Hi,
@urdunet The theme does not support RTL direction, it is not optimized for this and there are no guides or tutorials that I could provide you with. If attempted there will most likely be issues, these could only be solved with customization and modifications on your part.
@efunny That is happening because of RTL, not that plugin. I could give you a solution to fix that issue, but others may happen caused by RTL. Enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS and see if the problem is fixed
#td-mobile-nav {
position: fixed;
}
Thanks
In addition, I also use the following:
1. WP BItly – WP Bitly can be used to generate shortlinks for your website posts, pages, and custom post types. Extremely lightweight and easy to set up!
2. Use Google Libraries – Allows your site to use common javascript libraries from Google’s AJAX Libraries CDN, rather than from WordPress’s own copies.
3. WP Fastest Cache – I use it with Autoptimize since it makes my site faster than wp super cache.
4. Autoptimize – I use it to Optimise JavaScript code, and compressing it (no CSS coz it breaks or strips certain colour codes).
5. Download Monitor – A full solution for managing downloadable files, monitoring downloads and outputting download links and file information on your WordPress powered site.
6. Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP) – Displays Google Analytics Reports and Real-Time Statistics in your Dashboard. Automatically inserts the tracking code in every page of your website.
7. Login LockDown – Adds some extra security to WordPress by restricting the rate at which failed logins can be re-attempted from a given IP range.
8. MailChimp Forms by Optin Cat – The Mailchimp Optin Cat WordPress Plugin Makes It Super Simple To Create Beautiful Mailchimp Sign-up Widgets & Forms In Minutes.
9. Subscribe to Comments Reloaded – Subscribe to Comments Reloaded is a robust plugin that enables commenters to sign up for e-mail notifications. It includes a full-featured subscription manager that your commenters can use to unsubscribe to certain posts or suspend all notifications.
10. WPForms Lite – Beginner friendly WordPress contact form plugin. Use our Drag & Drop form builder to create your WordPress forms.
You don’t have to use all of these. Just choose the ones that suit you.
Hi, my name is anthony and i am contacting you to hopefully get some help regarding stick sidebars. For some reason no matter what I try my stick sidebar will not turn on on any page. I have already turned off all of the plugins, I have turned on smart sidebars in theme menu, I have installed and reinstalled the dome and theme and I have even tried different sidebars, however nothing will get them to work. Please help me with this issue as soon as possible because we are about to launch our site very shortly. Thanks!
can you provide a video tutorial link of rtl customization?
guys when i did split my post into 10 parts and i choose the smartlist the paragraphs dont show up.it only shows the title and image then no paragraphs then the next and back button
how can i fix this please
Hello, I am currently trying to code in custom ad #3 into Smartlist 7.
In smart list 7 the default ad is referenced as
$buffy .= td_global_blocks::get_instance(‘td_block_ad_box’)->render(array(‘spot_id’ => ‘smart_list_7’, ‘spot_title’ => $tds_smart_list_7_title));
How would i call custom ad #3? I haven’t come across the code anywhere.
Thanks
Rob
Hello,
I cannot see the issue now. It is most likely because of your RTL customization. Our theme does not support RTL by default so only through customization can you achieve the result wanted. If the customization is not done properly, all kinds of layout errors can appear. Be careful with your implementation.
Thanks.
Dear Simion,
I’m make a top 100 and I want to cut it in 5 different pages.
So I’d like my raking to go from 100 to 80 on the 1st page and then from 79 to 60 on the 2nd one…
Is there a way to specify by which number the smartlist should start?
Thanks for your help
Hi,
That would be caused by RTL most likely. Please try and understand that the theme does not support RTL, there is no design or functionality made in this regard. It would require many changes and modifications to the theme to make it work properly in RTL conditions.
Thanks
Hi,
Now it works. As I mentioned above the theme will not work properly with RTL, this is why the issue is happening. I could give you a code for this issue specifically, but others may happen with different elements and other modifications will be necessary.
Try entering this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section
#td-mobile-nav {
position: fixed;
}
It should fix this problem, but it could create others as well.
Thanks
Hi,
From what I have seen before similar issues happened in RTL circumstances. The theme is not optimized for RTL, elements from the theme will break their positioning in these circumstances.
If that is not the case, please provide a link to the website if possible, so we can inspect it.
THanks
Hi, is it possible to create links to posts under submenus?
Like this site: http://thesmartlocal.com/
Hi,
The theme does not support RTL direction at the moment. The theme design and elements are not optimized in this matter, so most likely there will be layout issues. This will require modifications to the theme design, and it will mean a lot of work probably.
I could take a look if you could provide a link to your website, I will try to give you a solution if possible.
Thanks
Hello dear TagDiv,
I am using the rtl version of wordpress.
When I activate the theme ( I have installed child theme also ) and td mobile plugin too,
the website in the desktop and mobile need an horizontal scroll!
How can I fix this?
Funnily enough, this is partly why I personally moved to Newsmag. It is more of a pure news/magazine theme and not a swiss army knife — on the other hand, Newspaper is the TD “flagship” and folks want to be able to do anything with it, hence the top seller status.
@pedropapito – you might checkout TD’s other theme “Newsmag” which (thankfully) continues to be a bit more focused on a simple “news portal” — more similar to Newspaper v1 and v2.
Unfortunately for the moment we do not have any plan in motion for implementing RTL. This decision was not taken by our development team yet.
Thanks.
i hope it updated in the future and be compatible with rtl support
Hello,
Sorry but our theme does not have RTL support and there is no simple method of implementation unfortunately. If you need RTL and cannot use the theme without it, you can ask for a refund here: https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new and we will provide it so you can choose a rtl compatible theme.
Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.
Hello xbass,
Unfortunately, this is not possible with our theme, sorry! Please refer here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/support-rtl/
Thanks.
Interesting, can you combine LTR and RTL on one website?
Hi,
The theme does not support RTL direction, it is not optimized for this and there are no options. There will most likely be issues that could only be solved with customization and modifications on your part.
These are some WordPress suggestion for RTL
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Right-to-Left_Language_Support
If you changed WordPress in a RTL language you should be able to write in the according direction.
Thanks
