Hi,
I am having trouble with the menu on Android mobile devices using Chrome. The menu opens but nothing happens when I try to click on items. This problem does not seem to happen on iOs. I’ve also tested on one Android device using Firefox and it is working as expected.

Placement in Google News based on a *lot* of factors (we have been in there with 10+ sites since the beta back in, oh, 2004?). So, they can hide news temporarily within a window of time, they can skip stories due to content (you can report a story missing if it’s in your news sitemap, not generating errors, and not running prohibited content — e.g., conflicting with AdSense rules, etc.).
Generally you can test your news sitemap, resubmit it, move to https if not already — which is now a ranking factor — as is page speed. Your desktop and mobile should both be over 90.
You can test your content is there with site:yoursite per their instructions.
But main thing is not having copycat, stale, duplicate or cloned content. Meaning, if there are 100 items in Google news about Britney Spears breaking her toe, and you’re last to party, they may skip inclusion of that item as it adds nothing to the barrage of like-content already there.
Nothing to do with theme; it’s always original content; speed; https; AMP; error-free code, etc. that impact your visibility in Google news.
And also remember you will see diff results based on browser, locale, logged in/out of Google, IP address, recent searches, etc. — there are no “static” 1,2,3 results for anything anymore.

We’re have found some code on the theme that appears to be some kind of device detection (android/ios etc). Is this feature available globally to use via javascript?
What we’re trying to do is use that device detection to write certain Ad Code sizes to the page. (We aren’t using Google AdSense but insetead are using Google DFP – Doubleclick for Publishers ).
The reason we’re doing that is because Google DFP isn’t as flexible as Google AdSense meaning that we have to define certain ad Sizes for certain theme breakpoints. For example: on desktop we show a 728×90, on tablet a 300×250 etc.
Is there any way we can easily implement this using that device detection?
Also, What mobile features does the theme bring for developers that we’re not aware?

hi, i have my adsense ads showing on desktop and use the mobile theme to set the adsense ads for mobile, but i cant get ads up on tablet in header or footer?i have one showing in tablet but if i use responsive adsense code or actually set the sizes in theme panel it doesnt work?

I’ve been looking for options for configuring caching with the Newspaper theme.
Plugin developers proposed, it does not give the normal performance. To him must be a large number of add-ons and other “manual” changes.

It also has weird edges to it, as if the UX is extending the page for the content with a weird slide from left to right, thus causing our content never be center on the screen.

If you want to have the sidebar on mobile before the post content, you will have to modify the theme files to make the sidebar come first before the post content. Unfortunately there is no setting for this and it can only be done through customization. Here is an example on how to do it:

Hi, I’ve got an optin widget in my sidebar. It works great for desktops, but in mobile devices the Widget Bar goes to the bottom and no one optins! So, I need to place the Widget Bar first in mobile responsiveness.

I am using newspaper theme and have enabled tag div mobile theme, I am also using wp super cache. When wp super cache enabled, the mobile is showing desktop theme, and when wp super cache is disabled the mobile theme is working.

We did run tests withe the official AMP plugin by automatic the wordpress developers and it runs properly with our theme. There is no need for us to create AMP implementation as there already is one created by the wordpress developers.
