Our mobile version of the site keeps changing to a random look. Not sure why. There are two photos of 1) what the site should look like (the white background) and 2) what the site is sometimes looking like for users (the dark background). I can send these if attachments are enabled.

Please let us know how to ensure the black background version of the site does NOT appear for users.

Hi,

The social icons from the mobile menu come from the Theme Panel -> Social/Apis -> Social Networks -> https://i.imgur.com/kKYIECB.png. Remove/edit them as needed.

Thank you!

Hello,

Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.

Thank you!

Hi,

This usually happens with cache plugins. If the cache plugin does not have mobile support, the mobile theme version can be delivered instead.
Also, please let me know what plugin you use for the cache now.

Thank you!

Hello,

Mobile theme was causing many issues for us as it was not working correctly with our caching and Cloudflare.

Would like to ask if using mobile page builder is working differently or should we expect same behaviour as with mobile theme plugin?

Thank you

We are running in transitional mode and in AMP have posts and a custom post type advisor_post set as the content types and single posts as the templates. Posts work fine.

However with advisor posts, if I add amp or ?amp=1 to the url, the post reverts to the normal version. If I set Redirect mobile visitors to AMP, then I just get a blank screen when viewed on mobile.

How do I get a custom post type to display using AMP.?

Hello,
Currently the mobile version of my website does not look ok at all – Homepage, categories, single post…
Pages are not shown at all (Example: https://tretavazrast.com/cl240423/за-рекламодатели/).
When I edit mobile view with TagDiv from frontend it looks ok.

I do not use custom mobile templates.
Installed and activated: tagDiv mobile theme, Official AMP for WP, WP Super Cache
USE MOBILE THEME FOR: Mobile
I have deactivated all non tagDiv plugins, nothing changed.

I have created a clone for my site for testing purposes: https://tretavazrast.com/cl240423

Please advise.

Hello Christiane!

Did you choose the mobile menu there? The social icons from the mobile menu are coming from the Theme Panel -> Social/Apis -> Social Networks -> https://i.imgur.com/kKYIECB.png remove/edit them after your needs.
Or you can delete that element and create a fully customizable page there using the modal popup: https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/

Thank you!

I keep trying to save theme panel settings but they revert back. I wanted to turn off general model image on mobile but the setting won’t save. I save it and then refresh the page and it is turned back on.

We use Mobile theme for Mobile + AMP. However when putting it to just Mobile. It is not showing Post settings – Under Mobile themes tab.

Do I have to deactivate the AMP plugin as well?

Hi Wriper, normally the js for the mobile menu should be working without problems after the html and css from the page are loaded and I see that now it’s take 2-3 seconds to load it and sometimes it can take longer and only after that the mobile menu is displaying (after all resource are loaded). I see that you have some extra resources, some ads and google code, can you please remove theme for a test to see if the problem you have is resolved? If will be then those codes should be loading only after all the page is ready and not before.
Thank you!

Hi kasirga, “What ever I choose Mobile, AMP or Mobile+AMP it always shows AMP site on mobile devices. I can use mobile theme only by deactivating AMP plugin. I need to use mobile theme, not AMP theme.” – if you are using the amp version please make sure this option is disabled – https://i.imgur.com/BZ5LOyu.png
Also, when tagDiv mobile theme plugin is used you’ll also need to use a cache plugin that has mobile cache support, to can deliver a different cache for mobile users and desktop users.
Thank you!

Hi there, I’m currently using the Blockchain theme for my website. However, I’ve encountered a significant bug with this theme on mobile browsers. When loading the homepage on mobile devices (I’ve tested on various browsers on both Android and iPhone), the first row appears beneath the header. I’ve attempted several methods to resolve this issue, but… You can also observe the same problem on your demo website at https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_blockchain_pro/. I hope you’ll address this problem promptly.

Any workaround, should we disable the mobile theme then?

As different dates is not What any Search engine and definitely not what Google wants.

Hi,

Unfortunately, for the mobile theme/AMP plugin, the post cannot display the modified date.

Thank you!

Hi, Is there a way to show Article updated Date and Time in the Mobile theme, the same way as it can be shown in desktop theme?

As this is a problem, when you update an article the last updated date is shown on desktop and on mobile it still shows the first published date.

This will confuse the SEO crawler.

I have created my website with this theme, but when sharing individual posts to WhatsApp, etc, that directly opens the mobile theme, how to disable that?

I heard the same thing about Google retiring AMP. Thank you for confirming this. I agree it’s not really necessary, as back in the day when themes were less responsive to mobile.

The mobile-only theme of my news paper theme sometimes does not work on mobile devices, so the mobile theme is turned off only on some article pages, not on all pages.

Why is this happening?

Sometimes, there is a tendency for things to get better when you remove the cache, but it doesn’t completely solve the problem.

Hi Bettina, many thanks for your support,
I have 3 web sites with mobiles pages and the 3 have the same issue . The mobiles pages are not used on mobile .
Caches have been clear and no effect.
I don’t use CDN
Rocket loader not used
So what is the root cause of this issue ?????
