Hello !

I am sorry for misunderstanding !

At the moment what you can do is to use the Autoptimize plugin, that will help reduce this.

Unfortunately at the moment for this there is no workaround.

Thank you !

My newspaper blog is https://britbangla24.com/. I am using your theme and WPML plugin for multilingual option. Its been a while I have tried different layout. I have optimized the images(resmush.it) and databases(wp-optimize). But still my site is very slow. Can you please have a look and let me know anything I can do to improve my performance. I am loosing visitors day by day.

Hello,

The page speed is not related only to the theme that you are using, this is affected by plugins/content/ads/ external resources, etc.
You can see on our demos what page loading speed score can a website loaded with content can have -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_pro/ . However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not, if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.
We have such a great result with this new update and with our new tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc

Thank you!

Hello,

Seems the problem comes from autoptimize plugin => https://www.screencast.com/t/gebLSrf8O1
please disable it, clear all cache(also from your browser) and see if the problem persists.

Thank you!

I saw the video but I don’t have that button for Analyze CSS.

Also, my website is extremely slow and I don’t know what to optimize, change in it with this theme. I saw that removing the Standard Pack and selecting a custom page could make things better but I didn’t find information about how to do that, while maintaining the form and functionality (which is also not good, using some of the tutorial from here) of the old website.

I thought this CSS Analyzer could help but it’s nowhere to be found – and I have the latest version of Newspaper.

Hi, Vlad!

All mobile versions of our sites have this warning in PSI:
https://paste.pics/C2PRB

In your new optimized demo, this message does not appear (in fact, it is labeled as passed audits):
https://paste.pics/C2PRV

As this was not a CSS problem, I highly doubt the new tool (CSS analyzer) did the trick. So, the deve team must have implemented a fix (but didn’t share with us in the update..).

About the TD Composer, already did that (deleting and reinstalling it). It solved the AMP sharing buttons issue, but not this one..

Hello!

Yes, because your website need an optimal speed that’s why you need to make some settings also to help for the improvement.
By the way, we have such a great result with this new update and with our new tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
We have clients which are so excited about their results ( you can check the score of this website for example:https://osaopaulo.org.br/ ) and clients who are disappointed because they just make an update and nothing else, that’s why I said if you will try to make a little effort I’m sure you can have such a great result too, of course if you want.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:

https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
We are building a long term collaboration with our customers. You can see on our demos what page loading speed score can a website loaded with content can have. However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.

Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not, if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.

I hope I was more clear now and more useful!

Hello!

Please check this article which describes mobile pages:
https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

From what you describe it seems you have installed Mobile theme plugin. If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Please note that you can not edit the AMP pages or Mobile Theme with TagDiv Composer plugin.

If you want a responsive version of your website which is looking similar like on desktop, then you need to deactivate Mobile Theme, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.

Thank you!

Hello!

I’m sorry that you could not achieve what you need with our theme.
If you consider our theme as not elegant or not great for you, then you can request a refund here: https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new and we will approve it as soon as possible and Envato will refund your money.

About the page speed, you need to optimize and make some customization after update if you want to have such a great result.

Hello team,

These are the steps I have performed on a test site I have. With CSS analyzer, but I think that I have not done something right, because I can not appreciate great benefits.

Step 1: Deactivate the cache plugin (important, with the cache plugin activated, CSS analyzer gives problems).

Step 2: Login to WP-admin in a Chrome browser

Step 3: Double click on CSS Analyzer

Step 4: Click on “Analyze CSS”.

Step 5: Wait for the program to finish (this will take a few minutes).

Step 6: Save changes.

Step 7: Activate the cache plugin.

Step 8: Empty all the cache (important).

Wait a few minutes for the cache to regenerate and test the results:

And with GPS

The truth is that it has not improved much.

My question is: Am I doing something wrong and how can I get better results?

Another question: I see that the homepage is optimized on desktop, does the CSS Analyzer works also for the mobile version? And for the posts?

Thank you team for this update, it really looks amazing, I know it will be exceptional. I just don’t think I know how to use it properly at the moment.

Hello,

I’m sorry for the misunderstanding, from the first topic I understood that you want a better speed of the website, and for that, you want to optimize those files.
Also, from the last reply, it seems that the reported problem was from the host.

For some reason, Google Chrome is picking up the mobile theme in wide mode for our homepage at https://boisedev.com — NOT the desktop or table version from the non-mobile theme.

This is a mess. Trying to optimize the mobile theme for a landscape mode on top of the portrait mode of most phones is unworkable. How can we get Google Chrome iPad to route to the desktop theme?

The site is on version: 10.3.9.1

Can you better define what you mean by “cleared their database”?

In the database, I have removed entries leftover from previously used plugins and run WP Optimize on it.

Hello,

It looks that your images and thumbs are not optimized, for example, you can use EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, as anthonyfearn said.
Also, you can try other plugins like Autoptimize.

Hi,

Nice site.

Have a look at the Page Speed Insights.

I would start with your image sizes, which need compressing. There are some great plugins that will do this for you in wWordpress.

I have had success with EWWW Image Optimizer (Free).
