I would like to move the category description to the posts in function.php
Hi,
I enable AMP theme for my website via Newspaper, it works well.
But I have a problem with enabling Google Adsense for AMP.
I have putted two ad codes for <head></head> and <body></body> html tag, but ads can’t show all the time.
I wonder if I miss something on the theme panel “mobile theme”, I found there is a blank area named “ADSENSE AUTO ADS FOR AMP”. Should I put something in there?
Thanks,
How can I change the default mobile theme font to Poppins?
I wish it was in Poppins everything that the Newspaper Theme plans to defoult.
In particular, the titles of the pages categories, tags, author, and also tags description, category description.
Infinite thanks for the answer you will give me!
I look after http://www.thesteepletimes.com
I currently have some adsence ads running but despite 50k real visitors monthly, we barely make $20-35 a month from these ads.
I have a couple of questions:
To Make more revenue we are looking to sell some directory listings to local businesses and take Banner advertising from them too.
I am looking for the best plugins or other ways of creating directory pages and listings with several categories with interesting and varied content (several images in listing, videos and reviews etc).
I can currently place Adsense ads using the theme ad-block, but I would like to sell banner ads to local clients So I need a good way to place these banner Ads in the theme, so as to be responsive and work on AMP and mobile theme and rotate (change) every minute or so, as well as have statistics. I can create images but the options are limited and they do not respond well,
Can You guys or anyone reading this suggest a solution that works and does not add code that causes problems, or slows site down or conflict with SEO or subscription popups etc.
PS currently I am using thrive themes for the pop ups, is there something better as Thrive seems to slow the site and mess up the page-speed and core web vitals?
Hi it turns out that I used the div composer tag to create a custom mobile page along with its header and footer but I can’t find a way to show it on my home page, how can I achieve this?
Hello Bettina,
I have tried the above steps but still, I am unable to remove “exit mobile version” layout.
Could you please show me through video how to do it?
Hi guys, I\’m having issues with the mobile template not pulling through properly, mobile doesnt display all the sections added on desktop
Hello,
Seems you have the Mobile theme plugin activate, when you install and activate the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
Usually, the problem is from a cache plugin, because you are using the mobile theme plugin, the mobile layout will have a different design and most of the cache plugins do not recognize this and provide the mobile version for desktop (or vice versa). We recommend using WP Super Cache plugin with the settings from our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also, please do a test using only tagDiv plugins, clear all cache and see if the problem persists.
Thank you!
Hello,
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand exactly what you mean by “disable Sidebar For Mobile both with AMP and without AMP”, please provide screenshots, to understand better and to be able to help you.
Thank you!
Will there be an update soon?
Is the easiest way to just add an extra <div> in the mobile theme file?
Exactly as said by @vlalovic in this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/lightbox-images-on-mobile/
The lightbox is already disabled in Theme Panel > Post Settings > General Post Settings, but it keeps working for WordPress galleries if they point to the image files. In my case, I’m using Fancybox but since the Newspaper lightbox doesn’t turn off, it keeps being triggered in galleries.
Seems like I’ll need to filter the gallery in a function but it’s a dirty solution. It would be good to have a way to completely disable the lightbox.

A solution for sending a screenshot is this:

Oh also, I live in Australia and one of our official government tourism sites have content shown on two columns when viewing on mobile.
I’m not saying this is correct, but they *should* have professional website designers behind this site and they’ve done it… I would love for this to be a feature in future updates.
It compresses the content so much better on a mobile rather than a long vertical column of content. Second feature is horizontal scrolling on one row content but I have another forum entry for that.
Hey Vlad, thanks for getting back to me.
I actually just stumbled upon this as it displays something different in the tagdiv composer compared to the live mobile test environment.
I have used Block 15 with Padding x10 on each side, although it seems to just right right left/right sides.
When I view this on tagdiv composer – mobile option, the content aligns stacked (yuk haha)… but when I view on my live test environment on my actual mobile… the content is displayed in two beautiful columns.
I’m going through my customcss but I can’t see anything, nor have I added custom class to the element.

Could you please help me to fix this problem. My website displays mobile theme on computer browser like Chrome, IE. Anyone, know how to fix this problem
We’ve tested our pages (Demo Page) but none of our posts are supporting neither mobile amp menu nor search.
Please help.
Good evening, I just changed my mobile newspaper theme to the AMP version because it’s much faster. The issue I’m having right now is that I can’t place ads in the middle of paragraphs (inline ads). I’ve already put the code on the theme panel and asked it to repeat after a set number of paragraphs but even that doesn’t work. The only ads that are showing are top of page, under page title, under first paragraph, one mid content ad and bottom of page. Some of my post are very long and this will cause my ad revenue to decrease drastically. I’m currently using ezoic, and they have a google chrome extension to put ad placeholders. Even while using their extension the AMP version of my pages won’t let me add the inline ads. Desktop is working fine though. I really hope you can help me resolve this problem as soon as possible. Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon.

I’m having the same issue. I just changed my mobile theme to AMP and now I can’t place inline ads. I’m using ezoic and they have a chrome extension to place ads, but the AMP version won’t let me place ads mid paragraphs. I’m already put in the code in the theme panel and even that doesn’t work. Only a fixed amount of ads is available and that will definitely cause my epmv to drop.
Hey, we use the mobile theme plugin our webste: https://www.revive.nl/
What is the best way to create extra ad spots/places for ads on the mobile theme. We want extra spots on the homepage and under the articles see screencast video: https://www.screencast.com/t/ux2spgIc
Hello!
There are 3 options to use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you want a responsive version for your mobile version, then you should uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin which has its own templates and your responsive version will appear automatically.
Thank you!
Yes its working fine now, is there usually a lag time on the mobile version after updating on the tagdiv composer? I tried a few times and it seems like there is a lag time.
Oh I see. So if I’m using the AMP Mobile Theme all changes I want to make to it need to happen in that module rather than the usual Pages editor.
Hello!
It seems you have installed Mobile theme plugin. If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates (that default style) for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.
If you want to use a mobile page, then you need to assign it to your homepage in order to be displayed. For more information about this mobile version please take a look in this article: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Thank you!
