Hello TagDiv,
For some reason, all my images have become low-res across Desktop and Mobile?
I am using WP Retina and Jetpack’s Photon is also active. This never used to happen before and now all of a sudden, I have very low res images.
Do you know what could be causing this?
Website: http://www.glitched.co.uk
Thanks,
Hello fliporium,
As you can see, please notice that this is the default state for out mobile theme and it does not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode. Our new mobile theme has been designed to have very basic structure, clear and faster than the normal mobile responsive which support the Visual Composer. For more information about our new feature, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
For your second request, unfortunately, I do not exactly understand what you mean. Please provide more details about this regard, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Do you have the mobile theme installed? If yes, then scroll down a bit to see the second editor. The mobile theme uses a second editor that does not use visual composer.
Let us know if this is the case. If not, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and inspect your back-end
Thanks.
Shortcodes are working on desktop. But Mobile version of the theme shows the code and because of that I can’t use shortcodes in desktop also.
Also, is there any other way I can place ads above the Next-Previous button in both Mobile and Desktop.
Hi,
1) Visual composer is there but you have to scroll down a bot as there are 2 editors now in the back-end if you chose to activate the mobile theme. The top one is without visual composer.
You can read more about the mobile theme here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
2) This could be a plugin conflict so please deactivate all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Also clear any caches you might have on the server.
3) I have checked your mobile menu but it seems to display fine but I see you deactivated the mobile theme. myabe it is tide with the plugins as mentioned above.
AMP and Glue are not tested so we cannot say for sure if they work with our theme. For AMP, one of our top users created a thread about it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-getting-started-with-accelerated-mobile-pages-amp/
Thank you!
Hi,
Two questions regarding sidebar:
1) A lot our articles/posts will be recipes where we want to display the ingredient list in the sidebar, like on the first test page I created: https://www.lettogsunn.no/polse-med-eple-og-rodbetsalsa/
From what I have read it is only possible to have specific sidebar per category, but is there a way to have different sidebar content per POST that are in the same category? What would be the best way to solve this..?
2) On mobile devices for the page I linked to, the sidebar content will be below the button and contact form below the post content. Is it possible to put CSS code that forces all posts in our recipe category to show the button + contact form BELOW the sidebar on mobile devices (since we want to have sidebar/ingredient list just below the post content on mobile devices)?
Thanks a lot for great theme and support!!
Hi,
The sortcodes stopped working on the mobile theme not the desktop version. The mobile theme does not use visual composer in order to privde better page speed so that is why the shortcodes do not get rendered. You can read more about the mobile theme here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Please let us know if the shortcodes do not get rendered on desktop.
Thanks.
Hi,
IF you follow this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ you will see that the big grid on the mobile theme does not show random posts but rather featured posts. The latest posts are underneath it. If this grid would be set to latest as the loop below it, then the first 3 posts will be repeated in both elements.
Thank you!
Hi,
The login can be deactivated from here: http://screencast.com/t/YhnVjkpvB
This will also deactivate the login from the desktop version as well.
If you use the mobile theme the setting can be found at the bottom of the panel in the mobile section (a new option will appear in the panel if you activate the mobile theme)
Thanks.
Hello Catalin,
thank you for your answer!
I tried to deactivate all plugins, but it is still not working with just these 3 Plugins enabled:
– tagDiv Mobile Theme
– TinyMCE Advanced
– WPBakery Visual Composer
Hello mikyasferhat,
If you want that your images from your mobile theme to be displayed in another blank tab please try to follow the steps below.
Please try to add the target="_blank" attribute like this: http://screencast.com/t/309Rhk1avZ then you should have the post featured image open in a new window on mobile and using modal view on desktops.
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about your problem (suggestion) so I can fully understand what you want to achieve.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The colors you set for the mobile menu have a transparency slider that you can adjust to your liking: http://screencast.com/t/tugWV2wGOxd9
Thank you!
I same the same issue and it’s frustrating. I disabled the mobile theme completely until the fix arrives.
Hello durhamcollegechronicle,
Unfortunately, please notice that our theme does not have such an option that give you a way to control the posts in the big grid, sorry! Please notice that the posts in this feature will be displayed only after sorting type chosen from Big Grid panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/vLVBxEvs3 If you want to add some options in our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
For your second request, I suppose that you are referring to the Big Grid from the mobile theme. As you can see, the default behaviour for Big Grid in the mobile theme is to display the posts from Featured Category. So, if you want to change this type of sorting, you will have to alter the code from the front_page.php core file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Plojjmhh0WM
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello, instructed by email to add this in here.
http://www.breadandbutterfootball.com
In the homepage by the header there is a big white gap which I’d like to close up to make website look better. Could I get a CSS code to help with this and where to put it? Thanks
I’ve done every thing possible from clean installing the theme and clearing, purging cache from CDN and browser. THE MOBILE THEME literally appears on the DESKTOP instead of desktop version of theme… causing a huge disappoint for the visitors.
I’m reverting back to the responsive version until fix for this issue arrives.
Hello ben.hinc,
Please notice that this is the default behaviour for our new mobile theme. So, if you want to change the sorting for your Big Grid from the top of the page, you will have to alter the code and change this sorting. Please notice that you will have to edit the front_page.php core file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/9NmGhBcNXf and there you will have to add what type of sorting you like (latest, oldest_posts, popular, etc -> http://screencast.com/t/mnNV8esNFZcM) Please notice that the mobile theme has been designed to be very basic as structure, clear and very fast and because of this we will do not introduce more customization options in this regard. So, if you are unhappy with this, you will have to simply deactivate the mobile theme plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the normal mobile responsive.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
When you’re using sidebar left the html structure of the page it’s a bit changed and there is no easy solution to display the sidebar after content on mobile. As can be seen in this example: http://screencast.com/t/vfnN4nHEY the sidebar comes before the page content and to load it differently for mobile are required some customization in page’s structure.
This is a complex task which require many customizations and tests in order to be achieved.
We can’t offer customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello schwalm,
It seems to be a conflict between your untested plugins and mobile theme. I have checked your website and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which could interfere with the theme and generate a lot of unknown issues -> http://screencast.com/t/gYuH2Hy2P3 Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN file is you are using CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, please notice that the mobile theme is tested and do not create this type of behavior for my side.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hi. We have a website http://myformat.club/
When somebody browse our website on mobile he can not open first top menu category – “ВИДЕО” because it is not clickable.
How to solve that problem?
I went through all those steps that you indicated, but the sidebar still shows up first on mobile. When I implement the first custom css code you gave (the slow one), it had the opposite effect on my desktop version, and no effect on mobile. When I implemented the second custom css code, it had no effect on my mobile or desktop version. Any help please?
I have set image as background from panel >>background >> mobile menu/search background
and panel >> mobile theme>>mobile menu/search background
but image not loading
I am using PNG image having size 1080 X 1074
Hi,
I am using Big grid 3 at the top of my page. As default, on mobile devices only the first article is shown fullwidth, while the other three articles are below on same row and can slide. Is it possible to have these three articles shown fullwidth below the first?
Thanks!
