RTL - reply

Hi,
I know you do not support RTL, but I have a few “little” problems to fix.
1. I have to move “latest cat.” to left – pls see image: http://pictub.club/image/NOxzC
2. Catecory Block in main page float to left pls see image: http://pictub.club/image/N4XZq

And that’s all.
Of course, if you can help.

Best Regards.

Hello veet1975,

Our theme has no RTL support because it has been designed to be used in this layout, sorry!
Unfortunately, we have no plan on implementing it in the near future. Implementing RTL support in our theme will require 2 style.css files and it will add significant “weight” to the theme. Using the RTL mode means that lots of elements have to be adjusted and this thing involves custom work and we cannot provide this at the moment!
Please try to do a simple search of our forum and you will see that our team offers support only for theme related problems and which not require additional customizations. Please check again our support policy here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/

Thanks for your understanding!

We understand and we will try to do so, but unfortunately RTL requires much customization and in most cases it requires a good amount of time spent and since we are a small team and do not have a customization department, it is very difficult for us to tackle such tasks.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hello,

Unfortunately I wish it were so. It’s not that i don’t want to help. The user you mention also asked us for help in this matter via email and we replied in the same way. There is no easy way to customize the theme and make it RTL. The issue you are facing is caused by the modifications made to css. It could also have been a caching issue as i don’t see the problem anymore on your site: http://screencast.com/t/PIlrdYmKudi
We wish we had a simple way of making our theme RTL but unfortunately this is no simple task as you have already seen.
If you decide you cannot use our theme properly because of the RTL issue, we will be able to provide a refund so you can choose another RTL compatible theme.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello,

Please provide an example of a non rtl and non-customized site that has the mobile theme menu appear on the front-end without any custom rtl.css. (I’m not sure where the rtl.css comes from. If it;s a plugin, there is no rtl plugin tested with our theme.)
If the problem only originated when moving online, you might check your host to see what issue can show up when moving to an online environment, any caching on the server, any firewall…etc.
If you can provide an example with a default site without customization providing any problems such as you describe, we will gladly look into it via contact@tagdiv.com.

Thank you!

Hello,
Sorry but our theme has no RTL options and altering the css to work in TL mode will provide this issue as the mobile menu is hidden outside of the view but if the layout is altered it will show up as it does on your site. Please ask a developer to help in altering the theme code. Our theme does not have RTL support and it has to be implemented properly at a development stage. There is no easy solution we can provide for RTL. If you cannot use our theme without RTL support we will be able to provide a refund if you make a request on envato.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,

Excuse me Bogdan but im not in total agreement with ur diagnostic.

1. The issue of the mobile menu on the left of the page is present in another site (ltr) i made based on ur theme.

2. In my localhost everything is fine with the VC. The problem began to appear when i hosted my work online.
The only modification i did is adding an rtl.css file. I didnt modify the core of the plugin at all.

3. I can give u the access to the backend if u give me where to send it privately to u

Hello javid,

I have inspected your website and I did not saw any problem with your mobile menu to the desktop mode. Everything seems to work as properly. Try to clear all your caches and check the results.
Also, please keep in mind that the theme doesn’t have RTL support and you will need custom modifications for an RTL site. Unfortunately, the time doesn’t allow us to provide any type of custom services and if you develop an RTL site you will need custom work and I can only suggest getting someone to help you.

Thanks for the message!

Hello,
I see you customized the them to make it work with rtl mode so there is a high chance your customization broke the layout and the plugin. Please try to restore the theme to it;s default code and test without any modification. You can create a sub-domain if you want or create a back-up of you work
Thank you!

Hi Guys

Ive been using the newspaper theme for almost a year and just found out about your smartlist option. Prior to this Ive been using Theia Post Slider to Navigate through my sub pages in post example https://www.fashionghana.com/site/day-3-windhoek-fashion-week-2016-namibia-part-2/2/ . However, after discovering your smart list I am now about to begin replacing all posts with theia post slider to your smart list, which is over 100 hence why I need the following questions answered.

1. TITLE: Theia Post Slider has a cool feature, where as with a title short code, you can actually change the name of the smart list page. This helps whilst sharing on social media, especially for the purposes I will be using the smart list for. Is there any way you smart list can give individual smart list slides their own title?

2. NUMBERING: Can you consider in your next upgrades a possible smart list option for smart lists that do not need numbering?

