this theme become as “over-built” as Newspaper theme, personally.
We would prefer not having mobile theme for Newsmag, personally, as adds complexity to theme.
Also with responsive design already working very well for mobile with 100UX score for GPS, we are happy.
Further, with massive rollout of /AMP/ finally happening for all sites and not just news portals, separate mobile theme less needed for all those in the Googleverse.
This is just my opinion/vote.
Does not belittle or denigrate any other opinion on this topic.
