Hi,

The mobile theme plugin is optional, if it is not activated the default responsive version will be shown. When active, you will have to create 2 page versions, one for desktop with the composer and one with the mobile editor
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The pages will be saved once built and published or saved as drafts. You can deactivate then mobile plugin safely, there will be no problem in terms of losing page content. Then the same content form desktop will be served on mobile devices (responsive version).

Thanks

@allenwinkler As I mentioned above, the mobile menu is not supposed to display on desktop. There is no design for it on desktop, it will have to be created custom. You will have to modify it greatly for something like that, if even possible.

Hi,

with 8.7.2 update (plugin too) article inline ads on amps do not perform well.

ProblemS:

1) When there is a video as featured image, the number of parameters skips.

2) Inline ads overlap with bottom ads if there are few paragraphs
(in the mobile theme there is a function that avoids overlapping).

How to solve?

Thanks

Hi,

Indeed pages built with any composer will not be displayed on AMP pages. Amp pages are supposed to be fast loading pages which present the content quickly, not containing blocks and grids. Pages built with the default WordPress editor will be displayed on AMP
https://www.screencast.com/t/42Qq9ta9pbY

The mobile theme as well is optimized for speed. You will have to create 2 versions for each page, one with the composer for desktop, and one with the mobile editor for mobile
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The mobile theme will not display pages built with the composer, the default responsive version already does that. There would be no point to the plugin if it would do the same thing.

Both the mobile theme and AMP can be installed at the same time if needed. The posts will be served in AMP, and the rest of the website with the mobile theme in that case. AMP content will be served to users only through Google.

Thanks

Hi,

First of all thanks for developing the AMP plugin as it was needed from Google and SEO perspective. Appreciate the work done by the team.

Here are two quick things which can make it better – enable the option to add a separate logo other than the mobile theme, people can customize the alignment the way they want to.

Secondly, if we can specify the number of related posts we want to show that will be an added advantage.

Thanks Once agian,

Hi,

After you have installed the plugin and followed the recommended settings, today I received this email from Google,

“Requested that Google validated to your troubleshooting of Accelerated Mobile Pages on the site http://X, more specifically, the pages affected by the task “The inline ‘ style ‘ attribute is not allowed in AMP documents, use ‘ style amp-custom tag instead”. However, we found that some pages continue to be affected by this problem.
As part of the progress of the validation, we found that 4 pages on your site are not affected by this problem.
To review the complete details of the progress of the validation and to know how to fix the remaining pages, follow this link.”

A setting like that is not available, but you could try something else. Rows can be hidden, there is an option for that. So you could for example create 2 rows, each with the layout you want. Hide one for mobile while displaying it on desktop and the other way around

Hi guys!

As I’ve read, the TagDiv Composer does not work with Mobile Theme and AMP Pages.

I’ve tested it with the Mobile Theme and on a smartphone the pages with TagDiv Composer were simply blank. So basically people who use the composer on other pages than the homepage can’t use the Mobile Theme nor the AMP Plug-in, which is pretty sad.

So is there a possibility of implementing the following in the future:

NO COMPOSER USED > Page shown as AMP or Mobile Theme (depending with Plug-Ins are installed)
COMPOSER USED > Page shown is the one from the theme shown in responsive mode (and the AMP and Mobile Theme are automatically deactivated in this case)

I guess this pretty difficult to code/implement but I am curious if something like that is planned in the future?

Best,
Roman

When i try and send a link of my main home page via a mobile phone messenger service it shows the site under maintenance sign
I went online 4 days ago and it is still showing.

Previous to this, when i was building the site and went online to check, It showed the normal image, ie the one it is supposed to do.
I have now deleted the maintenance plugin and it still shows.

There is clearly some code that is not right in my header.
There are so many permutations in this area i do not want to mess around with the code in this section.
Do you have any suggestions ?

I have a row divided into 4 columns on desktop. Is there any option to make one row divided to four columns on desktop and two columns on mobile view? I would like to put two logos in a row on mobile and four on desktop. Please look at the screenshoot. How we can create this using builder?

You can add icons in the menus like this
https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-add-icons-in-menu/

A border could be added with custom code, since the default theme mobile menu does not have this setting
https://www.screencast.com/t/TevZPwFGfvt

.td-mobile-main-menu .menu-item {
border-bottom: 1px solid black;
}

This is a guide mentioning how the browser inspector can be used to create custom code, for various theme customization
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
This code can then be entered in the theme dedicated custom code sections in the theme panel.

Hi,

The AMP plugin does not seem to work.
I have disabled the plug-in for the mobile theme but it does not help.

I also removed the cash from the website. Can you help me?

Can you tell me what specifically this addresses? I have 8.7.1 running. I deleted the AMP plugin and am using Automatica AMP and Accelerated AMP for WP and Yoast Glue and have it all working, yet I still find this solution rather frustrating. The vertical scroll on this AMP for WP implementation is choppy and sloppy in that it moves all over the screen of the mobile phone, but it is the only AMP solution I have found robust enough and that works.

I installed 8.7.1 thinking that TagDiv AMP would be fully integrated, but found it lacking. I finally got a logo onto the header, but it would never center and I could not get the color to adjust. I then attempted to install AMP for WP on top and it completely blew out the site. I deleted it from the Plugin folder and got the site back.

In summary, the 8.7.1 TagDiv AMP implementation I interacted with was weak at best. I punted. I have 8.7.1 installed, but not running any other plug ins and if this 8.7.2 upgrade does not provide some awesome configuration capabilities, I will just stay right where I am at until a release occurs that provides a robust AMP configurator implementation.

With regards,

MOKANA

It could be enabled if necessary with a code, but only when the mobile theme plugin is deactivated. Try the solution from this topic and see if it works for you
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/top-bar-with-esencial-links/
If it does not, please provide a link to your website and we will try a different one.

Hi,

The mobile homepage will display a top grid containing three featured posts, then a latest articles section. The top grid will only displayed posts that are included in the Featured category, so make sure you have added posts to it
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
More about the mobile theme plugin functionality here

Thanks simion

yes it is the feature in your first screencast that is not working. i have set toggles to not display on mobile (where they are video ads – because google will not show them). but they are still appearing – they just appear as a grey box as google will not display video ads.
i am pretty confident with the advert features and settings, but this device toggle is not working.

1/2. I believe you have set a white background color and white icon color in the mobile theme settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/Bsfww9rG
If you want a white menu background color, change the icon colors to a different color so they will be visible.

3. You could reduce the mobile menu modal with custom code, there is no setting specific for that. There is a solution in this topic if you want to try
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/use-mobile-top-bar-and-menu-on-all-page-sizes/

In the current version the ad disable option is working, I couldn’t say if that was an issue in version 8, I don’t remember exactly. There shouldn’t have been any problems. The ads can be disabled in the theme panel per device, that option should work as intended
https://www.screencast.com/t/akSmi8c7xwZ
The theme will automatically adjust the ads and display desktop ads and ads for mobile devices.
Those options are helpful for Adsense ads, if other ads are used a different method is available
https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
If you use the mobile theme plugin, this has options to use different ad codes.