3. NEXT/PREVIOUS POSITION: There are some great smart list template options, I am much interestd in using smartlist 5 for the above, however the buttons only appear at the top. Is it possible to maintain the sliding properties of smartlist 5 whilst having buttons at the bottom.

Hi,

Now that is a really old version of our theme that indeed was rtl compatible, but RTL was discontinued for the problems it caused our themes. Since the immediate following version (newspaper 4), RTL was discontinued and no longer supported, We are now at version 7 so you can imagine, there is no rtl support anymore ever since newspaper 3. Sorry for the inconvenience caused but there is no easy way of changing the theme direction. You can switch the language to a rtl one, but the theme elements will not switch places. It can only be made through customization and we do not have any solution to provide in this regard. If we had, we could have simply marked the theme as rtl compatible, bunt unfortunately this is not the case.
If you decide you cannot make the customization needed or you cannot hire a freelancer to help out, we will be able to provide a refund so you can choose another theme that is rtl compatible.

Thank you!

If you want a refund you can request it on envato and we will approve it, but please show us where did you see our themes described as rtl compatible

Thank you!

I have the mobile theme active and I have used the smartlist.
On mobile you have back and next buttons at the top and bottom. When I goes to each item in the smartlist, hitting the next button, each time the counter view (how many times a page have been watched) is increasing by each click. Is that correct? I would say it is still the same user. I have the website also running local, and there it isn’t increasing and the pageview keeps the same.

I can’t figure it out, what should be the correct way.

Anyway you can help me with this?

Can you tell me the size (width x height) of the background ad. There is any possibility to have opportunity to have full height ad? Look this the background image is to small…

Hi,

The theme doesn’t have rtl support and you will need custom modifications for a rtl site. Unfortunately the time doesn’t allow us to provide any type of custom services and if you develop a rtl site you will need custom work and I can only suggest to get someone to help you.
If you did not knew that the theme doesn’t come with rtl support and you cannot use the template, you can ask for a refund here – https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new and we will agree with it so you can find another template which comes with rtl support.

Thanks!

OK,

You did not mention this but when using a smart list, the alignment does not work anymore no matter the image size. You should have mentioned you use a smart list from the start. A smart list in totally different from a normal post. A smart list will ignore the wp settings. A smart list will even ignore the wordpress thumbnails and provide the image as big as the container ignoring the thumb size you add from the media library of WP.
Smart lists have a predefined style and it cannot be altered from the wp mce editor. You will also notice that images will not even keep their position. If you add an image to the bottom of a list item for example, some smart lists will move the image to the top considering it as a sort of “featured image” for the list item.
This is the way the smart lists were created. They are not usual posts.
If you still want to alter the style and align the images right you should wrap your images inside a div container like for example :

<div class="smartlist_image"> place your image code here </div>

Then you can add this code in the them panel->custom css code:

.smartlist_image{
float:right;
}

The you simply need to wrap all your images from the smartlist content inside the div element and your images will align to the right.

Thank you!

Hello,

Unfortunately most of these will require custom implementation and we do not have a customization department. We try to help out where we can though.
For the ad, smartlists have their ad section in the theme panel where you can change the ad size: http://screencast.com/t/HmFIrv0X
Any other ad besides the intended one must be added through hard-coding in this file: http://screencast.com/t/xMvKMrenl
If you want to remove the bottom buttons you can remove them from here: http://screencast.com/t/scJPi3eN
The color style can be changed by adding this css code in the theme panel->custom css box:
.td-smart-list-button{
background-color: red;
}

The hover color is added by the theme accent color.
Again. if you want another ad, the theme ad spots cannot offer only 1 spot. You will have to add them in the theme code by using a do_shortcode function
https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/do_shortcode/

Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately the Theia Post Slider is not one of the tested plugins and I’m not aware about it’s functionality and/or if it is working properly with the theme. We have a list of the tested plugins beside the ones provided with the theme and for each theme release we consider this and make the necessarily modifications for the theme to support theme.
Also you have specified about the support, please note that we offer support for the theme’s related issue based on envato support policy – https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy We cannot provide any type of custom services or plugins implementations, sorry! I suggest to hire freelancer to make the necessarily modifications and implement the plugin wot work properly with the theme.
I could recommend to use the smartlist template 7 on your post content – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/5-interesting-facts-about-russia/2/

Thanks!

How can I change the default font?
Is there one option or do I have to change it in all the font categories?

Thank you in advance.
