Thank you for your respond. Now I understand 🙂
So, to disable the mobile theme, I simply deactivate the mobile plugin, correct?
The visual composers backend editor appears on the screen of my mobile homepage(I use the mobile plugin) , right after the 3 big featured post.It disappears when I deactivate Jetpack, How do I solve that ? Beacuse I need both the Jetpack and the newspaper mobile plugin
Hello
i want to disable
This: “top grid – displays 3 featured posts (posts included in the Featured category)”
How to do this?
Hello,
It is possible to set all post on mobile theme such as the first three?

Thanks.
You can load any ad format into AMP as long as mobile friendly. We do it all the time …. simple function filter hooked into footer for AMP, you can load any shortcode in place.
In any case, again – not trying to contradict you in any way. I was just posting a different “vote” on the subject, as I personally would prefer we not get more code bloat.
Why not use Newspaper if you need the mobile theme ?
Sorry, not trying to be a pain. We’re both long time users ’round here. 🙂
Not huge fan of AMP, personally, but we’re learning to live with it since we do want AMP stuff ‘featured’ in mobile, much like we are in midst of converting all our sites not already done, to https. Since Google will shamelessly pump up mobile + https + amp content over sites not using that.
The thing is…I don’t have Google Adsense (and can’t go back) and I think I’m not the only one. And AMP has a limited amount of accepted advertisers. That’s why I (and probably a few others) need a fast mobile theme, but not AMP. 🙂
AMP working well for us, as are things like Apple News, and the responsive design of theme already super fast on mobile, so in our case we’re good. Was not trying to contradict your need, just voicing an opinion I’d rather not see this theme become as “over-built” as Newspaper theme, personally.
We would prefer not having mobile theme for Newsmag, personally, as adds complexity to theme.
Also with responsive design already working very well for mobile with 100UX score for GPS, we are happy.
Further, with massive rollout of /AMP/ finally happening for all sites and not just news portals, separate mobile theme less needed for all those in the Googleverse.
This is just my opinion/vote.
Does not belittle or denigrate any other opinion on this topic.
Hey party people, noticed when I paste a soundcloud element into post box, it breaks the layout on ipad portrait or if you slide in the width of a desktop view to simulate (mid-size breakpoint).
I guess this is loading “SoundCloud Embed Player (api-web)” via oEMBED in WP.
<iframe width="640" height="400" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?visual=true&url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F277848294&show_artwork=true&maxwidth=640&maxheight=960"></iframe>
e.g.,

I seem to recall in 1.71 or whatever I added the pesky generic iframe fix …
embed,iframe,object{max-width: 100%;}
And this still fixes it in 3.1
Might be useful to add this to CSS in future versions, at least for mid-size mobile breakpoint. I’ve added it to my stock style.css pre/post minification for our sites, so done and done.

On unrelated note, can you believe I’m going to need a [IV] badge on here pretty soon? 🙂
Hi sorry for late response. Regarding your queries-
1. Visual composer is installed and active.
2. Newspaper v 7.3 is used
3. Dnt know version of visual composer. It was inbuilt with the theme when I purchased.
4. I am only using newspaper 7.3 theme. I believe this is mobile friendly. Not installed any other plugin related to mobile theme.
5. Tried with disabling all the plugins except visual composer, still problem remains same.
Am I missing something? ?
Thanks
Page builder elements – The “Mobile theme” is designed for users who want to optimize the page content for mobile devices or they want to display fewer / different elements on mobiles. For optimal performance we removed the page builder (Visual Composer) dependency; this means you cannot use the page builder elements for the “Mobile theme” pages.
If you want to display the same elements on both mobile and desktop, don’t use the mobile theme, the main theme is already capable of this with it’s responsive design for mobiles.
Hi,
I experience several problems with Newspaper 7.3
I couldn’t find anyway to fix them, so here I am.
First, I use Big Grid 7 from visual composer for my homepage.
Looks good on the desktop, but not appear on mobile.
Second, I use post template style #8.
The header background looks good on the desktop but not appear on mobile.
In fact, the author name falls behind the social buttons so it’s not visible to the readers.
Third, the sidebar in posts not appear on mobile.
I installed the theme on 2 different websites and they both have the same problem.
I’m using Newspaper child theme.
Thanks in advance
Hi folks,
is there any update regarding a mobile theme alá Newspaper? 🙂
Thank you!
HI
We didn’t tested Mobiloud toll and we’re not aware of its functionality in order to provide an accurate answer on this matter. If you really wan to use it then leave the mobile theme inactive if this could be a solution.
Thanks!
Catalin I do not think you understood my question. Of course the website works fine because it is using another theme. An old theme that is not mobile responsive. And I want to change that and use your theme (newspapper). But newspapper has image width 696px wide and all my images are 640px wide. There are thousand posts on this blog and I cannot change all images. So if I use your theme all images on existing posts will be smaller than the text and will not look good. Images will not be aligned with the text.
So what should I do? Can I change the width of the content? So the text would be 640px wide instead of 696 it is now?
Hi – i’ve raised this issue with the Mobiloud developers as well but they can’t seem to figure out the issue so posting here.
We use Mobiloud (www.mobiloud.com) to power our mobile app from our WordPress site. It’s a neat solution and so far worked flawlessly, however when we activate the Mobile plugin from Newspaper it stops Mobiloud working. It seems to stop any of the Mobiloud apps from being able to download posts or pages from wordpress.
Any ideas what could be causing the issue?
Thanks,
Stephan
Hello,
The mobile theme plugin is still present in the theme package but we removed the install button because lots of people installed the mobile theme without knowing what id does and the implications that arise when using the plugin. We did add a link to the documentation for the plugin that now has instructions on how to install it though: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Is it possible to use the default Mobile theme with the mobile menu? I don’t like the Mobile theme addon but without it, the menu wont work on Mobile devices.
Hi,
I just updated to Newspaper 7.4 and removed the plugins before. After the update ran through, there was no mobile theme included in the plugins folder. There was only Speed Booster, Social Counter and Visual Composer in that folder.
Where can I get the mobile theme plugin package for Newspaper 7.4 ?
Thank you in advance for your answer.
I sent all the data to the address you gave me.
I just noticed that the mobile version actually runs on phone but is not signaled whether active or not in the plug-in of the screen theme
Hello Mauro,
Unfortunately our theme does not have such an option. The mobile detect is added through css with the @media property. If you want to modify this behavior you will have to change the style.css file and modify the viewport size into the one you want, but this will be no easy task as there are many lines of code to edit. There is no easy way I can provide for this unfortunately.
Thanks.
Hello,
Please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test the mobile theme again.
If you still have issues with it, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and investigate this issue.
Thank you!
Hello gubedel,
Please pay attention because I suppose that you do not understand our mobile theme concept. For your first request, if you want to have the same Homepage Block to your mobile mode, you will not have Mobile Theme installed and the layout in mobile mode for this type of block should look like this -> http://screencast.com/t/yW1OIaZ0uT So if you want to bring those there Big Gird in Mobile mode, you should enable the Mobile Theme plugin and you should have minimum 3 posts in Featured category, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/pvS8FE2Vh If the mobile theme is active, the mobile editor can be found at the very bottom of the editor file in Visual Composer, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/dYXHEhLqmU
Also, you should reading again our documentation in this regard, because there was very good explained this concept.
Thanks for your understanding!
