Hello!

Normally it should reflect the changes from TagDiv Composer in frontend.
For example, if you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.

Also, if you create mobile pages or a cloud template for category, posts, etc , then you need to assign that template to your website in both cases.

If you are not talking about those situations, then probably there you have a plugin conflict which can destroy your displaying elements.

Please note that the default templates or CPT you can not modify with TagDiv Composer plugin.

Thank you!

Hello!

1. This option has no AMP and will display only the Mobile Theme template.
2. AMP will appear on pages and post and for category, search and others will display the Mobile Theme template.
3. This option has only AMP and will display only the AMP version.
Please note that the Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Hope it is more understandable now!

Hello,

From what you describe it seems you have installed Mobile theme plugin. If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.
Also, if you create a mobile page, please check if is set correctly => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

Hello,

If you want to use AMP analytics you have to add the code in Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> AMP => https://prnt.sc/10hunm1
Tag Manager google account should be ok if inserted in here: https://www.screencast.com/t/VIM9TBV9

Please tell me what should I choose between these 3 options. I am confused between 2 and 3

Use mobile theme for :-

1. Mobile – Displays content using the Mobile Theme on small screen devices (no AMP)
2. Mobile+Amp – Displays content using the Mobile Theme on both mobiles and AMP
3. AMP – Uses the responsive version of the theme on small screen devices and Mobile Theme only on AMP.

Hi Anamaria,

I don’t have any posts in the featured category. As for your suggestion, I’m aware of the mobile editor, but how do I customize the homepage so it will look similar to the category pages from the mobile editor?

To be honest, I don’t really want to create a new page via the mobile editor. I just want to set the homepage so it will have a different design (the option to do that must be available somewhere).

Let me know what to do

Hi,

Please check if you have posts in the Featured category. You can set for pages a page content in the mobile editor (content made without builders) for mobile theme plugin => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH
Please tell me how you customized the category page (you can send some screenshots).

Thank you!

Possibly 2 different bugs, possibly related.

I’ve seen this issue all over this forum with no real answer. Tagdiv changes will not save or they will revert back after save. Often, styles will show correctly in the editor but will not show correctly on the front end (example: an element will be set to “hidden” on mobile view, setting in tagdiv will show hidden, but element will still show in both editor and frontend)

– not a plugin conflict
– Newspaper theme up to date
– WP up to date

I’ve enabled the mobile site, copied content, etc. But the editor doesn’t show me what I really see in a mobile device.
This is the website from desktop: https://www.screencast.com/t/OurgYVrvlbz

This is when editing for mobile:
1: https://www.screencast.com/t/qqz0oOWUBIG9
2: https://www.screencast.com/t/qZ6OfsDrjc9

But this is what I really see from mobile:
1: https://www.screencast.com/t/47fp8uyWaN
2: https://www.screencast.com/t/6M276mpEM

Basically I’m missing much of what should be showing and it’s out of order.

If I use AMP Transitional mode and Redirect mobile visitors to AMP, is that impossible for setting up Google Tag manager.
I cant see Google Tag Manager tutorial for Newspaper amp theme on google.
Installing Google Tag Manager requires two GTM installation codes for <head> and <body>

The link on how to make a global mobile header was very helpful, thank you. That is solved now.

I’ve managed to get the mobile templates to work on other pages, but the homepage is still wonky. In the backend on the Cloud Templates page, the “Mobile Template” column is blank for the homepage, even though I have it set on the front end.

I’m not asking about page speed, but about the mobile version of website. I’m using only default theme from newspaper but pageinsight still read my mobile website as cloud library theme

kleinweb

1. Did that.
2. I did pretty much everything in that article, except import header and footer. I will try this, but I still don’t know why the rest of the mobile template isn’t working.

Is there a way to set a global mobile header?

Please verify if you set the mobile page for mobile page what you created like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/olI1bW8Cg92
Please check this article on how to create the mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ and information about header and footer -> https://prnt.sc/10h7mqt

I can’t figure out the workflow to make or set a mobile page design. I am NOT using the Mobile Theme plugin. All the documentation I can find is about the mobile theme plugin, but that does not apply to me.

At first I went to “Edit mobile page” and set that up. I got it to look perfect except I couldn’t edit the menu and footer. After publishing, it does not show up on mobile. Then I tried to edit it by selecting elements/rows in the regular desktop view, selecting the mobile icon, and editing them there. Those styles do show up when I publish, but they also change the non-mobile version of those same elements, undoing desktop stylings and messing up the whole design.

How can I just get the mobile page design I set up to work? And to edit the menu/footer in the menu page design view?? This is taking forever to figure out, and I don’t want to keep breaking my desktop designs.

Hello!

If you created a mobile page, then you should assign that mobile page to your page from desktop and will be displayed on mobile version the design from mobile page.
Please check this topic to understand how you can assign the mobile pages to your website: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/edit-mobile-version/
Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

Hello Bettina,

the problem looks same as listed above.
I have created the mobile page using tagdiv composer, then I deleted the mobile page from page section in WordPress, re-installed the tagdiv composer, but still on mobile header, footer and other elements display as in the mobile page I already deleted. I want to get back to the view I have set up in the main page in tagdiv composer.

Thanks for your help!

I have done several updates in the past of the Newspaper theme – the WordPress version is 5.6.2 and Newspaper is 10.3.9.1. I did it exactly as per the documentation of the Newspaper theme. I even re-installed it once, just to be sure. From past experience, I know this for a fact – once it gets into this mode, it is very difficult to fix it. Pl. help as our mobile version is not working.
