Hello,
I see there are no thumbs active on your site. They are the full images shown and some get the 1 pixel width. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
And use the force regenerate plugin to regenerate your thumbs.
Also make sure thumbnails are active in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/2CBpcsFU
Thank you!

Hello,
The theme will add a thumbnail of 1068 x 580 pixels. if you do not want this thumb to be available, simply turn off the thumbnail from the theme pane-> block setting sand regenerate thumbs after: http://screencast.com/t/g8AJyhbyW
Thank you!
Hello fbcv,
I am glad that you could manage your problem. Also, you can try to regenerate all your thumbnails using the Regenerate Thumbnails with Force Regenerate. For more information about this, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Thanks for the message!
hey, I read also previous topics here about this problem but they didnt help and i installed new resizing plugins but they didnt help. on the startpage of my website and on other pages i uses boxes, grids, and a lot of thumbnails are in there. They are wayyy too small, looking very blurry on my PC and mobile device. Also the post image in the post (which is also the thumbnail) is looking too blurry. the image in bigger size (in the post), and in smaller size (as thumbnail) look like very bad quality, but i uploaded it in a good pixel size with over 1000px … what can I do? I can’t continue working like that… Please help. greets. (I also tried deactivating small thumb sizes in the theme panel > block settings, but it didnt help. pictures were just missing, and “Regenerate Thumbnails” or other plugins didnt help…
Did you regenerate thumbnails yet ?
Hi,
You just need to change the thumb size in the module file: http://screencast.com/t/mUjV66aahP
Change it to the thumb size you want if the thumb is already defined or change it to your newly defined thumb.
You will have to regenerate thumbs after you edit thumbnails
Thanks
Sir, i have regenerated the thumbnails but still featured images are getting cropped 🙁
Hello,
Please use this guide to regenerate your thumbnails and fix the strange looking images: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Let us know if you still have trouble with images.
Thank you!
I’m fully aware of how to regenerate thumbnails, but that is if little use when the required thumbnail size isn’t called for by the theme. All of my thumbnails are present and correct, but in this instance the theme isn’t calling for an appropriate one.
Install and run Force and regenerate thumbnails to regenerate this empty thumbs 🙂
Hello,
I’ve read the documentation for retina featured images (https://forum.tagdiv.com/retina-images/) and have a question regarding how it works in practice.
My site (http://www.theapexracing.co) generally uses the default post style which has featured images that are 696px wide. I’m assuming that the Retina size would then be 1392px wide.
If I toggle retina images to on for this image size and regenerate thumbnails, if we don’t have an original image that is at least 1392px wide, will it default to the non-retina image?
In short, what are the fallback options if I enable retina-sized thumbnails but the source images aren’t large enough to create the thumbnails?
Thank you!
Hi
I tried to follow the guidelines and answers on this subject but I could not find a solution.
My problem is the following: I defined my homepage which uses a mix of big grid boxes (as in the theme examples btw).
The posts that I made have all featured images which are big enough to be displayed in any kind of blocks; and all the necessary thumb size are enabled in the theme panel.
example: Big Grid 5 requires 356×220 pics and the post has a featured image 452×600
only a grey area is displayed
I tried to play with thumbnail regenerate tool … no way
My homepage uses different blocks which are all displayed in same way some are either in grey, other in background color (white)
Probably I missed something.
thanks for your help
Well it could be one of the causes. Try to disable the cdn for a quick test and see if the iamage is loaded properly afterwards. Try to regenerate after you disable max cdn as well.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi,
Thanks. I did regenerate the thumbnails but it’s not working. I am using MaxCDN for my images. Could this be the problem?
By the way: I don’t have the retina option in the settings.
Cheers,
Marc
Hello Bogdan,
I didn’t translate something yet manually.
I also checked some other settings of the theme and until now it seems that everything works fine.
So, I deactivated all the plugins as you proposed except “visual composer” and “WP Super cache”. I cleared the cache and tried again without any luck.
I don’t use wordfence and I don’t have any cdn files.
Plugin list that I use: Admin Columns, Coming soon and Maintenance mode WpDevArt, Enhanced Media Library, EWWW Image Optimizer, greeklish-permalinks, Regenerate Thumbnails, tagDiv Mobile Theme, tagDiv Social Counter, tagDiv Speed Booster, WP Super Cache, WPBakery Visual Composer and Yoast SEO
Now should I start translating from English to Greek ? 🙂
Hello,
Please make sure the proper thumbs for the gallery are checked here: http://screencast.com/t/xSI4PW01g
After you cahnge this setting you will have to regenerate your thumbs. Also make sure you do not use any image optimization tools such as photon (jetpack feature)
You can then use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Thank you!
The images are already bigger than the thumbnail, and I just regenerated all the thumbnails, but the problem hasn’t changed.
Good evening and my sincere apologies for my late reply!
Indeed I had to regenerate the thumbnails to fix the issue
Many thanks for your help

Hi all,
It is very likely to be an issue related with the wp-install. Try to re-save the permalinks, and also try to use the default setting for them: http://screencast.com/t/AiL3qxkM clear all caches then test the site again. You can also try to regenerate the .htaccess file as it may also be a problem related to the permissions that the user have: https://codex.wordpress.org/htaccess
Thanks!
OG tags have nothing to do with images appearing in your posts/layouts.
a) try disabling lazy load image effects
b) be sure to ‘regenerate’ thumbs for your layout (make backups first!)
c) be sure to check the settings in theme panel to actually ‘enable’ the image sizes for modules/blocks you intend to use
d) be sure to clear all caching in site if used and in web browser
e) make sure you actually have ‘featured’ images assigned to each post
f) make sure you have ‘use featured image’ enabled in the post settings
Thanks for early replay.
I have already installed the Thumbnail Regenerate plugin and applied to the current pictures.
Other picture thumbnails work fine, problem is Big Grid 4.
How to fix ?
HI
The plugin WP Retina 2x id not tested or included in theme’s path and we can’t say that it will work fine with the theme so you can try to deactivate it an check how it goes. Since V 3 we added retina support for theme’s thumbnails, you can enable it from theme panel > block settings: http://screencast.com/t/QpB1QNYY Note that you need to regenerate your thumbs if any changes are made there.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
